Terrible. The car smelled like marijuana when I got in and I did not have the time to go back to try to rent something else. Then when I dropped the car off at another airport, the attendant was nowhere near the car and just shouted for me to leave the keys on the seat. Weeks later I received a bill in the mail for $600 for windshield damage that never happened. Upon speaking to someone from Budget, she couldn’t even find record of my car being turned in…but somehow they were able to claim that there was windshield damage? It’s now been weeks and they automatically charged my care for the damage and said if I am not found to be liable they will reverse the charge. A terrible way to run a business and that is the first and last time I will rent from them.Reviewed 19 Oct 2026

We got the 12 passenger "church van" (according to our clerk) and it was the right size for our 9 person group, I would not have wanted to fit more people in it. The reservation indicated Ford Transit or equivalent, we got a Chevy Express which is quite a bit bigger but also less comfortable. So, we had plenty enough space for our luggage and cooler for our 9 people but the seats and seatbelts were not comfortable. Driving was great, it was not hard to drive. The car rental experience at Detroit Metro Airport is notoriously horrible. It has been that way for years. Rental a car at Detroit Metro Airport is like stepping back in time to the early 1990's and entangling oneself with every weakness and setback that we have forgotten or left behind for the past 30+ years. Long lines, antiquated technology, no on line check-in, impetuous staff and high rates and fees. I almost forgot waiting outside in the freezing cold for several minutes as slow-moving buses lumber across an abandoned parking lot with dim lights. I got conned into buying insurance and roadside even though I had all of that already. I tried explaining tot he lady at the Avis rental counter in Austin that since I had my own insurance I was paying with my AMEX I was double covered but she would not let me rent the car until I bought the over priced insurance. Took my rental from being 262 for three days to 600 for three days. Complained after the experience and was told that I could not get my full refund for the insurance or roadside because they are OPTIONAL and you do not HAVE to buy them. I was only offered a 50% refund. I will never use QEEQ as an aggregator or use Budget/Avis rental ever again. This was complete dishonesty and I will spread the word. We had reserved a full-size SUV for my husband his wheelchair our luggage and all the fun things we need to travel with and there was no SUV available. Turns out there were actually two, but they weren’t ready to be sent out yet cause I hadn’t been serviced and the service guys had gone on break so we ended up waiting half an hour before we got our car after landing. We did get our SUV and they assisted us in loading the car afterwards though. When I went to drop off the car, a flight had just landed so I stood in line because there wasn’t an obvious sign that I could just drop off my keys anywhere.Reviewed 18 Oct 2026

There was only one woman checking customers in. She took at least 10 minutes or more for each reservation. No energy. Computer that looked like it was from the 1980’s.. Dinghy check in building that sits way in the back corner of a dirty property. My car was difficult to find in the parking lot since Avis cars are opposite the Budget cars. Stupid numbering system. I will never rent from Kayak or Budget or Avis again!! Nothing but Negative experience!Reviewed 18 Oct 2026
