Falls short, even for a budget hotel
The location is great if you just need a place to crash in the CBD or near Southern Cross station (a 5 minute walk down Spencer St). Staff seemed friendly enough. Rooms were well laid out, in a typical budget hotel style.
Falls short, even for a budget hotel. A good, low-price hotel should still have a fresh modern feel, and have working/available amenities. Unfortunately, Atlantis doesn't currently offer this. The air con in our room was "working", but ultimately useless. Lowered the temperature in the room by 1 degree after 10 hours of use, even on maximum cooling setting. Most of the rooms in the hotel face west, so the hot afternoon sun in Melbourne is a killer without good air con. Grout in the bathroom needs re-doing. Nowhere to hang your towel so that it dries overnight. Ironing board, but no iron? Mattress fine, although certainly nothing to write home about. Pillows bad - only one per person. At least a couple of spare pillows in the wardrobe really not that hard to do.
Location / Close to public transport / Decent rooms / Friendly staffs
Bed too soft / Poor quality pillows no support / Safe not working / Slow internet / Air conditioner control not use friendly
The hotel was nice and clean, parking is cheap for a city. Easy as too find, right on the tram lines
A room upgrade with a downside.
Left luggage kept safe after my stay for 2 days.
While I was meant t have been upgraded into a larger room here was no hot water in the shower and no time to change in a meaningful way as I was only staying one night.
Good location, pretty much directly opposite Southern Cross station.
DAY STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY
Very friendly reception staff
Even though I'd booked a two night stay (in different rooms) and when I checked in at midnight, the night staff told me I could stay in the same room, they kept ringing me the next morning to see what time I was checking out. The cleaning staff almost walked in on me.....good thing I was dressed.
Excellent location for access to public transportation in CBD and to/from airport. Clean, safe and excellent staff!
Car parking - cheap, secure and easy access Location - short walk to Etihad, Docklands, Queen Vic Markets, Aquarium Rooms were fine Good view across to Docklands
Very slow wifi
Price. Close to city downtown.
Walls need some painting. Sofa has visible color wear. Internet is up and down.
the location is close to train station and is easy for us to visit the city
The wifi !!!!! spend for $20 to 3 days and even have 750MB limitation !!!! other things like slippery is not provided in hotel......
