Pros: Absolutely stunning hotel and was provided with an amazing experience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was spotlessly clean. Lovely touches given to my parents Golden wedding anniversary. They received a yellow rose, card and cake. Beautifully clean and spacious rooms. The hotel upgraded us on arrival.
Cons: On comparison to another hotel near by that i normally stay that costs £300 less per night to stay there. Few little things that were missing in the room that should've been topped up especially the expectation of a 5 star hotel. Breakfast tea bags were missing. The room i stayed in i was struggling to find the plugs they were located awkwardly behind the desk. Had to get on my hands and knees to plug the kettle and charger in. A dirty tray was left outside my door on a side board from another room and was there overnight to mid morning.

Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Pros: Very professional hotel - a very business feel. Staff great, all good.
Cons: I don't know why English hotels do stays without breakfast ! Look at how the Irish hotels do it. Adding breakfast at 30 pounds is a real turn off ! No buffet breakfast in the world could cost that to supply? Maybe look at this to be a little different.

Cons: Room was like a dungeon. Very disappointing.
6.3 Good
Pros: All the staff were great, very friendly and wanting to help.
Cons: I didn't like the room, we were given a disabled room with disabled fixtures and fittings in the bathroom, I didn't request this and wasn't informed about it, the first I new was when we got to the room. Paintwork flaking off of woodwork, split silicone sealant around sink area. Your average premier Inn room was better than this...….and much cheaper. Frosted secondary double glazing on the windows, absolutely no view at all, pull aside the secondary glazing to reveal the middle of the building, pipes, ductwork and filth everywhere (explains the frosted glass).
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing good to say. Extremely disappointing
Cons: I was downgraded from a deluxe room to a standard room (essentially.a closet)and my compensation was a 14 £ cocktail. The following day the y transferred me to a deluxe room and despite two request to make sure there were no feathers in the room...

Pros: Lovely comfortable bed and complimentary mini bar.
Cons: Long check-in process. And paying an advance of £50 per day for possible charges? which can take up to 7 days to be returned to me.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: Firstly I don’t like the service of the bell boy at the front gate. I have been to a lot of hotels including five stars but never have seen the attitude like the bell boys from that hotel. All are standing even though seeing the customer is taking luggages. Secondly I don’t like the attitude of front desks stuff. Already requested for an early check in as I have a meeting and I arrived the hotel at 2:30. It was half an hour before of that hotel policy to check in time. They won’t let me in until 3:03pm and said the room is not ready yet. Seeing the customer is waiting and sitting there for half an hour, they have no effort like asking the housekeeper whether the room is ready or no welcome drink at all. Thirdly, I don’t like the room. I booked a river view but the view of the window is so small and can’t even say it is a view. I am feeling my money for that view is not worth it. The room is so small and the hotel is very old. Fourth, the elevator is very old model 1000kgs type and very narrow. It was stopping once in every floor. Very disappointed to take that elevator. Fifthly, I stayed in that hotel at the raining day. The hotel is so old and so bad and even water drops are pouring drop by drop from the ceiling. I saw a bucket and it was collecting the rain drops in front of the elevator entrance of eighth floor. I was so shocked seeing the rain dropping from the ceiling. When I check about the hotel, it says “the Royal Horseguards” is a Five Star Hotel. I don’t know in what part it is being rated five stars. I will rate it not even a three star hotel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice interior
Cons: The room was small, the shower pressure was very weak the view was not brilliant

Pros: The front fest was very gracious and accommodating. Housekeeping was extremely responsive to requests. Concierge was helpful. The bar was friendly and had a nice light menu. The restaurant was excellent for dinner. It was very easy to get a table and service was excellent.
Cons: Took a bit of time to get attention of the waitstaff in the tea lounge for a seat just for a pot of afternoon tea. The breakfast buffet hardly changed over the week we were there so we started going out to breakfast after three days.

Pros: I took my partner for his birthday. it was lovely but i wanted the river view room and i rang before we got there to be told it was a river view room. When we arrived that wasn't the case. other than that it was lovely and the breakfast was delicious.

The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.

