FAQs - booking Manila flights

  • Where do I go to hire a vehicle at Manila Airport?

Hire car companies can be found in Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (the international terminals) of Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The kiosks are located in the arrivals hall of each of these terminals, and they offer a wide variety of vehicles. If you’re after a specific vehicle type, like an automatic, an SUV or a minivan, it’s a good idea to book ahead of time, through KAYAK. Not only will this give the hire car company time to ensure your desired vehicle is on site and waiting for you at the airport, but it will generally also save you money.

  • How do I get a taxi from Ninoy Aquino International Airport into Manila?

Taxis are located outside the arrivals hall of each terminal. You’ll likely see three options: blue and yellow coupon taxis, regular taxis (usually white) and metered taxis (usually yellow). Regular taxis are cheaper, generally charging around 180-240 PHP (approximately 4.80-6.40 AUD) to get into central Manila. Coupon taxis charge anywhere from 400 to 720 PHP (approximately 10.70 to 19.20 AUD) to get to various locations around Manila. There’s no surcharge for larger taxis, making them a great option for big groups. Yellow, metered taxis tend to charge around 300-450 PHP (approximately 8-12 AUD) to get into the city centre.

  • Is there anywhere quiet I can sit and pray at Manila International Airport?

Travel can be very disruptive to your routine. For those who are looking for somewhere quiet to observe their religion, there is a Christian church in Terminals 1, 2 and 3, which holds a mass every Sunday. Otherwise, the churches are open 24 hours a day. There are also Muslim Prayer Rooms in every terminal.

  • What are some of the dining options at Manila International Airport?

There is a wide range of dining options across the airport, whether you are looking for a coffee, a drink, something to grab-and-go or a full sit-down meal. Terminals 1 and 2 have cafés near to almost every gate and Terminal 3 has a large public food court where you can sit down and relax with a meal picked from one of the many different global cuisines on offer, or just sip a hot beverage.

  • Are there any shower facilities at Manila International Airport?

If you are arriving at Manila after a long-haul flight, you may want to find a place to freshen up before venturing out to explore the city. You can find shower facilities in Terminal 1’s Day Rooms, or in the Wings Transit Lounge in Terminal 3.

  • Is there Wi-Fi available at Manila International Airport?

You can find free Wi-Fi available throughout the whole airport, which doesn’t require a password or need you to sign up. The Wi-Fi can, however, be a little spotty – it’s reported to be better in the terminal’s restaurant areas or in the paid lounges.

Crews were great but food not much selection just all tailored for Asian passengers.

Too many luggages for 1 passenger (4 bags) will make all the overhead luggage bins a challenge to fit them all. Some have oversized hand carry as in like back packer size bags shouldn’t be allowed as handcarry.

plus: service and personal assistance minus: online check-in did not work

The Premium economy class is not the same as some other airlines because there are no economy seats on these planes. Basically you’re getting an economy seat that’s a little wider. The seats are not that much more comfortable. The service and food experience is similar to economy class on other Asian airlines. There aren’t enough toilets for the entire plane therefore we are forced to share the business class toilets that are closed off with curtains.

Good flight. Fiod was ready a bit late hence a hurry to finish before landing. Excellent crew and service

Good flight. The food was served a bit late, hence a hurry to finish before landing. Excellent crew and service

Great to have actual hot tastey meal on a flight. Well done

I requested an aisle seat and got a middle seat The flight gate was changed and the flight was delayed

They made me check my carry on even though there was room We un boarded in a strange way but overall it was good

Seating cramped; close to toilet, foul smelling and noisy, very unhygienic and disease risk Free and paid Wi-Fi NOT accessible at all - misleading advertising Very expensive sunglasses disappeared from back seat pouch. Coffee disgusting and cold

The flight attendants went above and beyond to make a flight as comfortable as possible.

Our flight was delayed twice and after we boarded it was delayed again as they were searching for a passenger's small bag. We arrived in Hobart one hour later.

The seats are too close together and are smaller than they used to be. Makes for a cramped experience.

Great. Airhostess was amazing. Dinner a little spicy! Could have had a mention beforehand about that though

The international flight from Sydney to Dallas had great food. I have travelled a lot over the years and this has been the most memorable in my experience so far.

Initial flight was cancelled so moved to an alternative flight. As a result, stuck in a middle seat. Flight then place in holding pattern prior to landing resulting in a very late trip home.

There was nothing I didn’t like, prices a little lower would help

BA Airbus A380 BC upstairs had 2 3 2 layout. The seat was comfy but access for those in middle or window seats had to climb over others fest to get to ailse when seats in bed mode. The layout was not nearly as private as other layouts. The staff was amazing as well as the food. Most airline food is average but this was restaurant quality.

Following a marathon flight riddled by delays and changes from Santiago, Chile, my flight to Melbourne from Sydney was on schedule but I was transferred to the next flight. The reason by ticketing and the floor manager was I missed the entry to flight by one minute! That's right, the emphasised that if I was 1 minute earlier I would be on the flight. I asked what was the point them emphasising 1minute overdue and how that helped me or the situation. They didn't care at all. Replying that if it was one minute earlier they would've done something and smirking delivering the information. Australian's do call Australia home, Qantas calls Australian's suckers.

