Maria Nova Lounge Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times its in a great location very close to the town,we had a pool view on the 3rd floor with great views over the town

could have had an ironing board

The stand out point for me at this hotel are the staff. Everyone from the reception to the bars and restaurants were excellent, very friendly and courteous. The breakfast was very enjoyable especially as they don't use automated coffee machines and provide lovely big mugs for your tea or coffee. All the food was very fresh and a very good quality. The restaurant itself is very comfortable. most mornings they had a piano player which was a lovely touch. The rooftop bar is very modern with great views. The pool area is a good size and we were always able to get sunbeds. The hotel is well located and just a short walk to the centre of town.

My wife and I found the beds in our room to be a little on the hard side and I didn't enjoy the plastic undersheet on the bed. The rooms are a good size but the wardrobes are badly designed with only one small draw in the entire bedroom. Although there are many lights in the room which add to the overall design we felt that they didn't provide sufficient light. Some of the steps getting down into the pool are in need of repair. Traveler TIP: The minibar fridge is housed behind a door in the wardrobe which affects the ability of the fridge to operate properly (the area inside overheats when its closed and the fridge is not very cold because of this). This can be overcome by leaving the wardrobe door open.

Room was updated and clean. Greatpool and city view.

Hard to situate 2 large bags. One went inside wardrobe the other would have been better on a luggage stand instead of the floor.
