Why work from home when you can work anywhere and adventure in your free time? Forget your kitchen table home office, what about working by the beach, or being surrounded by olive groves, or living it up in a vibrant city that you can explore once you’ve switched off for the day? Here are our top recommendations, based on factors including travel prices, social opportunities and remote work.

Portugal

Portugal was ranked the all-round best country worldwide to work from remotely. Some of the reasons why it came first is because Portugal offers a Digital Nomad Visa, many locals have a high English proficiency, it’s very politically stable with an absence of violence, and it has great weather with low air pollution.