1) crackly headphone jack 2) one of the emergency seats recline. Usually second row does. But in this case neither did 3) food was scrambled eggs or fruit. 4) fruit should not be the option to eggs 5)miserable unpleasant crew not a smile. Thought that was a virgin thing

Bad experience... Flight schedule should be on time, ours was 2 hours delayed both ways ,Mla-Panglao-Mla. Priority lane for Seniors & PWD should be practice but our Panglao-Manila flight, both priority & regular lanes boarded the at the same time, the only difference is that we were coming on 2 different lanes. It depletes the purpose of priority lanes.

Poor check in attitude , terrible food , movies selection poor, food came out cold , service terrible , entertainment system also broke so we had to use a iPad , worst biz class I have ever been on

When I checked in, there was no option available for selecting a gluten-free meal. The lounge offerings were inadequate for someone with a gluten-free diet, and the staff in the lounge were not helpful at all.

I’m 6’2” and the seats were too close together for my knees, very uncomfortable.

The return flight has been a nightmare. I am stuck in Singapore right now because PAL has not managed to resolve my return to Manila. The engine blew up on take off

Everything could better always late always rescheduled flight is worse and costs me a hotel room! The dirtiest planes I’ve ever flown on slowest to board . Just awful will never fly again with them

Boarded the plane last even while I was seated at the back and had to have my bag separate. The same exact special request meal was served as the flight an hour beforehand

The food was ordinary, this could be improved. Sleeping was comfortable enough for several hours sleep. The layover time in Manila Mabuhay lounge for 17 hours was awful. Surely I could have been given a flight to Perth within that time on another airline. At 74 years of age I find that far too long and stressful and will probably not travel with Philippine Airlines again for that reason. The food offering on board and in the lounge was also a little underwhelming. The crew were wonderful and the flight comfort was good also.

I paid for an aisle seat on my booking but for my return flight back in the US I was ina middle seat. I didnt realize this until i was already on the plane.

The flight itself was ok. However, the plane has 2 bathrooms for about 200 people. After the meal service there was a line between 10-15 people deep standing in the aisle waiting to use the bathroom. This went on for over an hour. The airlines tell us safety is their priority and to keep seatbelts on whenever on the plane but they allow a line of people to stand in the aisle for over an hour waiting for a bathroom. Absurd and unacceptable.

i liked that the flight crew noticed my discomfort with the small leg space (I'm 6'2") and offered the emergency row. The fight attendants were very friendly, a definite strength with Cebu Pacific. I didn't like the leg space in my original seating.

The seats are too cramped, there is barely enough room to shift weight. This could be easy to endure in a one-hour flight, but not more than that. The crew did not clean up shortly after meals. The tray table remained open because of the meal and ate up what is left of the little seating space. The crew were just idling by for 45 minutes before they collected the trash. The airline did not inspect carry-on luggage. Most of the passengers brought too many bags, too large and/or over the weight limit. This undermines safety and discourages those who pay extra for checked bags just to comply with the airline regulations. If the airline is not inspecting carry-on luggage, why should I pay more just to check in some bags?

Terrible, I will never ever ever attempt to fly on Cebu Pacific. I understand that it’s a cheap flight option but they take cheap experience to the next level.

The front desk and early check in was fantastic and the flight did not have any turbulence

better handling of the checked in luggage. they destroyed mine

Should’ve not separated those who checked-in online and those who checked-in at the airport

the process of paying for the excess baggage weight, the check in process and the boarding process are subhuman. this is an airline devoid of customer service

Cebu Pac has a habit of changing boarding gates. They do a lot of remote boarding. So just be attentive to the announcements, especially if it's near your boarding time.

It was a low cost flight, so no high expectations. The experience was average.

Crew was very helpful because I used a wheelchair to get around

The cosmetic condition was pretty run down. The carpets were badly worn out. Even the paint on the wings was chipped and peeled! Looks like they are running these 787s to the ground..

WiFi didn’t work on both sectors so made killing time harder - planes clean modern and good flight crew - would do again if WiFi works

6hrs fly they dont give you a glass of water from seoul to singapore need to buy drink and food plus they charge for bag on international fly is always Free 1 bag from seoul to singapore is Not a local fly you are traveling true asia same story from singapore to Bali no water drink after payment for bag drink cost more the regular airline Well never use this company again we use regular company like Delta korea japan China and even scoot parent company Singapore Air

We had 2 attempts to land at Singapore Changing during a thunderstorm. Everything was delayed by 1 hour plus.

Boarding was not accordingly after front seat, bmf then back seat. This delayed for at least 40mins or more. The staff at Jakarta can do better. Is chaos at the entry to board the plane. This tarnished Scoot reputation when everyone was talking about it.

The crew was not customer oriented at all, even confrontational . The aircraft needs more attention to detail as far as comfort, and the 1 hour sitting at the gate with no air is inexcusable

We flew on the 787 Dreamliner direct to main gate at KLIA2, quick entry via eGate and on the train 41mins after touchdown. Go well SCOOT

Was on scoot plus. The only good thing about the flight was the spacious seats. Tables and armrests were extremely dirty Food: bad Entertainment: non existent Wifi: unable to connect, then was painfully slow that we couldn’t even send messages Good thing we had a night flight, so we just slept throughout.

Not clear why boarding passes could only be issued at the counter and not through the kiosk. I had already check-in on the web, so waiting to obtain a boarding pass 1.5 hours before the actual flight defeats the purpose of early web check-in.

no charging point. food offering is limited and very much on the budget line. Overall is not satisfying for such a price and duration of flight.
