Cons: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE...CHOOSE ANY PLACE BUT HERE!!!!!!!!! Dropped off by shuttle from Hartford Bradley airport. 12 people in line in front of me, was told most have been waiting over an hour. Cars were available, two employees working the counter but utter and complete incompetency caused me to wait on line for over 85 minutes for a car. Just this year I have rented cars 8 other times so I think I know how these things should go. There were cars available the delay was 100% from having just a horrible grossly incompetent staff.
When a third person tried to help one of the two women working the counter yelled at him that "they had a system'. That same woman, instead of apologizing to customers about the wait was complaining to them about how hard she had it!!!! When another employee finally stepped in to help he did not assist the next person in line angering the poor guy who was next. Another guy asked for a full sized car, he went out to pick up the car they assigned to him and it was a tiny Kia. He came back in and they made him wait an additional 20 minutes to redo his paperwork for a correct sized car.
When I finally did get my car, I was told they were 'pre inspected' so they would not give me a form to write down any scratches and dings on the car at the time of rental. Nor did anyone even offer to do a walk around with the car... they just handed me the key and told me what spot it was in. The car was covered in marks so I wrote them down on the back of my contract and had to interrupt a woman to sign the paper.
In case you think I am making any of this up or exaggerating, I have photos of the line and the clock on wall the time I got there and the time I left. No 'deal' is worth this horrible service.

Employees are rude
Pros: The car handled well and was comfortable despite its small size.
Cons: The employees were rude. The woman checking in cars on my return day was down right foul. Could not muster even the slightest shred of politeness. The shuttle driver on my return was the only one who possessed any customer service skills whatsoever.
The car also smelled like food when I picked it up, which was disgusting.
It's a good thing their rates are cheap.

Pros: Most of all the price - renting a car for 10 days at most of the other rentals was as much as $650 . Dollar was less than half the price. The car was clean, in good repair & got me where I needed to go with no worries. Thanks!

Pros: Check in was really easy and efficient.
Cons: I asked for a fast pass for tools. There was one in glove compartment that wouldn't attach to windshield so it was useless.

Car wasn't what I expected!
Pros: There was no knowlege of the class of vehiche I was renting until I got to the counter.
It cost me $25.00 more per day to get a Ford Focus!!

Pros: They stayed open late when my flight was delayed into Hartford. Much appreciated!
Pros: I had a big family group and their luggage to transport, so Initially I reserved a Ford Expedition SUV. At the counter they persuaded me to upgrade to a Lincoln Navigator, which actually was quite nice and posh. Check-in and return processes were both quick.
Cons: The vehicle wasn't as clean as it should be. The dashboard and control screen were covered with fingerprints. How hard would it be to wipe these down occasionally? Also, there was a giant bird poop stain on one of the doors. Shouldn't this have been obvious to them after running it through the car wash?

Pros: Quick check in... The car was full of features for the money... No hidden fees
Cons: The car that we received had a filthy exterior and the interior had only received a quick once over (there was still some trash inside that had been missed).

Rental office did not answer phone.
Pros: Price was as advertised.
Rental office people very pleasant.
Shuttle driver very pleasant. Made an effort to pick up our bags and get us situated when we didn't have enough hands (traveling with a young child)
Cons: Had to drop off early in the morning (4am), and could not reach the rental office to determine if they would have a shuttle available at that time. Had to rely on YELP to determine that they did in fact have a shuttle. Caused some anxiety trying to figure this out...

Handled with Care
Pros: I was traveling with my elderly mother and when we arrived to return the car we were told they would provide personal direct transportation to our air carrier and did not need to take the shuttle. This was an outstanding service

Cons: The customer service representative was the rudest individual I have ever dealt with. They did not have my car that I had reserved, and if they did, they required me to add additional insurance for $2,000. I asked if this was a joke, and it was explained to me that it is only required for convertibles? None of this was stated prior to my arrival. I will never use Budget again.

