Hôtel & Spa Le Splendid

This is a fantastic hotel with impressive lobby and corridors and large and comfortable rooms.

At arrival not immediately obvious where to park.

Great spa. Excellent location for town centre.

Don't order an Irish coffee or hot chocolate, they don't know how to make them!!!!!

1) The price was really convenient. I paid less then 300 euros for three nights stay, breakfast and use of the Spa included. 2) The Spa was excellent, and the staff really kind and friendly. We really enjoyed it. 3) The bathroom of the room was really nice and comfortable as well.

1) The conditioned air of my room was making a strange noise, more than the classic buzz of the machine. It was more something like a dropping of water. Not great during the night. 2) We were here in couple, and our bed was not a classic double, but a double made with two singles mattresses joined together. Nothing of bad, but the stuff that they used to keep them united (I don't know, a stripe or an adhesive tape, a hook) was really hurting. During the night was absolutely not comfortable. 3) The housekeeping staff never changed our bathrooms towels. We stayed three days, we are not peaky and we could survive with the same towels for three days. But using the Spa we needed three showers per day, so at the end the towel were totally wet. They left us just with a small bottle of shampoo as well, and when I asked for a small bottle water (outside was 35 C°) the housekeeper told me that she could not give it to me, because it was allowed just for the welcoming. I work in the hospitality industry as well, I found that weird. 4) There was not parking. So, as suggested by the receptionist, we left the car in a private parking just by the hotel. It costed us almost 50 euros. I expected at least a small discount as guests of the hotel. 5) As a suggestion, I would improve a bit the breakfast. I found it chaotic, not well organised, confused.
