I accidentally put my pickup time as noon, but arrived at 10 am. I was peremptorily told by the clerk that they would refuse to allow me to pickup my rental until 11:50 at the earliest. She didn't even try to see if a vehicle in my class was ready. (I rented a 15 passenger van- I saw 8-10 ready on the lot.) No budging. The manager gave me the same attitude- just didn't care, couldn't be bothered about the HUGE inconvenience they put me to, with my family of 6 in tow. And then when I came back, the manager tried to give me some small SUV, which betrayed his lack of attention to serving me well. Utterly disappointing.Reviewed 31 Aug 2026

They didn't have any hidden or extra charges and didn't push for additional insurance. I got upgraded from manual to auto to the next level up. Charged deposit of inky $105 and not exorbitant like some other agencies.Reviewed 31 Aug 2026

Computer systems were down so the staff were doing their best but very overwhelmed. The car we reserved was not available so we got a different one … no problem at all… but there was only enough gas to go 30 miles before the gas light came on. I’ve never rented a car that close to empty before. Front counter staff was very nice but you could tell he’d been dealing with angry customers and it was going to be a long day for them all.Reviewed 30 Aug 2026

Not great experience. We had rented two 7 passenger “vans”. When we arrived we were told we could not rent two cars under the same name and they were not able to change it. We had to cancel one reservation and start with a new one. The 7 passenger “vans” were actually just larger SUVs. The two seats in the back were virtually unusable except for children or very petite people. When we returned them we were charged an additional 250 euro despite returning the cars full and undamaged. We will dispute that but likely never rent from Budget again.Reviewed 30 Aug 2026
