Long line at ACE ™️ car rental desk in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On average, there was ONE customer service representative at the desk assisting customers and if we were lucky, the second would help. The vehicle was not in the car located on the damage/receipt that would assist us in finding the car. A few clicks of the door lock, and the car was a couple spots over. I had to take extensive pictures ov dings and scratches because none was noticed on the receipt. (This is not the stress I was hoping for to start out my trip)… The trunk had rocks and small wood pieces where you would normally place luggage… The last time my wife used Ace, she was stranded and the vehicle wouldn’t go into gear. After a couple days they finally replaced it with no apology or anything… she missed the activity she was supposed too arrive for and W/O ANY sorry sir compensatory actions from ACE. It’s almost your FORCED to used a couple of companies that at there because of a lack of staff at the ABQ rental complex.

Very slow service during pickup. Only one person working the counter. One person had to come back to the counter twice, once because change oil light was on in his car and then again when he was given a different car and charged more for an upgrade. Return went smoothly for us however.

The car was fine. The hidden fees were and incorrect charges were frustrating. Probably won't rent from them again. They admitted they made a mistake but won't take any action to correct the credit card charges. I prepaid for gas to be able to bring the car back empty and still over charged me by $70. There were about half a dozen hidden fees tacked onto the invoice that literally added hundreds of dollars to the cost of the rental. Definitely recommend finding a different car rental company that is more transparent up front in regards to the total cost of the rental

Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had with a rental car. Car recked of second hand smoke, car was not checked in on time, terrible customer service. Do not recommend.

We booked thrifty via a third party so we could pay in advance and when we arrived there were so many people there to pick up a car that we were put on a wait list, only to find out they ended up running out of cars (lucky we had gone to a different place to see if we could get one, although we paid over double what the original rental from Thrifty was meant to be). The employees at Thrifty Albuquerque were apologetic and tried to help, but said there was nothing they could do because the third party companies reserve cars without knowing the amount of inventory available. Whether this is a Thrifty problem, or a problem with the rental car business (esp 3rd party) overall, I’m not sure but it shouldn’t be this way and I’ve never had this problem before, so there should be some oversight for car reservations - especially those that have been prepaid as we are now having to fight with the third party (Qeek) to get our money back.

Had to cancel the rental, with a lot of hassle because the rental counter was not open late enough. Staff to change rental was not helpful. not able to contact the local desk directly, which was a pain!!! will not be renting with you again

Pros:

staff very friendly and helpful, made the process very quick and didn't waste any time.

Cons:

the only major issue was that one of the tires of the car was severely underpressurized, and I noticed this several hours into my trip - had I not taken care of it myself, the trip could have been held up by a flat or even worse an accident could have occurred.

Overall my experience with Enterprise was a positive one. However, the car I received in Albuquerque failed to start on the 3rd morning of my trip. This necessitated a five mile walk in a light rain, and a 20$ charge to local mechanic to jump start the car. The battery terminals showed heavy corrosion. The reason for a failed start. I drove directly to Kingman, AZ and called Enterprise Albuquerque. Charlie, at your 3500 Coors NW location was immediately apologetic. Meanwhile the car failed once more. Charlie was able to get me in touch with your customer services who, in time, had a tow service restart my car. She also was able to direct me to a nearby Enterprise center. Needless to say, I was stressed by the time I pulled into the Enterprise lot. I had already lost a day and fearful of losing another. However that stress quickly evaporated because of the kindness and professionalism of Aimee Pelzer at your 3410 Stockton Hill Rd location. She will always be to me a miracle worker. It is because of Enterprise personnel like Aimee that I will continue to use and recommend Enterprise. The Nissan Sentra that I used thereafter was a flawless ride and a delight. Kudos to Kayak and Enterprise

It was a little confusing at the airport, we had reserved with Alamo but picked the car up at Enterprise. Everything else went fine. I liked the built-in navigation it made finding places easy.

I wanted to rent a car at the airport. Unbeknownst to me, Kayak and/or Priceline reserved a car but from the downtown Enterprise location rather than the airport location. This created a significant delay and an additional expense -- first, for a cab ride to the downtown location and next for a drop0ff fee to return the car to the airport location : roughly $100 in extra fees. The service people at the airport location were not interested in helping me, but the agent at the downtown location was very helpful.
