Not only was the service poor and the wait times long but the vehicle that we reserved had been given away and there was nothing ready for us when we got there. The car that was given to us hadn’t been cleaned, a lower class and smelt as if two skunks had a fight in the center cab of it. This was a very strong marijuana smell soaked into the interior. We left in the vehicle so that we wouldn’t have to wait any longer since we were already behind on a property meeting that was over two hours away. We drove the entire trip with the windows down and even purchased fabreeze along the way, neither of which helped with the smell. The only thing that the location representative offered us was a $5 refund on the car for it being a different class and I spoke with one service agent who informed me that there were no supervisors for me to speak to and that the only thing that could be offered was a discount voucher for another rental. Seeing that marijuana is ILLEGAL in the state of North Carolina I really don’t want to take another chance at booking another rental from any Hertz right now until someone could at least have the courtesy of telling me that this isn’t the standard business practices of one of the largest rental car agencies in the country. I am puzzled that they are still in business.2.0 Poor

Nothing! This was the worst rental car experience... the location was closed when I arrived (despite the fact that no emails or other information listed an early close time), the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, the car wasn't clean or ready for pick up.Cons:

The staff seemed overwhelmed at pickup, drop off was a little smoother. I must say this wasn't the best experience.Cons:
The pick up started off rocky. The staff member who checked me out was complaining about being at work. When I asked questions about the size of my rental I was blown off. My car was so poorly cleaned, I had to get it washed before leaving for our trip. We also ended up driving one of our personal vehicles because the size of the rental was not as I requested.2.0 Poor

The staff took too long to acknowledge us and provide the rental car. The car was given to us with dog hair on the seats and an odor. In addition, the car was not cleaned very well, so, I took to the car to the car wash to clean and vacuum it out. There was information left behind from a previous driver.Enterprise Rent-A-Car

They gave my car away half hour after my appointment without contacting me, I called Hotwire to complain, they have my confirmation number but they could not locate my reservation number, I ended up canceling my plans.2.0 Poor

This place had a fraudulent charge onto my account. They overcharged me by changing the class size and more than doubled my cost without notifying me. This is beyond unacceptable and I had to dispute the charge.8.0 Very Good

Since I couldn't get the model that I truly wanted, I tried to get a smaller car. Unfortunately, that one reeked of cigarette smoke. As I mentioned, she was able to get me back into the original car that I requested, but that was an unfortunate situation.6.0 Okay

this reservation was cancelled.Cons:
it was not an easy thing to cancel this reservation, it took several phone calls, and the insurance offered absolutely no refunds, which is not at all ethical in our opinion. You should team with someone else for that. Will not get additional insurance through them again ever.10.0 Wonderful

The agent at the desk was not helpful BUT the REGIONAL MANAGER WAS AMAZING!!!!! The desk agent never offered ANY solution to the issue when it was discovered that a third party had booked our car at another location but the REGIONAL MANAGER overheard my husband and I frantically calling to try to get someone to help and immediately escorted us back to the agent ( who actually smiled once she knew the manager was on it) and we got our car in minutes!!!Cons:
Train your agents to understand how important making a FIRST IMPRESSION is and that it should not take the MANAGERS INVOLVEMENT to MAKE YOU DO YOUR JOB!Budget
