Pros: I was late for my reservation so they assumed I wasn't coming and thus gave away my car. However, they got me a new car and upgraded me for the inconvenience so it wasn't too bad. Maybe next time just shoot the customer a phone call to make sure they're not coming.

Good Rental experience.
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Nice clean car.
Cons: Why do they have to type for 10 minutes to enter a rental. The system should make the process quicker.

Cons: I asked for an intermediate size vehicle, because parknig is so tight at my destination. When I arrived, I was told I could take a pick-up truck or a van, or I could wait for an hour to be taken to an alternate location.

Well located, good desk person, pick-up was botched
Pros: Good worker on the desk. Threw in a break on fuel policy to compensate for the clueless driver sent to pick me up -- basically at the hotel across the street from the rental branch!
Cons: Pickup driver got lost and delayed the delivery, so I was late getting to the reunion (for which I had traveled hundreds of miles by train!)

Pros: Counter service was super nice and apologetic the type of car I reserved was unavailable.
Cons: The car I reserved was not available. Three new Subaru's in the lot would not start so I was given a just returned Nissan Versa. The car reeked of throw up and when I stopped down the road to fill up the gas tank which was on empty - I then saw the entire drivers side of the vehicle has throw up from the drivers window all down the car - now frozen in the lovely weather. It was a long ride from Mass to New York in a puke smelling tiny car.

Friendly customer service
Pros: the staff was helpful picking me up and then bringing me back home.
Very courteous and friendly.
Cons: I was charge 2 days instead of 1. The manager in the dropoff office couldn't modifie the bill. I had to waste my time calling the customer service. They finally confirmed me that they will modifie the boll, but I still do not have a written confirmation

Wrong smelly car
Cons: The car we ordered was not there. We were given a car that was smaller and smelled very badly of smoke. Called everyday to replace it and budget never had a replacement.
Cons: The car had not been washed. It also had, some time in the past, had someone smoke in it (as became apparent once the car got warmer). Using the windshield defroster made the heat stop working. Had I not had to drive to a conference before they opened, I would have returned the car and made alternative plans (from another rental place).
Attention during pickup and dropoff was desultory. At no point did anyone ask how the car was (I would have told them if they had).
I will not rent here again.

Way overcharged thanks to Kayak reservation system...
Pros: Staff at chosen location was friendly & pleasant.
Cons: Prepaid for 2 day rental on Kayak, but ended up only needing it for one day. However, the charge wasn't adjusted whatsoever, meaning I paid literally twice as much as I should have. ($112 for ONE day?!) What's more, the employees I dealt with at pickup/drop-off had NO answers or ways to fix it. Due to this ridiculous error, I will not be using (nor recommending) Kayak again in the future.

Good price for a decent car
Pros: The car was clean and the price was very fair
Cons: We left something in the car and due to weather we could not get in touch with anybody until 36 hours later. Not necessarily Hertz fault but was nerve racking. It would have been nice if the store manager could be reached through the main number for some reassurance.
Cons: Overall experience was great. There was nothing that I disliked

Pros: When I booked the rental I immediately received an email confirmation regarding my rental complete with a phone number to call with any questions or concerns. When I went to pick up my rental there was no confusion and everything was exactly as I had booked.
