They gave us a keys to our room but when we got there we found luggage on the beds where another family was already in it. When we got back to the front desk they told us there were no other rooms available and we had to go to another hotel up the road (not another Hilton). There were literally no other options given to us. They said they just “overbooked”. When we arrived at the other hotel they had one room left and it didn’t have hot water. We booked this DoubleTree Hilton hotel room months ago and paid a non-refundable rate. We never anticipated we wouldn’t have a place to stay when we arrived in a ski town during the busiest week of the year. They shouldn’t have booked (and charged people) for rooms they didn’t have available. This wasn’t like we were in a big city with plenty of hotels available. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had and no one even seemed to care that this was happening. I should have put my foot down and just moved the other people’s things out of my room and told them to deal with it. I’m sure the hotel would have cared to help us then.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Hotel is in terrible condition. It is a complete construction zone with NO amenities. It should not be opened.

Was called the day before to be told the hotel is under construction and that no amenities like the pool, gym or restaurant would be available. Turns out there is no air conditioning at all and the fans they provided still left the room at 80 degrees. Miserable with a new born. Stayed one night and left for the Marriott

Pros:Right across from ski lift. Easy access. Hotel service is fantastic every interaction I had was great.
Cons:Layout was odd. Made you walk long distances. Hard to find some things within the building as some signs were missing or just incorrectly placed.

Pros:Proximity to slopes, ski valet to slopes, shuttle service to Main Street Breckenridge. Overall standard hotel. great price for location.
Cons:Room was a little warm even with the heat turned down. Slight buzzing/rattle sound from one of the ceiling sprinklers. Breakfast buffet was overpriced at $25 and the coffee/snack bar was also very expensive.

Pros:The rooms were nice quality, beds were comfy by hotel standards, and it was a good location with good views.
Cons:With only a couple of exceptions, most of the staff was rude and didn't seem to really care about their guests.

Cons:If you stay at the 7th floor and up, you need to take a long walk to the elevator, take it up to the 6th floor, walk again to the other side of the hotel, take a second elevator to your floor and walk again to your room. I don't consider such a journey to my room as "luxury".

Pros:walk out access to slopes, hot tub time machine, easy stroll into town- watch out for ice downhill.
Cons:skis kept being lost due to room sticker falling off, but were quickly found. skis not allowed in room, which could have prevented this but oh well
