Cons: Everything else - courteous, but very unhelpful staff in resolving issues and making guests feel comfortable. Slow service - room not available on time - view from the room was looking at steampipes. One of my most disappointing hotel stays compared to expectations (and I visit London 6-10x annually).
Room was old (it was clean) and not up to date for a luxury hotel.

Pros: The location is great. Right around the corner from the V&A and the Natural History Museum. Across the street from the Tube, and surrounded by great restaurants. This was the perfect home base for a weekend in London. The decor was charming and whimsical, sort of Alice in Wonderland with lots of bright colors and a bird theme which ran through the hotel. Our room was small as most London Hotels are, and finding a place to stow the luggage was a bit of a hat trick, but once we figured it out, everything was great. Although we never had breakfast at the hotel, we did have morning coffee and tea in the tea room every day. Delightful. Would return in an instant!

Pros: The hotel is truly lovely. I think we had the smallest room there which I booked unknowingly. But it worked just fine. The bed was so comfy. There were slippers and robes and the bathroom floor was heated. The daily tea was also very nice. I can't write enough to explain how exceptional the hotel, staff and location were. You will have to try it for yourself. Overall I plan to go back to London and stay here again.

It was gorgeous inside, extremely well located near the South Kensington tube and nearby pubs and restaurants in Chelsea, the staff was simply wonderful and the rooms were pretty and very comfortable. Also loved the front room where you can grab a bite to eat and a glass of wine, and the breakfast room downstairs. The free water, juices and soft drinks provided in the bar fridge were a nice touch.

Cons: The gym was very well appointed in terms of weights, towels and free water but the space was too small in my view, it needed to be at least double the size as only 2-3 people would comfortably fit. Equally, the smaller hotel rooms (where my sisters stayed) have limited space if you are staying for more than 2 nights, but the hotel reception kindly advised us of this beforehand.

Pros: The location is excellent and it is in a very quiet street in London. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linen and pillows.
Cons: No electric jug or milk to make a cup of tea in your room. Having flown 36 hours I was very frustrated to be denied a jug of hot water by reception and told to use the coffee machine which proved to be faulty. Upon my return to reception I was finally given a jug of hot water to take back to my room. Several of the lights were not working in the room. The hotel is tucked away from the main traffic noise but the floor boards are extremely squeaky so if your neighbours are up and about you will know about it. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, very poorly designed and as you are stepping out of a bath it can be very slippery, would not be suitable for less agile guests.

Cons: On the moment we checked in, I raised the ac is quite warm and the staff said the ac works just be patient. So I went out for and got back to the room at late night, AC didn't work. It was even worse. We cant breath in the hotel room. Hence, we asked the staff to change the room and the staff at reception said every rooms in this hotel was fully booked. I should have raise this up since the beginning (which I did). The staff said the AC doesn't work the whole floor. They've been trying to fix it but since it's late at that moment so they will fix it on the next day. However, for some reason they managed to get us moved to the new room. But they actually downgraded our room, the room is smaller, Restroom is half size when compared to the room we got at the beginning. They insisted it's not downgrade and they charged us the same amount of money.

But still a lovely breakfast just didn’t feel very welcome

Cons: The WiFi was basically not working at all unless you were in the lobby. The pool had no shallow end so not good for children or short people. The shower in the ladies locker room was broken. The pillows were not comfortable at all. The mattresses are firm which wasn’t good or bad. I wasn’t keen on the mojito my bartender made me either. I would absolutely stay here again but these were the things I didn’t like. I wouldn’t recommend eating at the hotel but the kids menu is good for kids (I have a 20 month old)

There is a special person that instructs each guest on which breakfast they are entitled to have and that the hot breakfast is extra. Not very classy... I have a feeling they spend more money doing that and creating a negative vibe, as opposed to letting everyone have some scrambled eggs (how much can they cost?) and a good impression of the hotel.

What I dislike is that the guests can remove all the silence in the whole coming in and out the hotel - as they may think this underground room cannot be with guest but a laundry or equipment room. -hope it is just because I picked the worst room 011. Nothing good except the bed- which must be available in all the rooms. And, we ordered the breakfast + dinner package for the two days while got a surprise day by day the canteen were reserved by some group from 18:00-21:00, and I was forced to take two late dinners around 21:30, without earlier warning. Too bad a service. It is a problem of management. It is my first score giving under 8, sadly.

Pros: I really liked the night staff member - Lionel. I came in the middle of the night completely exhausted and his smile, his very warm approach has made me feel welcomed and safe. Honestly, I was a bit scared to stay in a hostel, especially because female dorm was not available at the time of the booking and the room is smaller than it is comfortable. He was polite, fun to talk to and helpful. I had genuine feeling he is a nice person to hang around. I was glad the locker inside of the room was big enough to store a small luggage and that in the bunk bed space you could find a plug, where to charge a phone. The long mirror in the room was also something I liked.

Cons: The rooms are uncomfortably small with too many bunk beds. When I wanted to open my tiny luggage, someone would open the door and hit me or someone would come out of bathroom and had to go through me. It was terrible to go toilet inside of the room as you could hear everything from the bathroom cubicle. Also I felt the bed curtains are not being changed after the guests left. There was no space to hang a towel, which is pretty annoying. The room ventilation was awful, there is a fan, which is noisy and terribly small window that opens at the bottom, not at the top - which I do not think is terribly safe or helping to ventilate.

