Best Western Beausejour

Very close to TGV train station in Lourdes. Beautiful exterior facade in historic old building. Well maintained and very clean.

Small, poorly decorated rooms with uncomfortable beds. Long walk to Lourdes Grotto and not close to any decent restaurants.

Only the fact that it's close to the train station.We have booked a triple w/ 1 extra bed as stated per hotel policies & wrote this in the remarks section & asked for confirmation (2 adults & 2 kids), but nor Booking.com nor the hotel manager have read the comment or took it into consideration, so upon arrival & after a long journey from Paris, the assistant manager told us that they can't put extra bed in a triple room so we have to manage or they give us a bigger room for extra money which we didn't accept because the rooms do not match w/ the price (overpriced, extremely small versus other hotels in the area)+ it was not a decent solution at all,they should have replied to our comment for the bed before arrival so we decide on our budget

& Not having a surprise.After long argument & keeping the kids tired waiting for more than 1 hour, we asked to talk to manager, she (assistant) told us he's not there.After insisting,he showed up & again argued & end up by suggesting a smoking room which was full of cigarette smoke & you can hardly breathe (very healthy for kids)Of course we didn't accept. We asked to go to other hotel but said they will take anyway the price for the room even if we don't stay.They had empty family rooms not stated in the site which we saw but wanted us to pay more money than confirmed upon booking.FINALLY, They gave us a room w/ 5 beds which we didn't need,on the roof, that was worth a 1 * HOTEL:shower on your knee so u don't hit your head w/ the ceiling,
