Worst car rental experience ever. Pickup was over 2 hours 25 people waiting in line with 2 rental agents. Agent was nice. Then sent to a line in the actual garage where one “manager” was assigning cars. The same 25 people were in line waiting for cars that were not yet ready. I rented a Camry, was assigned a jeep compass. Ultimately, this car had mechanical issues and I had to get myself to an office local to where I was staying. Switched to a filthy dirt Sonata which had the “ change oil light” on.Reviewed 27 Oct 2025

I got a car I did not want which was a electric car it was dirty it was not filled up I was told to bring it back on 50% and above I don’t hold a charge as a real car I spent 3 times more filling it up if you never drove one you might want to do your research cause they really suck rented it from 9 to 5 then I get charged 2 hundred and something dollars for returning it before 8 in the morning it was raining pretty hard and I can not drive that way plus I had to find a charge station then I one I found took so long to charge it I took my chances on coming back to the City then I put no tolls on my phone and it put me on a toll booth so I decided to keep it for the rest of the day so I can get back safe cause of the rain so no I don’t think the price or the way I was treated was fair and now they maxed out my credit card they suck I will never use them againReviewed 27 Oct 2025

I never got to rent from them. Lol. When I got there, they first told me it’ll be a 45 min wait, then started looking a little confused and turns out couldn’t find my reservation. They said they couldn’t refund the $117 in rental insurance and go ask Expedia for that. I spent $40 on Ubers to and from for NOTHING. When I called Expedia several times, they claimed they cannot refund me because they didn’t charge me. Even though it was through their page. Multiple people. Finally someone emailed me to tel me how budget was gracious to cancel my reservation. Lol THEY HAD NO CAR FOR ME OR MY RESERVATION. I would hope they’d cancel it. I’ve had to dispute the rental car insurance charge wirh my bank sine budget and Expedia are being complete scammers. So. Worst ever. I’m going to the BBB with all of my receipts and screenshots next.Reviewed 27 Oct 2025

Didn't have my reservation when arrived. Tried to give me an electric car Chevy bolt even though I reserved an SUV. When I asked why they were very rude and combative. Asked to speak with manager and eventually he said he would provide an SUV but then waited an hour and had to go back up to the counter and finally just settled on a sedan that was available since there was still no SUV. Even though I heard them "upgrade" another customer for free to a rav 4 suv who came in after us.Reviewed 27 Oct 2025

I can't say enough good things about the Boston Seaport budget rental car agency. John was immensely patient and thorough with my Very Many questions! I originally booked them by mistake, I thought I was booking through the airport. But this branch was much cheaper, Flexible and responsive. Best experience I've ever had with a car agency!. There was significant black staining in the back seats when we picked up the car but so far I haven't been faulted for it so I can't really complain. The Sonata that we rented had about 6,000 miles on it and was an absolute joy. It was whisper quiet. The only very minor complaint was some smudging on the interior side of the windscreen that affected visibility. Drop-off was ultra fast, and pick-up was quite quick as well. We were in line and Budget personnel realized there was a long line so extra personnel got settled at booths to process each customer. That's excellent detail. I only wish the car rental return sign was more prominent, more visible, and that the signs stating not to enter were also more visible. Also the agent at Budget didn't try upsell me and confuse me when I came to pick up the car. Overall I had an excellent experience with Budget. I'd like to suggest that Budget look into doing a cleaning of the interior of windscreens with extra attention because it could avoid a future lawsuit by a customer who gets into an accident. I'd also suggest that Budget try out renting a car through Alamo wherever Alamo offers the express pick-up that allows a customer to skip the line. The Alamo offices at the PDX airport allow express pick-up and it was an excellent experience.Reviewed 26 Oct 2025

Spent an hour and a half in line, such a slow and inefficient process. Then wasted 10 more minutes on my time on top of that pushing rental car coverage down my throat after I said I had it through a third party, and was lied to about that coverage not being adequate.Reviewed 26 Oct 2025
