Car class reserved not available. Wait estimated at 1h. Class above immediately available but was asked to pay an upgrade! Took a lower class (no refund there...). Was informed that any breakdown would cost me 290$ for intervention, after I mentioned I was using my credit card insurance. And funnigly, the car I was given had a permanent hand brake alarm problem despite hand brake unlocked. this at pick up, but i didn't have time anymore to exchange. Gd thing I did only a small number of km.... Not a good experience this time. thks best SylvainReviewed 20 May 2024

On the website, it tells you you can book with a debit card but you still need a credit card if you’re not out of state, which doesn’t make any sense!Reviewed 20 May 2024

We had a terrible experience with Alamo and likely will not be giving our business to Alamo again. The pickup process and the staff in Rome was fantastic, but the drop off process in Florence was a nightmare! When we drove into Florence, we arrived at the address we were provided both by the Alamo staff in Rome and in our rental agreement. The office was in a terrible location and was not open despite arriving during listed business hours. Since the office was closed, we had to take the rental car to our hotel and pay to valet park it overnight. When we went to return the rental car at the listed opening time the next morning, we waited in a line at the provided address, only to get to the front and be immediately directed to a parking garage that was NOT listed on the rental return agreement without the staff doing anything to acknowledge and process the return. We were provided unclear instructions on where the return garage was that did not take into account current road closures. Due to needlessly waiting in line at the return location provided by Alamo in the rental agreement, the return process not being initiated in the system upon our arrival at the provided location, and the delay in finding the return garage, we arrived at the garage 15 minutes after our return time and charged for an entire extra day. Had we had clear instructions on where to return the vehicle, we would have had a much better experience.Reviewed 19 May 2024

I didn’t realize that jeep was such a weird card to rent. The GPS dropped me in the middle of Honolulu twice when it failed to function. Interface is needlessly complicated with a bunch of switches that are different than other vehicles. That’s confusing. The so-called removable top is actually only two parts. It’s a tee top, but the roof doesn’t come off over the backseats or the way back. Doors slam hard and lack resistance. I will never rent another Jeep unless I absolutely need offloading capability because this made a terrible car to drive around in.Reviewed 17 May 2024

Everyone from the agent on the phone to the agent at the airport desk to the employees and staff were above and beyond. Getting the car and returning the car were both super easy and the quality of the rental was top notch. Thank you!Reviewed 16 May 2024

They kept trying to upcharge us for everything! Our original price went from $140 to like $400 before I said no to all extra charges. The drop off location was also INCREDIBLY difficult to find.Reviewed 15 May 2024

The vehicle I reserved had an inoperative AC compressor. Alamo quickly substituted an equivalent vehicle but the new car was EXTREMELY dirty from the previous family and had not likely been cleaned by Alamo. I was in an rush to depart for our family trip so I could not take the time to have Alamo clean the car. During the course of the rental period, I detailed the interior which was filthy and washed the outside of the vehicle. As I was returning the car at Orlando International Airport, the attendant asked me if I was happy with the rental. I explained what happened and what I had done. He instantly apologized and then offered to compensate me with a discount on the rental. I was overwhelmed and shocked that he would offer that to me without my asking. It shows how serious Alamo is about customer satisfaction. I would rent from Alamo any time I am on travel. Keep up the great work!Reviewed 14 May 2024
