Day 1

Arrive at Newcastle Airport

Bushwalking at Glenrock State Conservation Area – Bombala Track

Feel connected to nature as you traverse the trail through the tranquil Glenrock bushland. Catch ocean glimpses and relax while exploring Dudley Beach.

Lunch at The Yoga Place Cafe

Stop for lunch at The Yoga Place Cafe,  where they serve colourful plant-based whole foods in a joyful garden setting. Try buckwheat pancakes or the nourish bowl, and there are plenty of gluten-free options.

Admire Lake Macquarie’s awe-inspiring coastline from a different perspective, aboard CoastXP’s custom-built eco-tourism vessel ‘Atmos’. While you are in the area, go visit Caves Beach, Catherine Hill Bay and the rugged southern coastline.

Feel the awe of a spectacular coastline view as you join a guided hike with CoastXP at Wallarah National Park.

Hike along cliff tops, stop at rock platforms and secluded Pinny Beach, which is only accessible on foot.

Day 3

Enjoy breakfast at The Captain & Crew a relaxed indoor/outdoor setting with a cool, coastal vibe, located on the Marks Point village green just steps from the lake.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast of waffles or Moroccan baked eggs.

Lake Macquarie’s most popular beach, Redhead is named for its impressive headland and known for its iconic wooden shark lookout tower, perched atop a rocky outcrop.
After exploring the beach, grab a coffee from Cargo Espresso Bar at the surf club and head up to Redhead Bluff to drink in panoramic views over Nile Mile Beach and the coastline further south.

A picnic in the sunshine is a joyful experience and Luxe Lakeside create incredible picnics to choose from, with four beautiful themes.

Caves Beach is known for its namesake sea caves, tucked into the southern headland. The sea caves are Insta-famous and one of Lake Macquarie’s most popular natural attractions.

Day 4

Museum of Art and Culture is the Hunter’s only waterfront gallery, positioned within five hectares of leafy grounds featuring a sculpture park and mosaic pathways. This award-winning art museum includes an ever-changing roster of exciting exhibitions, a cafe and a retail shop for locally and Australian-made goods.

Lunch on the Lake Cruise with Lake Macquarie Cruises