Pros: Liked the new renovated building, the room, cleanliness and the middle garden.
Cons: The first receptionist I dealt with gave me the wrong room despite I offered to give her the booking reference number. But when I went to the other receptionist she supported me with a nice room. The other thing is that the housekeeping didn’t clean my room in the second day although I pressed the clean request button early morning . Thank you and best regards,

Pros: Nice hotel lovely rooms very helpful staff
Cons: The prices I the bar were well over the top . There was nothing near by
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Upon check in we were greeted and checked-in by hotel employee, so welcoming. All staff were friendly. The rooms were snug but the beds were foam topped and comfortable. The breakfast was hot, plentiful with a good variety.
Cons: It was a tad bit off the beaten path. Since it is next to the Police Station and near St. Thomas Hospital we heard a lot of sirens. Also it is a 10 minute walk from any store and there are no vending machine or snack shop on site.

Pros: Excellent location & parking
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: It was really hot an temp control did not work and fan was noisy. Was supposed to be a sofa bed but there wasn’t one. Lucky the other party lived in London. Was taking a shower at 9.00 on Sunday morning and the cleaner knocked. Will be going back to Premier Inn.
Cons: Bed not comfy
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location close to sites
Cons: Rooms facing the road are on a Hospital/Ambulance route, pretty steady stream 24 hours of sirens and ambulances in and out of the hospital, request an odd number room

Pros: My daughter loved the expresso machine and was great having fridge and the shower and room was fab very comfy
Cons:

Pros: The staff was always helping with great communication and helpful tips. The room was very corruptible and clean.
Cons: English breakfast', same each morning and without to many choices No salads' no white cheese

Pros: The hotel is two min away from the thames. It is too close to london eye and other attractions The room was clean
Cons: In general I was perfect

Pros: Very clean and the room seemed new
Cons: No.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really welcoming atmosphere. Nice room.
Cons: No instructions on how to make Glass Wall frosted
5.0 Okay
Pros: The rooms are a decent size for London standard, however the problems far outweigh the benefit of the size.
Cons: Okay, the hotel has no concierge service! Then the rooms are a good size, but lack natural light and even the 2 tiny bulbs aren’t enough if you are trying to work in the room. The room I stayed in superior.. second floor had water clogging both in the sink and the shower!! Didn’t expect this at all from a chain. Also, the staff I called to book my room was sweet and pleasant but the staff checking me in had a condescending tone. But hey, again the staff that checked me out later was very sweet. So probably just my bad luck. Anyways, for the price much better rooms available, also cheaper hotels in lambeth would be better than this! I chose this over the near by hotels thinking it would be better as a chain etc. but no.

The Pelham is an elegant boutique hotel in the heart of South Kensington. It is located a short walk from the Natural History Museum and Kensington Gardens, which seem to have inspired the brightly colored interiors. Here one is surrounded by a romantic mix of elegant patterns and rich tones. It has long been considered among the most sophisticated places in London. Settle in and revel in the character of the wood-panelled drawing room and library. Make time for a little indulgence with an afternoon tea or a dinner at The Trattoria by Michelin starred chef Alfredo Russo. Step out and explore the boutiques and worldclass museums of Kensington.

Pros: Perfect location immediately across the street from the South Kensington Tube stop. Has a large elevator which a lot of these townhome-style hotels do not have. There are a couple of stairs from elevator to room, but far better this than lugging luggage up flights of stairs. We dropped our luggage in the morning and returned in the evening and they had already moved bags up into our room for us.

Pros: Our room was perfectly set up for the traveller with a perfect set up for your clothes and plenty of room.
Cons: The entrance has 3 steps,a long step and then 2 more steps which makes it impossible for the handicap to access. So sad for such a perfect hotel. This seems to be true for a lot of London hotels.

Pros: Great location, clean and pretty hotel with friendly staff. Room was remarkably quiet considering location. We were in and out quickly so we didn't get to spend much time there.
Cons: There's only one thing that could have been better and that was the size of the room. We'd booked a superior room but it was quite small with stairs inside the room and some things (tea pot, hair dryer) to be plugged into the closet with too narrow a space for two of us to pass each other from bedroom to bathroom. Otherwise, it was perfect and I'd book again but in a different room type.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Directly opposite the underground and the Pret a Manger just down the road.
Cons: A bit pricey for the small room and facilities.
7.4 Good
Pros: The location is excellent. Across the street from the be station and so many great shops, restaurants and pubs nearby. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The bed was really comfortable.
Cons: The WiFi was terrible. It connected, but was too slow to make worthwhile. Also, the tv channels didn’t include any sports! Not that I wanted to waste my vacation watching sports on tv in a hotel, but it would’ve been nice to keep up on scores and such. Also the old building was very creaky. I was awaken by the neighbors above two nights.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is really good friendly helpful staff clean rooms and the location is the best right opposite the south Kensington tube station

