Ilioperato Traditional Apartments

We arrived very early in the morning around 8 am and were super hungry but the staff didn’t provide anything to eat and said that we can walk to Fira to get food.

The breakfast was great, staff was great, location and value was excellent. Our room was huge!

Our shower head was a little broken, and I struggled to get hot water. Also the pool was freeezing. But overall the stay was excellent!

This place is great! The staff is awesome! We flew in at 5am and they booked a private car for us for a reasonable feee and then they met us at the car to walk us down to the property and check us in. They even carried our heavy bags! We had breakfast delivered to our room every morning which was such a treat! The views are amazing and the area is very quiet. We felt very safe and welcome there. It was a slo a great location as we rented a “buggy” aka side by side and where able to drive all over the island! The sun set from our private balcony could not be better!

The bedding and towels could have been in better condition. The towels where not as soft as I would have liked but that’s because they are hung to dry. The mattress itself was great though!

The location provides stunning sunsets without the crowds of Oia. The staff was extremely helpful, breakfast on the balcony was amazing.

The sail shades covering the balcony were quite noisy when the wind was blowing.

Fantastic Stay

I loved this hotel and the staff! I was In Santorini years ago and stayed at a hotel inland and when I came back this time I had high hopes of staying in a cave type room overlooking the caldera and after months of research I found Ilioperato and it lived up to my dream! The views are beautiful, you can walk to Fira in 30 min along a beautiful pedestrian walk way, the hotel is lovely and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Can't say enough great things! The Greek salad is delicious!

The bed was a bit hard and the bedroom was a bit dark but it's a cave so I think part of the charm. I would definitely stay again!

Best Location

The location was the best we saw as it is connected to Imerovigli yet is right on the edge making less foot traffic and noise. Easy access to anything we needed yet away from the crowds. Incredible view (though anywhere along the caldera is nice). The staff is also incredibly nice, welcoming, and accomadating. They made us feel very welcome. And their breakfasts were a definite highlite!

The room we received was not the one pictured on the site which threw us off on our arrival. And our first night we had very noisy neighbours which were definitely noticable (thankfully they left the next morning and we did not have any other issues with noise)
