Only had option of an EV, have never driven one before. When renting online, should mention this possibility. Person at pickup counter not very helpful, only there to upsell. Didn't mention to check transponder if on/off or how much charged the EV should be on return.Reviewed 19 May 2024

Very bed experience, starting with the office worker what gives you attitude when you’re asking questions and ending with the car with ripped seats and Shaking wells and aesthetic cars make you feel like you got the car from a junkyard, very bed , when I asked the worker to change my car he tells me is not possible so i got the drive the junk , I will never think that Buget rental car can rent that car and give costumers that service, don’t rent from this guyReviewed 19 May 2024

Received conflicting information from Budget about what is needed in order to take a rental car out of the country. No one really knew the correct answer. Luckily we didn't have any problems. The customer service line is not US based so it was difficult to get the correct information needed due to language barrier.Reviewed 19 May 2024

I arrived just shy of midnight, so I was redirected to the Avis counter. The Avis representative was superb! He was friendly, humorous, and helpful. I paid in advance for a car seat, but there wasn’t one available upon arrival. I accepted the next best thing, a booster seat - though it’s really not nearly as safe (or possibly even legal) for my 3yo. As for the vehicle, the only one remaining was a larger SUV than I’d requested. That was a pleasant surprise - thank you! As my stay in SC went along, I realized I needed to extend my reservation. That process was so easy and pleasant. All in all, I am beyond pleased with my experience. Thank you all for having wonderful staff and vehicle options.Reviewed 18 May 2024

Pick up was great and quick! Vehicle was great except it pulled to the right, needed an alignment or something. Drop off at airport - not so good. Hard time finding someone who spoke English, long walk to the shuttle and I was with my elderly mom who needed a wheelchair, and they were in a hurry for me to remove our bags and leave the car. The employees at the richmond airport Budget office we're not very friendly they gave me an SUV instead of a car and SUV was a Ford not a Toyota Corolla like I asked for it was raining heavily I did not understand the car and I was not comfortable with an SUV but it was the car that they gave me and since other people were waiting in line for another car I felt I needed to just go ahead and take it I brought it back I believe the next day and said please give me a car I was afraid to drive the SUV I'm very comfortable sedans and especially Toyota brand the Ford controls were completely different from the Toyota brand and did I mention how rude the Richmond Virginia employees were at the Richmond airport unbelievable ! when I was returning the SUV the lady taking the car said what is the mileage and I said oh that's a good idea let me look at the mileage too what is that mileage? And she said oh so you're gonna do my job now huh? Excuse me? I mean was that necessary such attitudes I found not only from the budget Avis employees but just the large majority of staff in Customer Service positions were just plain rude and had such attitudes I don't know what made them so unhappy I had just met them so it wasn't my fault I just didn't understand why they were so unhappy in their jobs so leave if you hate the job there's no reason to be rude when someone has done nothing to you .Reviewed 18 May 2024

The car was returned with a full tank of gas, as confirmed by the Budget associate. However when I reviewed my emailed receipt, I noticed I was charged the refueling fee. Contacted Budget customer service, and they quickly agreed to refund the overcharge.Reviewed 17 May 2024

The cleaning and odor of the car could have been better. The rest was perfect, great people and service as well as great choice of car, all terrain for a 12hrs roadtrip. Drop off was easy as well as pick up, reserving online saves time!Reviewed 17 May 2024
