Pick-up at 1225 Metcalf in Montreal was terrible. Poor area to load luggage. Was given no orientation concerning operating the car even when asked. Harassed by garage owner and Avis personnel. Pros:
Staff was very courteus even though they had some stress issue happening. But the lady chatted and managed two employees customers while helping me. BRAVO! They did not have midsize car that I had reserved so they put me in small SUV.Cons:
Small SUV was a less fuel efficient. So ended up filling more gas before returning. Return was quick even though it was a Sunday night 9 pm.4.0 Mediocre

We were completely lied to about the price that was advertised, our fees were raised twice for being a young driver instead of once. We have used many different car rental companies and have never had an issue. This was by far the worst rental experience we have ever had.National

- We had initially booked to pick up our car 8am on a Saturday, but we were able to pick it up the evening before (around 7pm on Friday) with no additional cost - Staff at 1200 Stanley Montreal location extremely helpful - Brand new car in excellent condition - Pick up and drop off location was booked for different provinces but extremely satisfied with the low price8.8 Very Good

I've done over a dozen car rentals in my life and without a doubt, this was the easiest and fastest I've ever had. No upselling, or trying to get my to pay for an upgrade when my reservation was out, I was driving within 3 minutes of walking into the place. They let me switch return locations by phone no hassles at all.2.0 Poor

The drop-off location was in the bottom level of a garage under a hotel. There was a door requiring a code, which I was not given, so I had to park on the street and go up to the hotel desk, who eventually sent a porter down to open the door for me. Once I got inside I found a budget office on the bottom level with the door open, but no employees anywhere to be found. After waiting for 15 minutes and not seeing anyone I decided to just leave my receipt and the keys in the car. I had not filled the gas tank and was hoping to ask the employee what the charge would be so I could judge if I wanted to take the car back out and find a gas station before handing the keys over or if it wasn't worth it, but obviously was unable to do that. Upon seeing my adjusted bill yesterday, I see that they charged me $122 for what could only have been at most 8 gallons of gas.10.0 Wonderful
