1. Rachel Claire

Travellers who have driven the iconic west coast road that is route 101, running north to south from Washington State down to California, know that it’s jam packed with hidden gems. Between the deep, lush forests of Washington State, the Cliffside caves of Oregon and the sunny Californian ocean side roads, it’s a photographers’ paradise. Although nothing quite captures the adventure like this post from WA photographer Rachel Claire.

Tasmania is a deceptively huge area to conquer. Unattached from the Australian mainland, places like Cradle Mountain, the Tarkine and Freycinet Peninsula provide explorers vast amounts of land to hike or drive through. If that’s not enough for you – you can always take a seaplane up above the Freycinet Peninsula to get another perspective, like Melbourne photographer Aleksandar Jason did.

3. Tim Coulson

This shot taken by Aussie photographer Tim Coulson in Glencoe Scotland is stunning proof that Britain still has a bit of wildness left in it. Only two hours’ drive north-west of Glasgow, Glencoe is a beautiful array of rocky, windswept valleys and green moorlands. A true hikers haven for anyone visiting Scotland over the European summer.
