They really need a new cleaning company or cleaning staff. Specially behind the bed and the cases. For the brand of the Hotel and the stars it’s a big shame.

We had an upgrade on our room once we got there! The conditions were great, specially considering our expectations. Very large room, living quarters and bathroom! The place was super clean and the staff very nice. But the upgrade on the room was AMAZING.
We had breakfast included and due to covid it was to go - which is expected -however instead of letting the clients choose what they wanted for breakfast and prepare upfront a box to take, they had a pre-arraned box with very general stuff to eat. Not the experience i was hoping for. Yet, it was still very balanced and if you are not picky you might enjoy it.

The pillows disappear when you touch you head on them, very uncomfortable. The breakfast was a joke. When I booked this hotel I called to ask if I could get a place for the swimming pool and I’ve got confirmation by phone and email. When I arrived it was full. The sink in the bathroom was dirty, the side tables were dirty.

My best hotel experience
Upon arrival Me and my partner were offered a free upgrade to one of the biggest suites in the hotel. Reception were extremely friendly and breakfast staff went above and beyond to accommodate during difficult times (covid). In all honestly I will remember this as my best hotel experience!!

The property offers large bedrooms with a nice view and does provide guests with overall comfortable accommodation.
I can’t help but I have the impression that the current COVID19-Crisis is a good excuse to allow for poor guest service. After having asked Room Service for glasses (there were none), I called back 40 minutes later as they hadn’t been delivered yet. I got in touch with the Front Desk and the lady (a supervisor or even the Manager?) asked me to come down to the desk to pick them up!?! So I asked whether this was a serious statement because usually, if a guest asks for a service, it is up to the hotel to deliver it and not the other way round... she wouldn’t let me talk and said: yes yes yes, you come down. Which I did! When picking up the glasses, I took the opportunity to inform her that the room hadn’t been cleaned even though it was specifically requested at the desk (as per updated guideline due to Covid19). She didn’t let me finish my sentence, called the Housekeeper and asked for the service. There was no apology, no explanation, nothing. I fully understand that services are being limited during those exceptional times. I also understand that any contact with the guest should be avoided. I am still comprehensive about potential staffing problems due to quarantaine etc. However I am wondering why Room Service did not bring up the glasses, leave them in front of the room door, so that the guest can just pick them up? Why does a guest need to get down to the reception to pick up something which should be anyway in the room?? It’s really like a guest carries his suitcase himself and the porter is watching ..... I was staying at a HOTEL after all, not at a camping! A minimum of service should still be feasible! It is not the guest’s fault if rates are low, if Covid19 exists and if the situation is challenging. You should rather be grateful for those supporting you and show appreciation!

Overall good, however some things to improve: Nowhere it is mentioned that the pool is accessible for only 30 minutes - which is really nothing Reception should know how the public transportation works. They have us the wrong information twice and also wrong time for shops opening hours. I would not pay the full rate to be a guest of the hotel, but for going rates of the moment - it was fine.

20 minutes after arrival, a cleaning lady unexpectedly came in without knocking on the door and left without apologizing. The same thing happened the following morning where we were woken up by a cleaning lady fidgeting with the door handle and trying to come in. We were expecting bottles of water in the mini-bar, however it was empty. When asked at the reception, they claimed they had no bottled water in the hotel. We asked for cups so we could at least drink from the tap and after 20 minutes of waiting they gave us PLASTIC cups. We ended up having to drink tap water from plastic cups because supposedly, there was no bottled water anywhere...

I got a free upgrade, so we had a bigger room.
The hotel blocked 110eur more than the actual price for our stay. It should have been 280eur, but I had 390eur blocked for almost 2weeks after the checkout. Nobody told me that this 110eur will be blocked or for how long. It is pretty far from the city center, like 20-30min by bus. Bus which comes every 30min. Also we paid 13eur for parking/ day, which was not announced. It's not a big amount, but I would have liked to know about it. The cleaning ladies came every day @10, we told them to come a bit later, nobody cleaned our room for 3 days. The room was a bit old, not quite the quality you expected for a 4 stars hotel.

My stay was really short (less than 12 hours), so I don’t have much to say. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, services offered were limited. Room was nice, comfortable and spacious.
Only a minor problem. Room was advertised to be equipped with a kettle, but there wasn’t one. So I couldn’t prepare a coffee/tea when I woke up. Except this, overall I had a good stay.

We were located at the 16th floor and there was no running water in the evening. The entrance of the hotel had a broken glass, which has not been repaired. The sink in the room was broken as well.

Abuse of Corona restrictions. Limited use of Pool on Saturday, closed on Sunday. Didn't realize that Covid-19 was only infectious on weekends in Luxembourg. No parking available around the hotel, only paid Hotel parking. Everything was removed from the room, from water glass, to coffee/tea items, etc... At the check out, they wanted to charge me a higher rate than booked.

