Great location, charming hotel.
Pros: The Peery is located conveniently to great restaurants, the Salt Palace, and downtown SLC. I was able to walk everywhere I went. The airport was only 15 minutes away by Uber. All the staff were excellent, very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has that boutique charm and has been redone beautifully.
Cons: I was there during some unseasonably warm days. Being on third floor, all the heat seemed to come up to my room. Apparently, because of the age of the building, they can only turn on the heat OR the AC. I sweltered the first night. The next day I asked at the desk and they told me to leave the HV/AC system off and my room would cool down. Normally, that may have been true, but due to the warm days, it didn't happen. They then got me a box fan, which helped tremendously. I was more comfortable for the rest of my stay.

Pros: The beds were very comfy and the decor and location were nice.
Cons: When the heater turned on, it was excessively loud (hard to sleep through) and the bathroom fan was very loud as well.

If I only had a key...
Pros: Staff was great. Friendly, helpful and professional.
Cons: The key card system was broken, so no room keys. Quite a hassle.

Cons: The building smelt old and so did the room, I was worried my cloths would take on the smell so I left. The toilet was pretty much right next to the wall with the towel rack right over it so you couldn't go to the bathroom with out removing the towels first. The room was very small as well.

Pros: Staff was very friendly, location is fantastic!! It is old and has less amenities but this was no surprise as we reviewed the comments from other travellers. Breakfast is fine nothing special ! But overall it is a great value for what you get.
Cons: Did not like having to pay for parking !!!!!!! Again the breakfast was nothing special and the internet in the room was slow but I did find that the internet down in the business room was fine!

Great stay for library
Pros: The staff was wonderful, even going so far as to loan me a phone charger because I left mine at home! The hotel is a 15 minute was to the Family History Library, right through downtown. The lobby is very nice. The room was perfect for my needs, clean and simple. It's not the Ritz, but that's not what you're paying for! Great value. I'd stay here agin on a trip to Salt Lake.

Perfect getaway place
Pros: It's close to everything and close to public transportation. Also it's a historical building which is awesome. The place have a lot of history which made us really like it.
Cons: The breakfast is not really good it's an ok breakfast. And also there is no parking so you have to pay hourly Parking or park from 8 pm to 8 am for free
