The Ellison is located steps from Venice Beach's famous boardwalk, sand and, ocean! Located on Speedway and Paloma Avenue. Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey are nearby cities. Los Angeles International Airport, pier, and water sports are nearby. Originally built in 1913 as a hotel and once owned by comedy slapstick team, Laurel & Hardy. This building kept its original charm of the turn of the 1900s. The building has exposed exterior brick walls. The Ellison Building has 58 studio apartments. 14 studio apartments are listed online as vacation rentals. 7 apartments have partial ocean views. The apartments measure about 450 square footage. Each apartment has exposed interior brick walls. Each apartment has hardwood floors, a pull out full size trundle bed, a second queen size bed, and seating. There are no sofa beds, no roll away beds. Private full kitchen with appliances and private bathroom. Double sliding pocket doors provide privacy between both bed areas in most apartments and most of the bathrooms still have the original clawfoot shower bathtubs. No onsite parking. Street parking where you can find it. We recommend nearby pay park lots.Venice Beach was founded in 1905 by developer Abbot Kinney as a beachfront resort town. Venice is a cultural mecca, offering unique and vibrant mix of activities and attractions. Unique shopping experience, or sophisticated evening of art and music. Small safe,TV,wifi,DVD. Nightly rate $230-$320 + 14% occupancy tax + one time $50 clean fee.
