Pros:The ticket fares
Cons:Flight Scheduling: From the time we booked the flight tickets (3 weeks in advance of travel date), we received 2 notices of flight delays schedule. On the day of the flight, after arriving at the airport - the flight again was delayed for another hour with not much advanced notice. Customer Service: - Checking in at VietNam airports were not organized. The staff does not have a functional process to accomodate customers. The entire checking-in, and boarding process were chaotic and in-efficient. Customers queued up in line inside the terminal gate to be checked in, then queued up again pass that gate to be lured onto the bus to take you to the airplane, the bus then had to wait on the tarmac for another 10-15 minutes before passengers are let out to walk up to the airplane. Each time that we queued up, they insited on checking our ticket stubs and passports - I don't understand what they are looking for by doing this?. This is occurring on both legs of the trip, so I can say that this is a common occurrence with JetStar Pacific flights in Vietnam. I did not experienced this with JetStar in other East Asia countries. In-flight service: The attendants were completely not in control of the flight service. There were people with small children crying, adults hollering at each other, people walking up & down in the isle, and flight stewards screaming in the intercom for people to remain seated to no avail. Complete chaos - I've never seen anything like this! The problem is mostly caused by the customers, but JetStar Pacific flight attendants need to have better training in handling unruly customers. In the US, some of these fliers would have been prosecuted and arrested for not complying to the flight attendants orders. I understand that you get what you paid for, and I used JetStar Pacific knowing that it's a discount budget airline segment. But - discount flying does not mean that you have to put up with all of the inefficiencies because of incompetent process streamlining. We will not fly to Vietnam or use JetStar Pacific in Vietnam again.
