Morning

Dolphin Discovery Centre 

Saying farewell to the city, driving 90-minutes south to The Dolphin Discovery Centre in Bunbury.

This Interpretive Centre showcases an expanded range of themed fish and coral aquariums, and an amazing 360-degree Digital Dolphinarium, as well as interpretation of the Koombana Bay environment and its history – geological, indigenous, marine and contemporary. 

Fancy staying a little longer? The 90 minute eco-cruise on Koombana Bay, is an excellent viewing opportunity to watch dolphins as they interact in their natural environment, or take to the open waters and swim with the wild dolphins, an exhilarating experience you won’t forget.

Busselton Jetty & Underwater Observatory 

Continuing 50 minutes south, next stop is the Busselton Jetty and Underwater Observatory. Extending almost 2km in length, the heritage listed Busselton Jetty is the longest timber jetty (pier) in the Southern Hemisphere.

Take a relaxing electric train ride along the length of the jetty, enjoying 360-degree views over the protected waters of Geographe Bay. At the jetty’s end, visit the Underwater Observatory to descend beneath the ocean’s surface and view the awe inspiring “forest” of vividly-coloured tropical and sub-tropical marine  life of Australia’s greatest artificial reefs.

Easy Ride Tours 

This afternoon it’s time to get off the beaten track with Easy Ride Tours for a down-to-earth winery and brewery tour with a difference. As Margaret River’s only dedicated ebike tour company, you will be given a backstage pass to the region cycling through native bushland, lush green farming pastures and vineyards. Visit boutique vineyards to sample some of the finest wines in the region, stop for a delicious picnic lunch before wetting your whistle with some ales at Margaret River’s best brewery

The Margaret River Discovery Co. 

Finish off the day with a canoe along the Margaret River with The Margaret River Discovery Co.  Launching from a hidden location along the riverbank, paddle alongside local guide Sean Blocksidge taking in the spectacular limestone cliffs that illuminate with the late afternoon glow. As the sun drops into the Indian ocean enjoy canapes and a drink before paddling back to shore.

Enjoy dinner this evening overlooking the Indian Ocean at Pullman Bunker Bay Resort & Spa’s award winning restaurant, Other Side of the Moon. Starring a who’s who of the Margaret River’s local best, the menu pays homage to local and indigenous ingredients that flourish in Bunker Bay during the Wardandi six seasons.

Witness the landscape come alive on a Coastal Wildlife Eco Tour with the brothers from South West Eco Discoveries. Travelling along the stunning Margaret River coastline spot  – dolphins, birds, reptiles and kangaroos, plus abundant sea life including shore-based whale watching from June to December. With the region’s only live underwater video feed direct to the tour vehicle (conditions permitting), they have it all covered.

Stretch your legs and discover the rugged and dramatic West Coast with a walk along the Cape to Cape Track.