Pros: The location is excellent and it is in a very quiet street in London. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linen and pillows.
Cons: No electric jug or milk to make a cup of tea in your room. Having flown 36 hours I was very frustrated to be denied a jug of hot water by reception and told to use the coffee machine which proved to be faulty. Upon my return to reception I was finally given a jug of hot water to take back to my room. Several of the lights were not working in the room. The hotel is tucked away from the main traffic noise but the floor boards are extremely squeaky so if your neighbours are up and about you will know about it. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, very poorly designed and as you are stepping out of a bath it can be very slippery, would not be suitable for less agile guests.

Pros: The hotel is situated right in the heart of central London. The bellman was well train, polite and can remembee every small detail of the guest. The room decoration is pretty nice.
Cons: On the moment we checked in, I raised the ac is quite warm and the staff said the ac works just be patient. So I went out for and got back to the room at late night, AC didn't work. It was even worse. We cant breath in the hotel room. Hence, we asked the staff to change the room and the staff at reception said every rooms in this hotel was fully booked. I should have raise this up since the beginning (which I did). The staff said the AC doesn't work the whole floor. They've been trying to fix it but since it's late at that moment so they will fix it on the next day. However, for some reason they managed to get us moved to the new room. But they actually downgraded our room, the room is smaller, Restroom is half size when compared to the room we got at the beginning. They insisted it's not downgrade and they charged us the same amount of money.

Pros: location / rooms
Cons: aircon not working and it was a heatwave. moved to a smaller air conditioned room on second day -- no discount given for lesser room and US aircon! had to ask for portable fans / so called portable aircon unit provided (which was in fact a evaporative cooler -- hopeless.

Cons: Air con was not working very well the room was too hot Check in 3oclock too late we wanted to go in the room before our show at 2.30 I had emailed ahead to see if we could check in early and when we got there wasn’t ready was told we would get a text and hopefully be before 2.30 no text came went back to the desk and was told it was ready now we had a ticket for our cases and asked if they could be bought up straight away as we wanted to freshen up before show it was now 2 o’clock went up to the room but had to leave before cases got there

Pros:
Cons: The wait time for everything was exceedingly slow. A food order could take over 90 min for delivery.
The rooms were not sound proof you could here every person who walked by and what they were saying.
The staff were not trained for a hotel of that price.
The breakfast selection was mediocre and the same everyday for the 9 days I was there. The hotels decor is old and outdated. It was difficult to even have a bottle of water delivered.
The food was less and average.

Pros: Appreciated coffee machine in lobby. Also greatly appreciated the later check out especially since it was at no extra cost. The apart hotel makes for a more relaxed stay than a normal hotel. Front desk staff were very efficient and most helpful - well done!
Cons: Having requested a walk in shower it took a while on arrival to find the premises has none. Likewise it took a while to find out that the Hotel has no feather pillows - this was important as some pillows felt like feathers. Hand rails at the entrance steps were sadly lacking. I'm not sure that preserving the character of the original building is a good enough excuse for this. Disability access is important these days.
6.3 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: Pillows too hard, no full body mirror, noisy at night
7.1 Good
Pros: Location is amazing close to Trafalgar Square and the Tube lines (Charing Cross and Embankment Station). The staff were really good even though I got some negative vibes from one after I made complaint around air conditioning breaking down and how it was handled.
Cons: I had room 112 (17-21 Sept) which had tired decor and non functioning air conditioning. Air con had broken down which they had to then switch off for the whole building (which happened after a recent repair) and would be non functioning for another 2 weeks (according to them). Staff provided a fan AND portable air con unit which made the room just survivable. It’s an old building which needs work. My impression is that the hotel group is milking profit from the location and using it for staff training. The staff I encountered were doing their best with great attitudes but clearly no real accountability or ownership with front desk managers coming and going on a daily basis. Almost felt a sense that they knew the building is working against them and having to deal with grumpy customers for a day to develop better service skills.

