A great choice for a stay in Cheyenne, Americas Best Value Inn is just 4.4 mi (7.1 km) from the airport. Guests can get a morning swim in at the indoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day.
Pros: The rooms were updated and nice.
Standard continental breakfast. Cons: Pool was a little chilly.
Coffee was not great.
Cons: Room had a wall that was only 1/2 painted. Towels were something I'd find at a gym. Beds uncomfortable and definitely not worth what I paid.
Pros: Clean entrance, friendly staff, clean room, pool & hot tub were a huge plus especially since they were salt water. Cons: When I got to the hotel it was a really late check in so when coming off the highway the hotel was really hard to see. I would definitely suggest they put a well lit sign closer to the street.
Great Value !Pros: Staff was friendly.
Room clean, and housekeeping prompt.
Breakfast was basic, but good.
Had a small indoor pool, and spa.
Across from trains, but never heard them.
You got a great deal for the money.Cons: Cheyenne, WY is very cold in the winter. Many people start their vehicles in the morning to warm them up. There needs to be a sign that says 'Do Not Back Into Parking Spaces', as doing so pumps the exhaust fumes into room vents. My wife, and I got choked out one morning. Could create a real bad situation.
Pros: Bed was comfortable and the room was clean and bright.
Staff was very helpful when we arrived for a 11:00 pm check in and I realized I had made a mistake on my booking and realized we were a bed short.Cons: Continental breakfast left much to be desired (we actually left and went to have breakfast at Denny's after trying the "waffle" item offered).
Entrance to the hotel's parking lot was like driving through the Grand Canyon and the run-down building next door gave us some doubts as we were pulling in.
No heat in the room? In Wyoming? In January?!Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful as they could be. The coffee was excellent. Cons: My room didn't have the heat turned on. My room felt like it was refrigerated. I asked the front desk if the heat was broken and they said all the rooms were that way. This was in January in Wyoming. It was like 5 degrees outside. Even after moving rooms, to one that had been preheated, the beds were cheap and uncomfortable.
My night at the InnPros: I had a king sized, no smoking, one person only room. The bed was nice, the air conditioning was awesome, and I had a lot of pillows on that bed. It wasn't bad for one night.Cons: The poor lady at the front desk needed help desperately. I was 3 deep in the line to check in, with more people behind me. My key's didn't work initially, so they had to be reassigned to my room. Then the next day. Shower didn't work...well it worked, but I couldn't get it switched over from bath to shower. The tab thingy was stuck. So, I took a half shower half bath.
Recently remodeled?Pros: Sign outside says its recently remodeled but our observations say otherwise. Maybe the lobby and WiFi were updated, but all of the furnishings and bathroom fixtures were 1980's chic, at best. I'd include photos but I don't want to scare people away. Carpet hadn't been cleaned in months, bathroom fan was caked with dust, as was heater unit. On the bright side the beds were comfy, it was quiet despite being close to RR tracks and I-25, breakfast was decent (no eggs or meat though), and the workers were helpful. Get the family suite if you can. Its only $12 more, is much bigger and comes with two king beds.
