The meal buffets were amazing! The staff was extremely polite and accommodating and spoke impeccable English. The view from the hotel were also fantastic.
The hotel needs some maintenance attention. We only had a couple available outlets in the room and 1 wasn't working so we had to unplug all the lamps to charge our devices and use my breathing machine to sleep and the lamps cords were frayed and coming apart to it was dangerous. Also, the water/tea pot was broken and we had to ask 3 times, even leaving a note for housekeeping (which they threw away but did not replace the pot) to get one that worked.

wonderful near city-center location
the hot humid Thailand weather, which is not under the control of the hotel itself. So the hotel itself is excellent.

We have traveled to Bangkok 3 times since 2006. Each time we have stayed at Century Park. We enjoy the facilities and the very good buffet breakfast. We like the location because we are familiar with the area and have some favorite restaurants in the area and it is convenient to the subway. The staff is always polite and helpful.
I rated the cleanliness of the room as "fair" only because of an experience during this trip. We actually had two separate reservations. We stayed for the nights of Oct 22 thru 24, then returned to Century Park for the nights of Oct 29 thru 31. On our first visit, our room was on the 18th floor, it was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. When we returned on the 29th, we were put on the 16th floor. As soon as we stepped off of the elevator, we could smell cigarette smoke in the hall. When we got to our room, it smelled of cigarette smoke and there even was an ashtray and a pack of Century Park matches on the table. The belhop called the desk and said we were unhappy with the room. The front desk person finally moved us to the 18th floor.