Cons: I got a room on the lower floors, the room smelled stale, was a long walk away from the elevator and when I went to request a change I got attitude from the front desk staff Ana-Maria. I literally wanted to cancel and leave unfortunately as I had booked through booking.com I was told I needed to take that up with them. I asked for a room on a higher floor and was told she would only change my room if I either went back up and got my luggage or waited 30-40 mins for a concierge to help me. I was so upset. I went back up, gor my luggage and came back down. PS why dont they keep extra bottles of water in the room for your use?

Cons: The rooms were like death apartment in china crammed tiny with 4 people shoved in a closet the beds were kid size and im only 5'8, an to talk about the heat and mug build up in the rooms if you stay never turn off the fan. we left days early just to get away from the place, the bathrooms stink of mold in the floor and around the sinks , the shower room is almost as big as the room just with lament flooring as the bathroom floor not properly vented and stinks of mold, we were informed to put our bags in out beds with the cuts shut so they can come in and vacuum the floor and our stuff would be say (oyes to use the storage drawer under the bed its cost 4 extra to use it) when we came back the room stunk of my friends perfume she had just bought the other day and out bags look like they had be moved or tossed around my hard carrier on was push on top of my bookback which i lef the book bag on top bc of my laptop that was inside. after the 2nd night of staying there me and my friend agreed this place in my 11 years of seeing the world was the worst place i have ever stayed there is like 1 bathroom on each floor to be shared with 20 people it seems, i would have to hold it in to use the bathroom at 4 knowing everyone was asleep because it not you will have 2-5 people try to open the door while your in the middle of your business, there is no outside sign or even a slide panel to state that someone is in there on topping it off its a no refund if you leave early or don't stay which i was willing to leave early after the first few nights of staying there i wouldent want the money back anyway it would probley end up smelling like the bathrooms like mold, it didnt help ether i'm sure at most of the bathrooms are straight piped because you can smell straight sewer when it rains, for a place in Hyde Park as well keeped and clean area this place as well below that stander-ed.

Cons: We booked a 4 bed mixed dorm, which meant we were on the fourth floor, with no lift which means you will need to carry your bags and travel up and down to the very top of the building in order to get to your room. With this room we had a private bathroom, however this meant practically showering on the toilet, the shower curtain did NOTHING and meant the whole bathroom got flooded whenever anyone had a shower, including a wet toilet. During our stay a bunch of teenagers who sit on the next door neighbours steps and who smoke weed and play their music all night long whilst approaching people staying at the hostel asking if they want to buy drugs. We had spoken to someone who had stayed at the hostel months before and he said that they were also there on his previous stay, so something that always happens. The hostel staff don’t seem to do anything about them and they are allowed to come in and out of the common foyer as they please. There are lockers under the beds however they will charge you per day to be able to use it.

Cons: I have been to many countries especially in Asia and I have always stay on dormitories but I was shocked when I stayed here. Usually, when I arrived at a hostel, the bed is already ready, there is a pillow and mattress, everything..but this hostel is not ready at all. They will just give you the mattress and pillow cover, you will do it yourself. Its not a big deal for me but I am just comparing it to other hostels where I stayed. and you will have to look for an empty bed yourself. Almost zero on Customer Service. I knew from the pictures that its triple decker bed but I was shocked because of the space, Its like they tell you to just lie down most of the time. and what shocked me the most is that they have lots of staff cleaning the hostel but they don't include the rooms. They don't vacuum or have air spray to get rid of the smell from the shoes of other guests. Most of the reception also don't know customer service. They just sat there. In other hostels, After someone checks in, they will guide the guest to the room and inform where his or her bed is. The reception's job is just to sit, check their computer, give keys, give mattress. I hope they learn from Korean Guesthouses on how they do Guesthouse business. Being a low budget dormitory is not an excuse to not being able to give good customer service.

Pros: Short walk from Underground station.
Cons: The place is crying for renovation works. Carpet on densely populated areas which means it's never really clean. Very uncomfortable mattress. Pictures here don't seem to belong there. Definitely not the room I stayed in.

Cons: The pictures do not show the real quality of the room. Walls were pealing and dirty, floors were not clean, the bathroom facilities were cramped and gross, beds were horribly quality with springs poking you, and the staff was not service oriented or very friendly. Very disappointed in this location. After talking with some people in London we came to find out that our experience is not normal with hostels, most of the time they are better kept. This was pretty bad. Don’t trust the pictures you see in their ads, they aren’t what you will get.

Cons: Rooms and facilities were suffering from either age, or poor design. Sometimes both. Had to spend a lot of time at cafes, because the room did not have an electrical socket for me to charge my phone. Only ventillation in the room was from an open window, exposing you to all kinds of traffic noise throughout the night.

Cons: The hostel definitely needs new staff at the reception. They treat customers like a dirt. Never cleaned the rooms. Only changed the bins . Filthy and disgusting! !

Cons: The room was tiny - especially the bathroom The shower had good pressure but no adjustable height so felt as if I was drowning at times The wifi had to be paid for There was a light switch coming off the wall The room was freezing The room was in need of a real makeover - the carpet was so worn that it was turning from red to brown

Cons: Pay for WiFi when it said it was included. Dirty. Awful mattress. Shower overflowed in 3 minutes. Shower cord was kinked waterflow sucked So cold you needed the space heater on all night. Only 2 of the 6 outlets worked. Loud. Thin walls. Toilet far away.