Cons: Had to wait quite awhile for pickup. Could not reach anyone on phone to find out out when shuttle would be arriving. Everything else was great.
Pros: 1.Only 1 new guy at check-in counter. He was polite and not flustered with a long line of customers waiting. Polite & helpful.
2. Same new guy offered a perk when we told him how some were cutting the line to avoid waiting. He really hadn't time to notice what was going on.
3. Girl outside helped with an upgrade when the car (supposedly in the same class we rented) did not fit.
4. Shuttle driver was helpful when we got stranded a mile from our hotel on the return.
Cons: 1. Only 1 person inside at check-in. Made for long wait time.
2. New people coming in and moving to the business line when they saw how long the line was. They did not have business accounts.
3. Car offered was NOT the same class as we rented. They weren't even the same size.
4. No window washer fluid in vehicle. We did not know this until we ran into a swarm of bugs on the highway. Manager said to ask for her the next time we were in the area and she would give us a break on our next rental. Problem is we live in TX and rented the car in CT. We thought there would be a break on the car price for the aggravation and hazard.

Pros: They were very quick to get us taken care of. The drop off went well. Loved that the shuttle was right there and ready to drop us off at the airport. Great service
Cons: I didn't like that the price I was given was not the same at the drop off. I had to tell the young lady over and over that they put a $100 deposit on my bill since I chose not to get the insurance. They also were charing me for being late. I actually called the Windsor Lock place and we agreed on 11:00 and the young man told me even 12 noon would be ok. Some how the young lady thought it was supposed to be 8:00 which would be crazy since my flight didn't leave until 2:30pm. She took care of all of it and I was satisfied. But this should not happen.

Ran out of cars BUT really nice about it
Pros: While I did have to wait despite having a reservation for a car, the woman helping us was very friendly, willing to have the shuttle take us to get some food, and overall very nice about it
Cons: Despite having a reservation, myself and 4 other guests did not have cars available and had to wait 20-30 minutes.

Beware that they can cancel on you
Cons: I purchased on their site with no trouble. On the day of the reservation I was denied at the counter because I wanted to purchase the rental with the same debit card that I used for the transaction on their site. I was left in a foreign city with no transportation and spent several hundred dollars extra in order to get to my meeting(late).

Great Company - Always Go the Extra Mile
Pros: When we couldn't get all of the baby paraphernalia - and us - into a full-size that we had rented, they worked out an upgrade to an SUV for us. And at 9:30 PM in the evening, with a crying baby, and faced with an hour drive, we can't tell you how nice that was for us.

Cons: There was an issue with my credit card and they wouldn't take my debit card.I felt abandoned in the middle of nowhere. The agent did not show any type of concerns.

Easy summer rental for a good price
Pros: We rented a Chevy Tahoe for 6 of us and it worked out great. The summer prices are a bit higher, but it was a good deal for 3 days.

Pros: Pick up and drop off were great. The staff was nice. The price was the cheapest.
Cons: The intermediate size car I reserved was a Toyota Corolla. It had a very small back seat. It had 44,000 miles on it. After driving 1 hour to my destination, the tire pressure light came on and I had to take the car to get air in the tires. Being a woman traveling alone, I don't prefer to have to do maintenance on a rental car. Enterprise has much newer, better maintained cars in my opinion. Very difficult to reach the Bradley Airport location by phone to ask questions during the rental week. I was on hold for over 15 minutes.

Cons: When we arrived at the Hertz location near Bradley Airport our name was not posted on the Gold Board. We went in the office, waited in line, were finally served, and were told that our rental had been cancelled! After recovering from this shock, we were polite and Hertz made good on the rental.

Cons: Agent was stoned. Car was worse one I've ever rented. It was uncomfortable, unpowered, lacked cruise control. My knee hurts.
Pros: Usually there is a long slow line at the desk but this time it went very quickly. Great price!
Cons: Car was a bit dinged up but it was comfortable.

Downgraded, lacked power, and huge air freshener o
Pros: Was disappointed when arrived and informed kia soul was only vehicles available despite reserving a full size vehicle. Rate was discounted to compensate - fair enough. The soul rides rough and could not hold speed on a modest grade without down shifting and running at 4500 room. Rather annoying. The car had an extremely strong air freshener smell to it. Not good for allergies. Other than the lack of power the car ran well and was economical. Base insurance in CT cost almost as much as the car rental. No more Thrifty for me.
Cons: Downgrade, lack of power, bumpy ride, odor

Reservations allowed after office hours???
Cons: Reservation was made on a red eye flight. Upon arrival I found out the office had already closed and I would have to wait until 5am, 4+ hours to get a rental car.
