Gran Hotel Nagari Boutique & Spa

To be fair and honest, there was not a single pleasing thing about this hotel. Meaning, there-s not much I can point out when it comes to positive points. Perhaps the fact that the front office staff were smiley for 45 sec, as soon as we engaged conversations and negotiation, that smile faded away for the rest of our stay towards us. Not what you expect from a 5 star "hotel".

Gran "hotel" Nagari is light years away from what they could call themselves a 5 star hotel. The poor people thrown on the front office, completely unaware of the importance of their job is, totally in a fantasy they call reception, where they do believe that the job are check ins and check outs. when it's so much more than that. Having inexperienced people isn't a crime, but having more than one member of staff, in this case, all of them, not having a clue of what they're talking about and when challenged , the path chosen is filled with lies after lies, isn't by far what you expect of a 5 star hotel. The whole place and staff are misleading,the quality of the stay and so many other things , like the 5 star hotel requirements, are far from the acceptable. The inability of the staff to deal with us,lead them to give us the worst room available as a sweet revenge, all for the fact that we've showed them how poorly minded and short sighted they were. Well, as expected the room reeked, smell of old wood, dusty, not cleaned at all and of course, not suitable to be a 5star hotel room. Oh but they do offer a small candle so that you can disguise the smell yourself. Very poor gentlemen, very poor indeed. The breakfast offer is as soggy and blend as the room itself. The "fresh" orange juice(requirement for a 5 star hotel) is awful, the color,the taste, the coffee is unbearable,the very low fiber or cereal offer isn't acceptable on 5 star hotels. Eggs and omelettes are suppose to be presented hot, as well as the plates on every 5 star hotels, they must be hot. The staff at the restaurant,as their equals at the front desk,are "flying" somewhere not close to the restaurant,only concerning about the guest list. In short, hotel Nagari has nothing of "gran" or "boutique". As an hostel on the Santiago Way, it's an average stay,a quite pricey for the quality shared. A concern in the hotel industry.
