The riverside Ribeira district is a lively and colourful place to stay in Porto. Lined with waterfront restaurants, bars and shops with views of the Douro River and the spectacular Dom Luis I Bridge, the colourful buildings and medieval walls look incredible in the morning light and at sunset.
