Food was excellent. Staff were well-mannered. Good information on itinerary details. Hotel had a luxurious feel to it.
Our stay was disappointed with constant miscommunication and misinformation from the hotel staff, in particular the reception staff. We were made to wait half an hour prior to checking in because the hotel had technical difficulties with our booking, being made to wait until midnight on arrival. Peter and his team at Cretan Dream Royal were brilliant - our entire experience at the hotel was perfect. Interesting fact: the hotel restaurant is very well known on the island as being one of Crete's best restaurants. I've already recommended Cretan Dream Royal to a few friends who are travelling to the island in late August.
The staff ( especially the manager Peter and bar man Manolis) all of them super nice and welcoming. Food ok not gourmet not 5 star but edible and reasonably priced. Breakfast fantastic great selection.
Our pool was dirty for several days only fixed on last day.

Location not so great
We had a private pool and our room was spacious. The location was also nice as it's near the beach. There were also some restaurants and stores nearby.
The breakfast crew was clearly understaffed during our stay so the service was not great; it was slow and they keep forgetting the drinks that we ordered. Also the hotel didn't have their own beds by the beach which they claim is due to corona but then again the other hotels/tavernas were offering them.
Amazing food, better than leaving the resort
Large comfortable room, king size bed, good air con and fan, Attractive decor.
Balcony near busy road and very difficult to cross to bus stop and beach.
Service was great from reception, cleaners, bar and food staff! Rooms were spacious and beds very comfortable.
Hot water in the shower took a while to heat up, up to 5 minutes sometimes.. We had a private pool suite but the pool area at the back was quite open with a view to the road as well.