The thing I liked most was the warm welcome and how friendly the personnel was, we had a great diner on our last night and despite we did not speak any French the personnel was kind enough to use English or German to us.
The thing that could be better was the airconditioning, after I had set the AC on 17 Degrees the temperature did not go to the desired setpoint.

Given that in Luxembourg post CoVid restrictions do not prevent restaurants etc... from opening, I don't understand why they could not even have a minimal level of room service. On top of it the breakfast buffet food choice ended being poor, especially for vegetarian people such as my patner. Finally, the bathroom of our suite was not clean when we got in (hair on the floor, etc...) and the bathtube had some leakage which made the bathroom floor totally and heavily wet after a normally long shower...

The hotel had a strong protocol against the COVID-19. They provide social distancing instructions, Hygiene rules and materials, and disinfection of the facilities. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay in a safe and clean hotel.

The location was alright, the view isn't marvelous but not bad either. We looked directly to a mountain. The staff were friendly but may could have been more informative about the corona rules. Also they should just leave towels near the door every single day. The hotel itself is clean and nice. the room was good as well. We definitely had a good stay.
Not being able to clean our own room. staff never cleaned the room because of corona, but also didn't leave a vacuum cleaner or something else. It was also hard to get new towels. I called them about 10 times, but they never picked up the phone. Eventually I had to ask for new towels at the front desk. + also: They should just have closed the pool as well or let in less guests. we reserved for the pool and expected to see about 8 others. But instead there were about 20 people in the pool. It was very humid. The pool itself is just about 4 by 8 meters. Viruses thrive in such environment.

We received a very warm welcome and a free room upgrade, which was perfect. Because of the bigger room we had more space for the babybed for our 1 year old daughter. We had a microwave, perfect for her bottle and snack.
Due to covid all restaurant facilities were closed, except for a take-away breakfast. There was no roomservice, which would have been a perfect and safe solution I believe. There was no option to order coffee or tea, there was no water boiler or coffee maker in the room. For a Hilton Hotel, this is really unacceptable.

When I asked reception what I should do they said 'drink from the tap' The shower in the room had terrible pressure and the plug was stuck. The upgraded room was stunning, bed comfortable and very clean
So we waited 90 minutes to check in, with what can only be described as chaos! 2 meter lines set but no one adhering to them! No checks, no asking for social distancing - no entry/exit and guests access to the lift was pushing through the crowds trying to check in! And the poor girl on reception couldn’t check in and ensure social distancing- I felt sorry for her. Clearly well booked but only one receptionist dealing with check in and one on the priority desk! Just not good enough for a Hilton Hotel! Given an upgrade for our wait- which was lovely but I think the girl would have rather had some help than handing out free upgrades. When we finally got to room the key cards did not work which meant a further 30 minute queue for the one person priority desk

The Corona measurements are not safe. It is a dangerous place to be in in this period!!!! Long waiting raws and times at the reception and the breakfast!! The hotel had a large number of clients! The hotel arrangements for Covid-19 are of total failure! The breakfast should be collected personally and served in the room, good Idea! But the arrangements are very bad! There was just one collection point, and we had to wait 50 minutes next to other clients in long raws for the meal! It was not safe and we felt humiliation!! We came to feel good and not humility. Covid related restrictions should be done for reducing the risk of infection, but in Hilton the increased the risk instead of reducing it!!! The number of the staff was totally not favoring better functioning of the appliede measurments!!! We missed a coffee machine There was no good answer for answer questions. Room service is missing because of Covid! But water bottles are minimal requirement in a hotel! We had to go out at midnight to search for a gas station and buy water!!
We were waiting for almost 1hour during checkin, the hotel gave us a promotion because of that, however the room has a door which is connect to other room. We can hear sound from the other room when they are watching TV.

We booked a suite on the 15th floor- Room was nice, but all windows were very dirty. The room had two nice balcony’s, but the door handles had been removed- and no one was allowed to use them. Coffee machine had been removed and no one came to clean the room. We assume it was because of the covid19 issues.. Restaurant and bar were closed (covid19) we had to pick up breakfast in a bag each morning and bring back to room. Would not recommend the breakfast. Nothing served hot- no boiled eggs- just meat/cheese/ yogurts and a apple- and small hard bread rolls- coffee was good.
It is easy to get by car at Luxembourg from this hotel.
We used the same towels for 3 days, because the housekeeping did not clean our room. When I asked for clean towels, the lady told me that she did not had enough. So I only got 2 small clean towels for 3 days. We had to eat breakfast in our room, we knew this, but we had to wait a long time to get breakfast and it was the same food every day. The plates we used for breakfast stood at our room for 3 days because housekeeping did not picked it up. When we put it outside of our roomdoors, it stood also there for a day. The bar and restaurant was closed, but we had no coffee of tea in our room, or any glasses for our own drinks.

