Pros: It was our second stay at the Peninsula and it was even better than the first time. The quality of services is amazing and people are really caring and taking care of your wishes with a smile and full politeness. Their Mediterranean restaurant is excellent as well as the Lobby for tea time. The room is extremely nice and has full facilities, nespresso machine, mini bar, tea facilities , dressing room, and big bathroom with both shower and bath and two sinks. All is controlled via a kind of iPad which works great! I love also their concierge box. It is extremely central and situated in a luxury small shopping center.
Cons: A little bemol for the in room breakfast where the choice of bread could be improved.

Pros: A lovely hotel which lives up to its namesake even here in Beijing. Well situated in the heart of the city with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Attentive staff.
Cons: I would like to see a little updating to stay on par with other luxury brands, i.e Peninsula hotel.

Pros: They had an awesome rooftop bar.. With live guitar, fireplace outdoor deck with heaters.. Trendy but not annoyingly loud. Comfy intimate places to sit.. Can't say enough.. The room was clean, updated and comfortable. Free WiFi in the room. Was a short walk to forbidden city and T. Sq.. A couple malls nearby, McDonald's next door.. 7 11 a couple blocks away.. Get your western stuff including vodka, wine, snacks. Concierge was helpful, Front desk accomodating considering the only shocker that happened to us.. Got a confirmation number and payment withdrawal from my account. For our reservation only to arrive and was told that kayak cancelled my reservation.. Strange since they took the money. The hotel gave us last room, and settled with us after kayak returned the payment at the end of our 4 day stay. Could have been worse.. Kayak? No explaination.. No apology.. Go figure. And... Kayak got no commission.. Booked through hotel at same rate.
Cons: Kayak reservation system.. Explained above Taxi in Beijing as westerner, impossible.. They want more than the meter.. If you can find one.. Hotel will get one.. Comming back.. Goodluck.. Plan to walk.

Pros: Excellent facilities. I stayed for eight nights over the Chinese New Year. The club lounge was nice and quiet, but the food variety stayed the same for all those days.
Cons: The downstair restaurant was a bit noise with kids and families. Some of the doormen lacked enthusiasm for service. No one greeted me or helped with luggage, my brother did all of the loading unloading, which was a pity for a five star hotel.

Pros: The Park Plaza is an excellent hotel and well worth the money that we paid for our 5 night stay. It is very well maintained and excellently located extremely close to the Dengshikou metro stop and within easy walking distance of the Wangfujing walking street. The staff is friendly and highly efficient. Everything worked excellently. The buffet breakfast was excellent as well. There is nothing negative that I can think of about the hotel. I will make it my Beijing hotel choice for all future visits to the city. It is well worth the moderate cost.

Pros: Eric from the concierge was awesome and so vital to us completing all of our sight seeing tasks for the trip. He arranged taxi's, helped up purchase tickets for temples and even seeing the great wall of China. He checked in with us to make sure we were ok and to see if we needed anymore assistance. He was very polite, caring and of professional. He was outstanding!
Cons: Access to the rooftop bar would have been nice to see. We tried to go have drinks and food after a long day but found out you needed to purchase a meal plan with kinda a bumber! So we went down the street to eat. Kinda weird because youd think they would want you to spend money at the hotel.

Cons: We were there on a national holiday. Not complaining, as we accepted following offer. Given high occupancy, check in agent offered us a windowless room for first night of two night stay, in exchange for upgrade to club floor amenities (17th floor lounge access including breakfast for both nights). We accepted offer, worked out fine.

Cons: Air conditioning was not turned on in the building, so our room was really hot during our stay. We requested a fan very early and never received it. I recommend turning the air on earlier in the year.

Cons: Parts of the hotel were not open to the public which should have been shared at the time of booking not two days before. The floors were never vacuumed during a one week stay. Other than that, the hotel was clean. However, since it is a 4 or 5 star hotel, it was a little surprising that the hotel staff's English wasn't a little better.

Pros: Very good location, walkable to the dongsi station, market and lots of food options. Even walkable to the forbidden city. Gym was a little lacking but decent. Had one night where the power was acting funny and we couldn't turn off the lights without the whole room shutting off. But the workers they sent up fixed it immediately in the morning. Comfortable and clean overall, we enjoyed it.
