Hotel The Anamar Suites

Nice hotel, nicely decorated and renovated. Nice apartment 7 nights out of 9... read after!

Welcome-Check In desastrous: Hotel was reserved many months before. Upon arrival, paying the full amount and then directed to room 300. (Absolutely no comments from the reception of any problem). I started having doubts when i saw "privado" written on the door. Opening the door and I find a tiny studio, without A/C, small balcony facing walls, constant running water noise and smell for the shower drain. Nothing to do with what I reserved. Going back to the reception and complaining, they explain me they overbook and thats all they have. I would have said nothing, they would have left us there. (They tried their way...) First offer was to offer full board but leaving us in the same room. After arguing and negociating, they tell us we can have a real apartment, like what I truely reserved, after 2 days (out of 9). Had to negociate again so they re-embourse one of the 2 inadequate nights. Not a nice way to start your holiday!

Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice. Rooms very clean. Location good. Outside areas spotlessly clean and maids etc very polite.

Air-conditioning was broken and not fixed in our 10 day stay. We reported it daily. Juan and Jesus on reception were very rude. Juan in particular. Had to sleep with the window open but was disturbed by people in hottubs at 3 or 4 in the morning.I I was actually shouted at down the phone when asking something from reception . Arranged a courtesy room for the last day and when went to check out was informed very rudely that we couldn't have one. Their attitude was not good customer service. Did not expect to be shouted at and tutted at when asking for a taxi at 9 pm when he was sitting in the restaurant eating on duty!!
