Elba Sunset Mallorca Thalasso Spa

The views, wow, the views! First thing you’re met with as you walk through the lobby is the beautiful scenery around the hotel. We were offered a discounted rate to upgrade to a pool-view (I highly recommend either one of these rooms or the sea-view rooms, it’s really worth the slight price increase). Food was lovely with different meats and grill options each night. Drinks prices were very reasonable at €3 a glass for wine/cava and about the same for a beer. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly! Room and other areas of the hotel were spotless with friendly housekeeping staff who were willing to go the extra mile. Clean bath towels every day and fresh bedding. The sea access made for a great change from the pool being able to take a dip in the sea right on your doorstep. Being close to Magaluf, my partner and I were sceptical about the noise and punters but it was so quiet but not so far out the way we couldn’t go out if we wanted to.

The bars/restaurants in the hotel do not accept cash which was a bit of an issue as I did not take a credit card with me. However, you can use cash at reception to add a debit on to your room to use throughout the hotel. Spa books up really quickly so if you’re looking to use it I’d recommend booking upon arrival.

It was the most visually stunning hotel we have ever had the pleasure to stay in, with the most fascinating breakfast that a hotel can offer.

There was no brush in the toilet. The two beds slipped away from each other very easily. (They were pushed together, to form one large bed)

The views were unbelievable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Communal areas of the Hotel excellent. Restaurant and food were excellent. Staff were professional and friendly. Always plenty of sunbeds available. The Bow restaurant on the edge of the sea is very good fod the evening, not too expensive and live entertainment.

Noise from other balconies was much more noticeable than in other places I have stayed, the rooms were huge but the balconies were small. Pretty obvious that non-residents from Magaluf were just walking in and using the pool facilities - this needs addressing- bit much when you are paying €200 a night. There is lots of glass at this hotel on the balconies and sea facing communal areas,, and it wasn't being cleaned.

Loved the outdoor pool facilities, and the hotel and it's staff in general were lovely.

I felt the food in the Bow restaurant could have been much better. I would have appreciated a more local Spanish cuisine as opposed to trying to cater to a commercial international menu of burgers and pizzas. The half board was lovely, with a range of foods to choose from, however again I felt the standard of cooking could have been better.
