It was a very spacious room with a private bathroom. Was most definitely worth the money and had everything that was needed. The laundry on site was nice to make use of. The Chinatown tram stop is right outside the door and the Museum train stop and the many bus stops are all a easy walk to reach as well. It's right at the edge of Chinatown and there was no issue walking to any of the places on the sightseeing list in a reasonable time. It was a great decision to stay here.

GoodFeb. 20208.0
Didn't have breakfast. Location for me was ideal, as It had a light rail station right out the front. The airconditioning was fine, the hot water was hot, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly, I arrived about 1230 and as my room was ready, I could move in straight away. This is a comfortable hotel in an old historic building, but was well presented. I will stay here again.
Only one small improvement I could suggest would be to have a small table or desk, as I quickly cluttered up the top of the bedside cupboard covering the bar fridge.

Location is great, close to trains, trams. Room is small but good.
The WORST thing is a cockroach that was found in the room at night! Staff suggested to change a room on the next day in the morning if we want to.

Quite liked the antique feeling as soon as i walked in, having the elevator outside and the stairs, especially the creaking of the floor boards added to its rustic heritage, The room i stayed in was extremely cozy and quite obviously, but necessarily refurbished for modern times, and having restaurant and bar just downstairs was extremely convenient.
I drove from the Gold Coast, with having no expectation of what to expect to what is good and what was bad, Sydney life and Gold Coast life is a little different to one another. I came with a fresh set of eyes, however for future customers, the bed i stayed on in room 213 was quite lumpy in areas, which made it quite hard to fall asleep at night. i have had lower back problems for a wee bit of time now and for what i can only assume, especially for the elderly and senior aged customers who also may have more severe back issues, it made my sleep comfortability a 5/10 when usually its a solid 8-9/10. HOWEVER, being my first time driving into the Sydney city, and being extremely overwhelmed with the city busyness, Its hard to give a round off to dissatisfaction since its my first time here but it was a daunting but humbling experience.
