At pickup and drop off, we ended up going to the old Thrifty locations and had to be redirected to the Right location. Communicating that you have merged companies and local ions for drop off and pick up would be really helpful. But I’m the end, your staff at DAL and LAX we super awesome and friendly.2.0 Poor

Wouldn't take my Chime credit card after I booked online with it. Didn't have any other card so couldn't get the rental. Priceline charged me a $75 cancellation fee when I literally had no choice l. Worst experience ever being stranded at an airport unable to get a car.Cons:

Every aspect from pickup to delivery. Especially the false information that the office would be open at 5 o’clock in the morning the day of delivery and that an airport shuttle ran every five minutes at 5 o’clock in the morning and getting to the airport would be absolutely no problem. This was completely false and we had to walk 3/4 of a mile to the airport carrying our luggage and made it to our gate just as they were getting ready to shut the door. The car is extremely poorly maIntained, including one tire that had 54 pounds of air in it and another rear tire that was so low on air pressure we were afraid it would blow out and had to find air before we could get on the interstate. The lady that rented us the car spent an ungodly amount of time just Chitty chatting about everything to the point that we finally had to tell her it was 830 at night and we have been on an airplane for nine hours and had to go to our motel to save our reservation. Then what we asked her about delivery of the vehicle, the time the office opened, and the questions about the shuttle running at 5 o’clock in the morning were answered completely false and almost caused us to miss our flight The morning that we return the vehicleOne location in Design District

The first car I was assigned was not in the space as directed; then when I arrived at assigned vehicle, it was filthy on the outside, had sat under a tree and flower blossoms plastered all over the outside. I was overcharged and didn't realize it at the time. I reserved the car through CarRentals.com at a rate of $37/day. The salesman at the counter told me I could upgrade for $12/day and I agreed. I was charged $30/day more -- $67. When I turned in the car, they said they would email a receipt to me because their computers were down. I never received the receipt by email but my credit card was charged for the higher $67/day rate. I felt like the salesman was trying to upsell me. I will probably not use Avis again.7.2 Good

I confirmed the reservation in advance with conversation about the fact it was made on my behalf and where the car was to be picked up. I was assured that not having the method of payment with me would not be a problem as the reservation would be transferred to me using my credit card or debit card with a credit check. They also assured me that the car would be delivered to the airport to avoid cab fare. Upon arrival, there was no car. I called and the attendant told me she was the only one there but confirmed the car was available if I could get to their location nearly a half hour away for the pick up. I paid $50 in cab fare to get to the agency to be informed that the original card used to secure the reservation needed to be present or the reservation would need to be canceled. I provided the attendant with my confirmation conversation and he indicated that he would switch the $75 dollar rental to my name. I went through the payment process and was informed that the rental would be $380 plus a $200 deposit for a compact car for 3 days. I asked why the big jump and he informed me that it was due to no reservation and that it was a counter transaction. Naturally, I discontinued the transaction and informed him and the attorney who made the reservation that I’d make other arrangements. I picked up an Uber and had a wonderful experience. I will never do business with Hertz again and will recommend the same to my business associates and customer base using social networking, email and conversation.2.8 Poor

Outstanding customer service from Brooke and the other staff. My SWA flight arrived 2 hours late so the pick up office was closing just as I landed which prevented me from picking up my car. The airport Hertz (which was still open) did not have any cars available. The next morning I picked up the car and Brooke (who was highly congenial) didn't charge for the first day (since I couldnt pick it up) and when I asked about them not having a shuttle to the nearby airport she offered to get me ride there or drive me to the airport once I returned the car! Very classy.Cons:
