The Thrifty office was well signposted but it was a vacant, unfurnished shopfront. It was only a local mall security guard who told us that actually Thrifty operates out of the Hertz office (the word Thrifty is not anywhere), and even that is a third party company again. As a result, we have had to deal with 5 different companies to get a hire car. I suggest Kayak does not do business with Thrifty Mexico until this is resolved.

It was horrible because we didn't got a car. We were 2 hours late (what we wrote them via email) and when we arrived they told us that the reservation is cancelled and the car is not available anymore. They tried to give is another car then which would cost us more then three times the price from the reservation. Absolute horrific situation and employees.

The rental shop was closed. We waited, and called multiple times, but they never showed. This left us stranded in a foreign city. We ended up having to pay ridiculous amounts of money for taxis to get to and from our final destination, and weren't really able to explore the villages where our great grandparents were from as we wanted.

The customer service was great. I think the young lady that helped me name was Evelyn. She was very nice and professional. She answered my questions. The rental process was easy. The only improvement would be to improve maintenance on the vehicles. The wiper blades were worn out. This can be dangerous when it rains and driving in St. Thomas.

Cons:

We unfortunately had a flat battery and faulty alternator. Had difficulties trying to contact Go for a replacement car. When we found a number was put on hold for over 45 mins with no further contact. Rang breakdown service again and they followed up for us. Quite disappointed

Pros:

Customer service was excellent - all staff we encountered were so friendly. Vehicle (2016 Hyundai Tuscon SUV) was perfect for us (3 adults 1 child 1 baby and a lot of stuff!) and at such a great rate we saved at least $200 over one of the big name brands. This is the second term we've used Go Rentals now and I'd have no hesitation recommending them to others!

Pickup was bad. We were just told to sign the electronic keypad (wording small). Then we were handed keys and told to go out the door and get our car. There was NO ONE to inspect or go over the car (not the one we booked) with us anywhere! Two days after we picked up the car we received an email saying we had around an hour to take pictures of our rental and attach them. Too Late! We were not told that at the end we would have to pay extra $. The pickup guy was nice but off site due to staffing shortages. The drivers side of the car had no floor mat. Maybe that was the 200$ extra you charged us.

Your office had closed for the night one minute after I got my key. What if the car did not start??

Liked the new low milage Rav4 we rented. Not happy about the fuel sercvice charge added to our bill. The car was not "topped off with fuel when we picked it up as I found out the first time I refueled and drove almost a 100 kilometers before the gauge appeared when I picked up the car. i returned the vehicle with at least as much fuel in it as when I picked it up

New car with low mileage was a pleasure to drive The service at the downtown Queenstown location was especially good. The rate was reasonable for New Zealand.

The customer service was topnotch! She really helped us out in a pinch when we found out our reservation pick up and drop off were not at the airport(s) like we were expecting. The car was in excellent conditions, clean, and modern with its in dash touchscreen system.
