Pros: Spectacular in every way

Cons: Not being able to stay longer

Pros: Absolutely stunning hotel and was provided with an amazing experience. Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was spotlessly clean. Lovely touches given to my parents Golden wedding anniversary. They received a yellow rose, card and cake. Beautifully clean and spacious rooms. The hotel upgraded us on arrival.

Cons: On comparison to another hotel near by that i normally stay that costs £300 less per night to stay there. Few little things that were missing in the room that should've been topped up especially the expectation of a 5 star hotel. Breakfast tea bags were missing. The room i stayed in i was struggling to find the plugs they were located awkwardly behind the desk. Had to get on my hands and knees to plug the kettle and charger in. A dirty tray was left outside my door on a side board from another room and was there overnight to mid morning.

Pros: Savoy grill was excellent

Cons: Bigger choice of fruity cocktails would be nice

Pros: I booked the stay for my wife’s birthday. She was very surprised as we arrived at the front of the hotel. You are made to feel special from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave. A totally fantastic hotel with staff to match. Hope to return soon.

Pros: despite being over motor court, room was very quiet, everything was well designed, staff was extremely helpful, bathroom was tremendous, restaurant was great. Very little (if anything) to actually complain about. Top-notch.

Cons: gym facilities were modest as was pool, but not a terribly big deal as most hotel gyms have a limited offer.

Pros: The savoy had the magic we were expecting it is truly a wonderful place and the service was beyond expectations. We were so well cared for, all the staff are incredible and make it their passion to make your stay a most memorable experience. This hotel is the best we have ever stayed in with such attention to detail, it is in a class of its own.

Pros: Staff extra friendly especially lady that checked me in.

Pros: Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you, all were very knowledgable about the hotels history. Cocktails in the American Bar was a lovely experience, it was the perfect end to the evening.

Pros: Incredibly welcoming, friendly & helpful. Has an intimate feeling about the common areas so you feel very comfortable & relaxed. Lots of beautiful touches like the staff remember what you like, bottled water on your night stand, aromatherapy sleeping mist given as a gift, surprising my nephew with chocolate coated strawberries as a birthday gift saying happy birthday. All these little things add up to being an incredible experience!

Pros: The room design was very nice. Its not our first time staying at this group of hotels, the design is always impressive. The staff was very nice and helpful, both at the lobby and room service.

Cons: The room was soooo tiny. It was honestly the smallest room I've ever stayed. There was not enough space to put my suitcase on the floor and open it in order to unpack it. That is how tiny it was.

Cons: No noise cushions for the people walking above my room making it difficult to fall asleep at night.

Pros: Breakfast was really good! Lots of choices and all of them very tasty, starting with the fruit. My husband had his best Eggs Benedict ever and I loved all the tea varieties and the sourdough toast with marmalade.

Cons: There is not much space in the room for tables. A few of them are almost too small to accommodate 2 people and food.

Pros: We had a lovely, romantic and restful stay. Our room was comfortable, large, light, airy, some quirky decorations, but soothing colours and some elegance. Room service was good and very responsive. Fluffy robes, separate bath and shower, Nespresso machine. Quiet! So near Hyde Park. Hotel decor is unique. Fun.

Cons: Very minor issues such as a lack of a mirror over the desk. This is a very good hotel.

Cons: I didn't like the room, we were given a disabled room with disabled fixtures and fittings in the bathroom, I didn't request this and wasn't informed about it, the first I new was when we got to the room. Paintwork flaking off of woodwork, split silicone sealant around sink area. Your average premier Inn room was better than this...….and much cheaper. Frosted secondary double glazing on the windows, absolutely no view at all, pull aside the secondary glazing to reveal the middle of the building, pipes, ductwork and filth everywhere (explains the frosted glass).

Cons: I was downgraded from a deluxe room to a standard room (essentially.a closet)and my compensation was a 14 £ cocktail. The following day the y transferred me to a deluxe room and despite two request to make sure there were no feathers in the room...

Pros: The location was in walking distance of many local sites, like Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Horseguards, London Eye, and Parliament. The staff were helpful and friendly, hotel was well kept. Had excellent food from their restaurant, 1212.

Cons: Firstly I don’t like the service of the bell boy at the front gate. I have been to a lot of hotels including five stars but never have seen the attitude like the bell boys from that hotel. All are standing even though seeing the customer is taking luggages. Secondly I don’t like the attitude of front desks stuff. Already requested for an early check in as I have a meeting and I arrived the hotel at 2:30. It was half an hour before of that hotel policy to check in time. They won’t let me in until 3:03pm and said the room is not ready yet. Seeing the customer is waiting and sitting there for half an hour, they have no effort like asking the housekeeper whether the room is ready or no welcome drink at all. Thirdly, I don’t like the room. I booked a river view but the view of the window is so small and can’t even say it is a view. I am feeling my money for that view is not worth it. The room is so small and the hotel is very old. Fourth, the elevator is very old model 1000kgs type and very narrow. It was stopping once in every floor. Very disappointed to take that elevator. Fifthly, I stayed in that hotel at the raining day. The hotel is so old and so bad and even water drops are pouring drop by drop from the ceiling. I saw a bucket and it was collecting the rain drops in front of the elevator entrance of eighth floor. I was so shocked seeing the rain dropping from the ceiling. When I check about the hotel, it says “the Royal Horseguards” is a Five Star Hotel. I don’t know in what part it is being rated five stars. I will rate it not even a three star hotel.

Pros: The front fest was very gracious and accommodating. Housekeeping was extremely responsive to requests. Concierge was helpful. The bar was friendly and had a nice light menu. The restaurant was excellent for dinner. It was very easy to get a table and service was excellent.

Cons: Took a bit of time to get attention of the waitstaff in the tea lounge for a seat just for a pot of afternoon tea. The breakfast buffet hardly changed over the week we were there so we started going out to breakfast after three days.

Pros: I took my partner for his birthday. it was lovely but i wanted the river view room and i rang before we got there to be told it was a river view room. When we arrived that wasn't the case. other than that it was lovely and the breakfast was delicious.

Pros: Stayed in a king suite . View from the room was fantastic and the absolutely stunning at night. The room was spacious and comfortable with very nicely appointed furniture and bed. The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.

Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.

Cons: Breakfast was extremely poor quality. Queuing at the lifts. Food being left in room to rot - removed on 3rd day! Room cleanliness.....dirty windows, carpets etc. Expensive restaurant food. Service charge at bar even though I went to bar and returned to pay.

Pros: The breakfast spread was good with different selection of mains daily. Room was comfy and clean. Hotel's policy on reducing water wastage and environmental sustainability is a plus.

Cons: No egg's section and the same costs extra. Getting taxi can be a hassle especially during rush hour. Lounge always full.

Cons: Staff very unhelpful and the spa area was unclean and very noisy. Not clear information regarding the spa usage, staff unaware of hotel information and were unresponsive to any feedback.

The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I'd booked a twin room with a friend and had a great nights sleep in the wider than average single bed. Good choices for breakfast. Great location, less than 4 mins walk from Waterloo tube station, London Eye and other attractions. Would definitely stay again