Pros: Great location! Everything is available in a walking distance(restaurants, tourist attractions, shops and etc.)

6.7 Good
Pros: Great location (just off Trafalgar Sq. and 2 mins walk from the tube station); room is big by London's standard and the price; reasonable facilities
Cons: The room smelled a bit when I first moved in, especially the kitchenette, either it got better later or I got used to it. Linens were not changed during my stay (3 nights), but you sort of expect that with a serviced apartment. I would be better if we were told how often they change though.
6.3 Good
Pros: We liked the location as we were visiting art galleries and also had a trip to the theatre. It is in a very convenient spot.
Cons: We found the room cold in the evening and could have done with another blanket or two, as the weather was very cold. The thermostat didn't appear to work. We woke up cold in the night.

Cons: Staff were a little rude and initially was making me wait to check into a room at 3 PM and I arrived at 2:30. Once I told them I was a Hilton honors member they all of a sudden said the room was available. My checkin experience could have been better.

Pros: The location is excellent (just behind the Tate Museum & the MI-5 HQ, as well as only a couple of minutes away from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey). Cons: The rooms are a bit outdated and could do with a fresh coat of paint and some new carpeting at the very least. The design is also very simple and minimal, which gives an overall "basic" feeling. Some refurbishment would go a long way in improving the comfort of guests and would justify some of the heftier rates charged by the hotel (probably off the back of the hotel's premium location rather than room comfort and facilities).

6.3 Good
Pros: The location - Victoria station is a stone's throw away and there are some good shops, pubs and restaurants nearby The staff were brilliant and very helpful The breakfast was ideal for us (cereal, toast and tea, coffee and Apple juice) though fruit would have been appreciated
Cons: The room was tiny - especially the bathroom The shower had good pressure but no adjustable height so felt as if I was drowning at times The wifi had to be paid for There was a light switch coming off the wall The room was freezing The room was in need of a real makeover - the carpet was so worn that it was turning from red to brown
3.8 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Very dirty, small room, old windows, the blanket was full with other people hairs
3.3 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: Filthy room and en-suite The room was up three dodgy staircases Room key didn’t work properly staff were poor
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location great. Reception staff or owner friendly. Towels every day .
Cons: Small twin bedroom. Only white toast no brown. Had to ask for tea coffee sugar every day. No happy about the nail in the floor outside the shower. Which I constantly stood on. Tv too far away to watch properly. This was only our room not sure about other rooms.
4.2 Okay
Pros: It’s location
Cons: Looked like something out of the 1970s towels and bedding had holes in decor was disgusting shower cubicle was falling apart didn’t want to spend any more time than absolutely necessary on the hotel. Didn’t partake in free breakfast as didn’t feel clean enough to eat in
1.0 Poor
Pros: It did not seem to give us any bed bugs and it was close to Victoria station.
Cons: Pay for WiFi when it said it was included. Dirty. Awful mattress. Shower overflowed in 3 minutes. Shower cord was kinked waterflow sucked So cold you needed the space heater on all night. Only 2 of the 6 outlets worked. Loud. Thin walls. Toilet far away.
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: It was a slum. I wondered how it had a license
7.1 Good
Pros: The area
Cons: The bathroom breakfast and that you had to pay for the Internet
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: There were no crossaints not even brown bread or soya milk.it doesn't cater for everyone. Not even fruit or a variety of juices.
Cons: As above. Room was dusty and run down. Bedding cover smelled and carpet also smelled.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: The room was filthy for which there is no excuse. Included breakfast was laughably disgusting. The lady for want of a better term of the word who seems to be an owner is very very rude and abused me for using the wrong disgusting coffee pot that was an old rusty perculator from the 1980’s
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: There was, nt anything dirty nothing worked took the amount out of my bank three times . It was worth £20 .00 really want to take this further want a full refund
Cons: I did , nt like anything my grandfather who is 7 yrs old said nanny I don't want to stay here
4.2 Okay
Pros: Hotel staff person was helpful. Thanks!
Cons: The room needs paint! The mattress was very poor. The bathroom needs to be improved. The toilet seat was broken. This was a POOR room. We can not recommend this hotel.
