Pros: "The plane was ghetto and old and there was only one tiny restroom for the entire economy class."

Cons: "A pair of babies wailed and cried for almost the entire 10 hour flight. Was this ANA’s fault? Of course not, but they could’ve suggested to the parents ways to help with their children."

Cons: "The main issue was getting off the plane in Sydney - we had to wait for a bus to offload us as the plane was sitting a long distance from the terminal. The bus eventually came, offloaded half the passengers and then returned 20 minutes later to start to offload the rest. It's the longest time I've ever spend disembarking from a plane and clearing an airport - very poor whoever was responsible (I'm assuming Sydney airport was at fault)."

Pros: "The Japanese food was fantastic - individual Japanese food selections which I wondered if would be good turned out totally amazing - well done!"

Cons: "My seat was horrible. I'm sure it was like that for everyone in economy. The seat can't recline putting me in an awkward position for the entire flight. It was a red-eye so I didn't sleep much. Maybe it was the airplane since I flew with ANA last year but with the 787. The difference is almost night and day."

Cons: "We both - Wife and me - had to pay around 200 USD for TWO Extra Suitcases in spite of both being an ANA Flying Miles Members. Hence What is the uet of these ANA Miles Club (AMC) Membership? Remains an EYE-WASH................................."

Pros: "The in-flight entertainment is fantastic, always loaded with new movies to watch. The same free drinks (beer/wine/etc)"
Cons: "The boarding was terrible. They called for groups, asked everyone to form 2 lines, but after the lines were formed, closed one boarding lane. Some people were late to board for first-class, causing even more boarding delay and chaos. There were 5 crew at the boarding gate just standing and watching. I selected a seat closer to the rear of the cabin, which received much worse attention than any other flight with ANA. I didn't get asked for a drink until very late, and the second time around there were almost no drink selections available. My seat was also broken and would not recline. Aside from the actual airline, the passengers in the rear were very inconsiderate. There was a big family with several children running around/crying/playing with seat-back trays the entire 11+ hour flight. Again, this is not entirely the fault of the airline, but it was a discomfort."

Cons: "Nothing as far as human services. Thai used to be and I have flown Thai since i was a teenager, many many times. I used to every time get excited to fly with Thai. this time i had two Thai connections between Tokyo - Bankgkok and Bangkok-Delhi, both times my two young minor children were automatically seated away from me and each other also during checkin process. it took a lot of time and convincing the agent to get my own children seated with me on long international flights! Food service was worse than expect for name of Thai airways!"

The elderly man when serving meals just flops or slams your tray on your tray table. The attendants do not even clean the tiolets like the ANA attendants do. Such difference in service. I wish that ANA will notbpartner with United. It sure tarnishes their brand."

Pros: "ANA staff are generally well trained (but are you really allowed to land with your laptop open on your lap as some people were?) ... good service overall, good movie selection, food varies from OK but boring to very good indeed ."
Cons: "Both meal A and B selections would have caused problems for people with shellfish allergies. One was a seafood doria so they have me the other meal. The other had a sauce with seafood extract in the ingredients. I can read Japanese so didn't eat it, but there wasn't any English information on it."

So based on their decision, we were even further delayed and subsequently missed our connection in sydney. United has offered no compensation either for our change fee in sydney nor for the stress they added to our vacation - on a Christmas flight nonetheless!"

Pros: "Delays because of fires , had to wait in line close to 90 minutes but when we finally reached the ticket counter the agent moved took great care of us and we made to Boise only an hour late even with all the delays and confusion . Excellent job , one of the better customer experiences I’ve had flying !"

Cons: "That my return flight was canceled with no notification after I missed my first flight. I ended up getting a new flight and was never informed that my return flight was cancelled there for when I got to the airport to return home I had to buy another $600 ticket. After buying a new ticket when I missed my first flight (my fault, I know) but I really think I should be compensated for this inconvenience and the lack of notifying me whatsoever."

