They tried to charge me for the upgrade without me noticing. Also tried to add an extra fee without me noticing. Price for rental cars have gone up and it’s annoying as it is4.4 Mediocre

Branch was so busy. Difficult to pick up cars. Looks like they need more staff.Cons:
Was charged $200 for collision damage I did not opt into because I paid for insurance through my reservation and through my own private insurance. Will never rent from enterprise again. Had a better experience with Budget and Avis.7.2 Good

We ran around between 2 locations because no one advised the same information which resulted in one teservationnbeing cancelled and new one being created, also after confirming and leaving the office I was called back being advised I was given the wrong car and had to come back. What should have taken 30 minutes turned to 2 hour delay in my plans4.0 Mediocre

Pros:
There should be more staff on hand to assist customers. Those that were there appeared to be trying help the increasing line of people. The representative who helped me appeared to be trying to do his best under difficult circumstances.Cons:
I did not get the car I booked and the one I got had not been washed. After going through the car wash I could see quite a few dings. The inside has an odor and there is/was sand or dirt on the carpet and paperwork from previous customers. It is also out of windshield wiper fluid.10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
I paid for a suv traverse or similar and they had an equinox for us. a much smaller suv. I had to pay a $200. deposit even though I paid for the rental ahead of time. I also had to pay $20 a day extra for a larger suv (an explorer). the staff was borderline rude. I won't use them again.Cons:

Customer service was terrible. I arranged for a pick up time, but when I got there (middle of the day) the door was locked, no one was there. I called the Hertz 1 800 number and they couldn't track down anyone. So they send me to another Hertz the next town over. That one doesn't have the car size I reserved. They send me to another Hertz the next town over where the person behind the computer is pissed because I'm making her work. Then I get to wait while they clean the car. When I returned the car I got there 15 minutes before they open - that day they opened 20 minutes late. There are 4 customers there trying to get stuff done and get to work on time.6.0 Okay

I placed a reservation with Hertz on June 13th for pickup on June 23rd-26th. I decided to drop by the office on 2865 Airline Blvd Portsmouth VA the day before to check on the reservation. No one was in the office so I called Hertz headquarters. THIS OFFICE WAS CLOSED!. My credit card was charged and I was given a confirmation #. SO WHY WASN'T I NOTIFIED THAT THIS LOCATION WAS CLOSED? I had to cancel my plans because the rate I was quoted for a new reservation was almost DOUBLE what I had reserved for.U-Save
