Familiarize yourself with Tijuana’s driving laws before getting behind the wheel of your cargo van rental for your safety and that of other motorists. Driving under the influence is a criminal offense, and a blood alcohol limit of 0.08% can earn you jail time; Your Mexican insurer will also reject any claim you make if you drive while drunk. The left lane or the fast lane is for passing only. You should return to driving in the right lane after overtaking another driver. Ensure that you also abide by Tijuana’s speed limits.
Yes. Renting Tijuana cargo van rentals has many benefits compared to other rentals. Cargo vans, unlike pick-up trucks, offer the convenience of transporting equipment in an enclosed space and are especially suitable for fragile goods. The spacious cargo hold in cargo vans makes it ideal for hauling large, bulky goods compared to regular car rentals. Cargo vans have a low height, a sliding side door, and swinging rear doors so you can quickly and conveniently load and unload your goods.
Yes. Those looking to haul equipment with Tijuana cargo van rentals across regions and country borders can do so, provided you inform your provider early. Car rental providers allow renters to drive to the neighboring cities of Tecate, Rosarito, and Ensenada and cross the border to the US. You must purchase liability insurance if you are going into the US. One-way rentals are also provided, but you will be subjected to one-way charges. Inquire with your supplier early on about allowed drop-off cities so you can plan a convenient trip. Most Tijuana cargo van rental suppliers do not permit driving to the Southern Mexico border and Central America.

Pros:
Only the car.Cons:
When I made the reservation it said protection was included, but at the pick up time, they charge me an additional cost for insurance at almost the price of my three day rental. It was 70 dlls more than the 28 for the rental price. Please notify this before when you announce a price.2 locations in Tijuana

Pros:
It was a nice car.Cons:
There is a $100usd non-negitiable “basic insurance” charge that I was not told about before renting the vehicle. Instead of $75 for my rental, I had to pay $175. That was rather upsetting.3 locations in Tijuana

Cons:
I had a reservation at 11am. I was late getting into town and arrived around 12:30. The guy told me that my reservation was at 7am even though I showed my confirmation email that said 11am and he said they didn’t have a car for me. They didn’t even then suggest that there was an enterprise next door I walked there after looking it up myself and rented a car there instead.9.2 Wonderful

I had to pay for an entire extra day because I didn't understand what I was being told. Really my fault because I was ina Spanish speaking country. However, they did say on the phone that there was an English speaker available.10.0 Wonderful

Cons:
Mexico has a long way to go in meeting US standards, even for US brands. No matter what you call to confirm, the extras accumulate. We reserved and PAID for a larger, newer Jeep SUV. We got a smaller, dirty, dented, old Nissan SUV. Despite calling ahead and confirming the details, they told us that despite my PLATINUM Mexican insurance, I would have to give a $15,000 USD deposit if I didn't purchase their third party insurance, billed separately, for 100% of the cost of my rental - doubling my cost. Additionally, they wanted a $1000 USD deposit - which i talked them down to $350 - also unplanned. And on return, they found about 10 hairs in the car where a dog sat on my lap for a few minutes outside my house. That was a $50 charge. Keep in mind that in Mexico, a premium car wash at a modern facility is $3-5 tops. I asked them for a brush and they refused. We then argued about the mileage, which was unlimited - he slipped a gas charge on that i had removed - since i returned the tank at 100% - filled just outside the location. Then he tried to charge for every scratch he found - which was all found on the pre rental check. It was a 30 minute return of arguing and gauging - very unpleasant and of course, you're in a rush to catch your flight.. Then he tried to tell me the charges were in USD and gave me an absurd exchange rate - 15.5 instead of 17. The rate is always in pesos - with your bank doing the conversion - so he would have reconverted back to pesos anyway. Very, very disappointing.4.8 Mediocre
