No record of my rental at Alamo
Cons: I went to the airport to pick up the car and there was no record of my rental. The confirmation number emailed to me did not work in their computer system. It took a very long time to resolve and made me late for my day. I will not be using Kayak again.

Cons: The final price was not adjusted down even though I bought the vehicle back an hour earlier than the contract called for.

What did not work
Cons: The return parking was confusing with self parking. The Alamo was full of cars so we parked a competitor's row at Pasco Airport. Lots of stains on the seats-gross.

Cons: No USB port, no power plug in. It meant I couldn't use my GPS.
Pros: The people who work at your location on 24th st were very patient with me and almost made up for what I believe is an illegal bait and switch scheme.
Cons: I put in my pickup location on kayak as PSC, which is the Pasco Wa airport. I arrive at the pasco airport enterprise counter only to find out that I booked my reservation for the enterprise location 1.5 miles away (even though i put the airport in as my pickup location), and that their policy doesn't allow them shuttle people in between ocations. My options were to pay for a cab to enterprise, or pay more money for a worse vehicle than what i booked because the full size vehicles were out of stock at the airport. Convenient hey, how i put in the airport code where i want to pick it up and then get told my only options are to pay more money than what I booked. I walked to the other location, in my suit, after a flight. It was a short flight, but that doesn't make it any more comfortable for a 6'6" person. I will only be booking car rentals with enterprise and kayak in emergencies from now on because I believe they both lack integrity and don't care about the consumer.

Pros: Because we have not rented a car in Pasco, we had a hard time finding the car. Once we figured that out, everything was OK
Cons: Pick up in Portland was kind of the same. The person in the front office didn't enter my whole name, just the first and middle name. because of that, Discover didn't recognize the name and the number, the card was blocked. I called the 800# and the Discover person resolved it immediately.

Great value and ease
Pros: Simpler than taking another flight where I have to show up to the airport early, wait on their schedule, and the drive from the airport.
Cons: The customer service was mediocre at best, and to extend the car rental, even though there are many available at this location, was ridiculously expensive.

Nobody at the counter
Pros: Drop-off right next to terminal at the small airport
Cons: Counter agent was in restroom so had to leave keys with another service guy. Still no email confirmation of return.

Cons: Interaction with representative upon return was at best less than friendly. When I ask questions about why a walk around to inspect for any preexisting damage was not performed ( I don’t rent cars offen) he looked at me like I was stupid. His reply was that they don’t have the personel to do that. So I ask how does Budget know what dents/scratches were preexisting and which were new. Once again his reaction to my question was as if I was wasting his time in asking a question. All in all I think I’ll probably not rent from Budget again.
