We have known Tavira for many years, we have always wanted to stay at the Pousada, this time visiting it was our Honeymoon so we had to, it lived up to all of our expectations, a wonderful experience, beautiful hotel with excellent, welcoming staff!

Location to the old town. The reception staff spoke English well and were very helpful especially Annabelle The old building is beautiful. The pool area is ver nice.
The addition to the hotel looks added on. I would prefer one of the original rooms which we had. The restaurant area was a bit drab.

I loved the building & the history around it. It had a calming atmosphere & was a relaxing place to stay.
When you order food - lunch & dinner, I like to get my drink to start, but here, it takes a while. You need to have lots of time. I had dinner one night & I ordered a bottle of wine & main course & waited 25 mins approx or maybe longer & my wine did not arrive until my main course!