Cons: "We were in first class first row, the crew kept talking and laughing during the entire flight (this is a 5 hours flight and we landed at 5am). Loud and banging the trolleys (why, everyone is trying to sleep!). We asked them to not speak as loud, but to no avail.... asking for a glass a water was a no no, you could clearly see they were not there to help you... The entertainment system was a vintage tiny TV which did not work well anyway (loss of image...). The seat was half broken. Not sure where the first class experience was. United please do something... Start first with your employees. Send them to Southwest for training..."

Cons: "I thought it was ridiculous you had to pay to watch tv despite there being a monitor in each seat. That was the first time I've encountered that on a flight."

Cons: "I've flown United for years and this was the most cramped plane - I'm 5'9 and I barely fit in the seat with my knees hitting the seat in front of me. Seems as though the seats have also been redone and made thinner - assuming to fit more rows in which results in more uncomfortable seats and far less room. Other than the entertainment on the flight - this was very reminiscent of a Frontier or Spirit airplane ride."

Cons: "Sat and listened the WHOLE trip except when drinks were being served to the private lives of the flight attendants. The didn't pick up trash so everyone had to place their ice and semi full drinks in the nets when it got bumpy for the landing. I watched the flight attendants the whole time- they got paid to converse about everything- here is proof- one flight attendant was complaining that she only had 4 days of vacation and that she never gets called to work- I think I can guess why- and that she has talked to Kaitlyn- I think that was her bosses name?? But she wasn't given more hours. I wish I had ear plugs. The African American lady was so unkind and uncaring. She scollded another African American lady for coming to the back to throw away her trash. She hurt the lady's feelings and made her mad too. The folks on the plane seemed to be too much of a deflection to their personal conversations, but they were successful at ignoring everyone. We had to be careful to not spill liquid on our carry on etc and not hit the cups and such with our knees on the way out. I usually fly Southwest and want to write a letter telling them how great their service is! I apologized to the cleaning crew as the flight attendants told us to not worry about our drinks"the cleaning crew" will get it. How unprofessional to treat others that way. Stop talking! You can get A WHOLE lot done when you aren't sharing your personal life and opinions with each other!"

Cons: "two hours late without any reason given, and forced to check my bag on the prior flight to the final destination meaning I can't get it at gate side. Numerous flights to Cedar Rapids through United have been canceled or delayed without any explanation - I don't have faith in United anymore and will not book with them again."

Cons: "Having to board and put away carry on thinking the flight will depart soon and then finding out within 15 mins when everyone have boarded and settle that the maintenance delay requires that everyone must evacuate the plane with their carry on luggages. We waited at the gate for nearly 2 hours because the flight clerk told us not to roam far due to continuous updates... It started out as a 30 min delay and ended as a 2 hour delay with gate and plane changes. Had we known it was a 2 hr delay we would have been able to go use the restroom and go eat in between without worrying that the flight will depart."

Cons: "We had to land in San Antonio due to bad weather (understandable), but the customer service was appalling. They kept passengers on the plane for 3 hours and 45 minutes, which is prohibited by federa law. They failed to provide additional snacks when the passengers were on the plane for over 7.5 hours, and made it seem like it was such a nuisance when we asked for water. They were able to pass out one cookie by hour 6 but the flight attendant made it VERY clear that they had to do "so much paperwork" to get it approved. The flight attendants were rude, inconsiderate, and when asked what the game plan was after our 4 hour delay, their response was, ""not sure, not my department." If they didn't have answers, that's fine, but the manner and careless tone in which they replied was inconsiderate and insincere. When we finally landed at our half way destination in Houston, the flight attendant made a comment about how she can't get home due to all of the delays without considering that half of the passengers had the same dilemma and paid hundreds of dollars for their flights! The flight attendant had no empathy or respect and I would NEVER take this airline again. We spent the night at the airport and are still trying to find a flight to our destinatiom in New York :("
