Drop-off was GREAT! Sooooo easy; however, the wait to pick up the car was VERY long. Just bad timing/luck I guess. I assume that this wasn't the norm. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

Pros:

Staff were very nice and helpful. Once we made it to the rental facility pick up was very easy. Dropping off the car on the way out was also very easy. The car itself was nice and clean.

Cons:

Airport shuttle only comes every 30 minutes. We just missed it so were waiting a full 30 minutes before it came to take us to the rental facility.

Staff were inept. There is zero customer parking. Staff were rude. They refused to accept my ID. I was forced to Uber to a different Avis and make a new reservation at a higher rate.

Initial pickup of car was the only negative part of rental. Car was not clean on inside and outside. The was a notice of minor dent at rear of car..Performance of c@r was good. Personnel were good with pickup/return…

Maintenance light was on from the beginning. Questioned before we left and gal said Tacoma trucks have that issue. Ran fine but a little unsettling knowing some kind of maintenance was due.

Pros:

Absolutely nothing. Worst rental experience of my life. Car was dirty upon pickup. Had to make a few changes to my itinerary and their customer service line was busy or disconnected. It automatically more than doubled my charges. When I left a poor review at Avis, I was contacted by a customer service manager who said he would credit me back $200...and after 3 follow up emails over the course of 2 weeks, he has not responded. Horrible company

Absolutely everything. Terrible experience and will never rent from them again

1. Some one right there to check in the car or at least say they'd be right there. 2. Hot to open gas tanks written inside car. 3. How to change display back to mph instead of koh.

Car was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. ONCE THEY STAFFED THE COUNTER PROPERLY FOR THE REZ LOAD. It took literally 2 hours in line to pick up car. Two agents for Avis / budget combined with at least 70 people in queue. After hour and half , 3 agents arrived and helped solve it. But missed an afternoon of touring planned. I have traveled for 45 years and it was worst pickup line delay i have ever experienced. Not agents fault but mgr should be aware of rez load with flights info.

Mystery car: is a medium size [not small] pickup truck. Awkward, bulky, hard to park. Returning the truck was the biggest problem. I followed the Budget signs till they ran out, and couldn't find the return bay. I asked for help and was told "over there" repeatedly. Staff finally said "just leave it here, we'll take care of it."

Cleanliness was very poor, there was trash from prior rental, steering weel was sticky, and overall dirty interior. Value would be better if the car was well kept, but when you calculate the added cost of having to rent at the airport with the condition of the vehicle it is not a good value.

Having the Budget Fast Break was immensely helpful in speeding up picking up this rental process. It’s free- do this for a very expedited pick-up. Drop off was also a piece of cake and quick!

Ian was very polite professional and knowledgeable. And he and his team seem to enjoy working their jobs and each other which is super refreshing to see. Ian is a real asset to your company. I have rented many cars in my life and it’s always been a neutral, at best, experience. Ian made it easy and friendly. He’s a great guy. Keep him around! He probably deserves a raise… and that is an unsolicited opinion! Just I’ve been part of running small businesses for decades and have also been part of teams for years and I recognize a special employee when I see them.

I called several days in advance and was told all was confirmed (after booking months in advance). I arrived at the pickup, only to be told they didn't have the minivan I reserved. They proceeded to say that the 3rd party sites didn't communicate well with Enterprise and hinted that I should have booked direct. I showed them my confirmation that had their logo and address while they attempted to get me to accept a 4-5 passenger small SUV. I was transporting part of a team, so that wouldn't work. They said to come back the next day because there were no minivans in the city...even though I had reserved one. So I drove the 25 minutes home and 25 minutes back the following morning. They found and cleaned one (great!) and attempted to charge me nearly double (not great!). Fortunately I caught it, and all ended well. Was just a HUGE hassle and delay, mixed with 3 employees not seeming to know what was going on.

I went through Kayak and rented the car through Hotwire. You expect the customer service for a company to be experts at what they do. They were not in this case. My delta flight to Portland was an hour late which put me outside of my pick up time at Enterprise. I called Hotwire customer service and was told I would have to rebook my rental car. This was after they contacted Enterprise on my behalf. 15 minutes later after my rental with Enterprise was cancelled, my daughter found that they have a policy of waiting 2 hours after close for delayed flights. It cost me an extra $500 to rebook my rental. To say I am upset would be an understatement. I expect that either Kayak or Hotwire will reimburse me for the added cost.