- Due COVID-19, breakfast was to be eaten in the hotel room. In the morning you had to go to the breakfast room to have it assembled to your personal taste. (Too bad, there was a 25-person waiting line). - Quiet hotel/room, fast or slow access to the city (Bus/Train) in the neighbourhood.
- Unclear COVID-19 pool rules. Reservation was mandatory, so pool access was restricted (good), but the reservation was not passed to the pool attendant, nor was clearly communicated that the pool slot included 30 minutes cleaning. A bit more explanation beforehand (and a working hotel room key) would have meant more than 10 minutes pool time. (Anyway just a small minus for me...) - Parking was available at a price, and there were few parking spots available in the neighbourhood. Maybe it is better to mention you offer parking at a certain price rate.

The rooms are spacious and the facilities are decent. The property is close to a bus stop into town. The gym was small but offered a good range of weights (according to my boyfriend).
The shuttle wasn’t available both at pick up and drop off to the airport despite me emailing at the time of booking (three months before my stay) and, as advised by them, emailing a few days before my stay. I would have stayed in the centre of town had I known it wouldn’t be available. They mentioned a check-in cookie in the email I received prior to staying but I didn’t receive one until I asked (petty but I was in a negative mood regarding the shuttle). The pool wasn’t open when it was meant to be and sauna was unavailable. I found the breakfast disappointing, although my boyfriend thought it was decent. There was a dead roach in our room when I first checked in and it remained there after cleaning the next day so I’d say cleaning isn’t very thorough. All minor points but they add up and I expect more from a Hilton.
I did not like anything related to this hotel and stay in Luxembourg at DoubleTree by Hilton. It was not like another DoubleTree's around the world.
The receptionist saw me that I am waiting for check-in, but they continued to chat with each other. I have never seen in any DoubleTree hotel in the world, that they are giving cold cookies at check in, at least they had to be warm. It is not a problem but I mean, why not they do not have equivalent quality in Luxembourg. I have not used breakfast in the morning, but there was a huge waiting queue even for breakfast. Also there was queues for elevators, after 10min wait, I used stairs to go down from 10th floor.
I am from Spain and had a reservation for this weekend in March. As much as I have offered to change the date to avoid the spread of the covad-19 pandemic, they have refused. I have not requested a refund. I am healthy, but I think that for social conscience and to avoid contagions, one should not travel and even less coming from a country that is the focus and the WHO declaration in relation to Europe. A pity that there are hotels with this human quality and sensitivity towards their own guests, beyond being excellent in cleanliness, location and restaurant...
The parking was big. The view was very nice, in the morning. We were at the 14th floor. The entire place, up on the hill, is very nice and quiet. You can see the forest far away. Also, it wasn't so far from the city center. The breakfast was very good, everyone moved fast. We had many choices of food and beverages and didn't wait in line for anything.
When we arrived, the receptionist was very busy with other stuff and after a few minutes of waiting, we were asked how can she help. The reception wasn't aware of the fact that we come with a dog and didn't know how to handle exactly the situation, even though it's the first thing I mention when booking a place. But we sorted out the next day. We had higher expectations regarding the mini bar in the room, to have more options, in the drinking section. We had better choices when staying at a regular place.
The staff at the reception and in restaurant is really courteous and helpful. The rooms are fairly spacious and the connection to central town is very convenient too.
The hotel isn’t transparent about it airport shuttle policy. For arrivals they refused outright saying that shuttle was full and yet when we were picked up we were the only passengers in the shuttle. Similarly for departure one staff said that shuttle was full and one said shuttle doesn’t run on Sunday. When I requested through email before arrival I was told that I can just book it at reception on arrival and later they refuse. In total it cost me 40€ just to get to the airport

Shuttle service was amazing. Driver was exceptionally friendly. Free cookie when we booked in.
Pool was freezing cold and separate gender sauna. Staff awaiting behind counter near the section for special hilton members not serving anyone when they could have served us.

Restaurant. Wait 10 minutes at the entry before someone came. And the person just said , you will have to wait at least 40 min to eat. I look the tables and not even half of them were occupied.... I quit without eating !!! :(
The staff were very nice and helpful. The bus that stops in front of the hotel gets to downtown in 10-15 minutes (on the weekends).
The parking is in a pretty miserable condition. Guests should not have to pay for it.
Hotel reception was inviting the rooms are a little tired but perfectly clean and comfortable
Breakfast was imo limited although my husband enjoyed his there was very little fruit and limited yoghurts nether the less the service was very good.

I had Flemish asparagus in your restaurant and it may be the best prepared asparagus I have ever eaten. The breakfast was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bus very convenient. Hotel excellent value - would stay there again and would highly recommend.

Okay and inexpensive for Luxembourg
The room was big (much bigger than I even hoped) and the king sized bed was AWESOME! Room was also very quiet, which means the walls were sufficiently thick.
The room was sterile. The bathroom was large, but there was no method or madness to the space itself. The TVs were old and need to be updated (the one in the bedroom didn't work; thankfully the one in the living room did).
