Pros: big dining room with clean and convenient kitchen. it's really a great option for family with kids like our family. It is not too far from Ski school and bus stop is in front of the house.
Cons: Luggage room is quite small.
Pros: Lovely hosts, thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be back!
Pros: It’s the perfect place for a family stay and Jo made our stay so very special
Cons: Everything! Location, amenities, company, even the family pics Jo took for us before we departed
Pros: Jo was an amazing host. She went above and beyond to ensure the visit was an amazing experience for the whole family
Pros: Comfortable, clean and best of all - gracious hosts. The communal living space and kitchen is excellent
Pros: Very clean.
Cons: Wrong pricing was given and paid over booking.com at first, nothing was mentioned by owner during check-in. Upon our return to the hotel, the luggages (which were previously placed in luggage deposit area) were held back at the hotel counter and demanded for the extra payment. We were OK to pay extra, but we were being treated extremely badly! The kids were using the toilet and were being despite at for using it. We had to be sort out this matter at outdoor that is in - 3c! The kids were shiver in cold cos their shoes were wet during snow play. The owners had the gut of telling us so sorry to see u guys have to go through this, and collected payment from us. It is obviously hypocrite! Yes we are Asian, but doesn't mean we deserve to be treated as such - obvious racial discrimination. On the first day, everything was good until we check out, the friendly face has changed to devil the moment we checked out and no longer legally "rented" the place. We could have leave Mt Buller with a warm heart and a great experience if not for this. Pls note that bed linen and towels are at extra charged and you need to put up your own bed sheet.
Pros: It was a nice house great kitchen
Cons: After booking on line 1 adult 3 17 years old $320 night 1 night looking in the room there was a mattes protector and a blanket and was told if we were wanting a fitted sheet it was $10 per bed after travelling the world I have never been told this I couldn’t believe what I was hearing if you want to charge people just up your booking price to cater for it not drop your price to make yours seem to be competitive but with hidden cost
Pros: Wonderful hosts! Clean updated lodge with cleanliness and comfort at a high standard. Really happy with our stay and we will be back
Pros: This place is sparkling clean! Compared to the place I stayed last year at Mt Buller, I was above the heaven! The modern kitchen provides everything you need! The large opening living area provides everyone, include the young ones and the ones young in heart, a spacious spot to relax, chat and have fun! The most importantly, the owners are super friendly and helpful with all information you need at Mt Buller!

Pros: Great location and everything you needed in one hotel. Fabulous food options, close to ski hire, ski school and slopes. Helpful and friendly staff. Can’t wait to go back.
Pros: Hotel has good location near the ski school, great facilities especially their pool & spa. We also got discounts when hiring ski gear next door
Cons: We requested queen bed and the hotel combined 2 singles into 1. The bed itself was good but not comfortable because there’s gap in the middle. I think the room size is reasonable for the 2 of us and we don’t mind it at all. Overall stay was good until our last night at the hotel. We were kept awake because of the bubbling noice from either water tank/pool next door. It was loud and echoing in the room. We asked the staff to check it but they couldn’t find anything, we think probably it’s from inside the wall. It went all night until maybe 3 am in the morning. Not ideal when you have to check out & drive back to Melb the next day. Other than this, we were quite happy with the stay.
Pros: Location facilities food service
Pros: Loved the apartment loved the restaurant loved how close we were to the lifts a really fabulous hotel
Cons: We were put next to the kids play room and we have no kids and it was very loud.
Pros: The staff went above and beyond to make our stay everything we wanted. All very friendly and helpful even making an ice pack for my girlfriend when she injured herself on the ski slopes.
Cons: Only criticisms are. It could use gym facilities. And an elevator for older clientele would be highly beneficial.
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the Breathtaker. The staff were incredibly helpful, it’s only 100m from the ski school and everything was close, easy and accessibly. Especially with small children. We will be returning.
Pros: Clean, Breakfast included, Good size apartment, Change room and shower facility after check out.
Cons: The stairs to our room in level 5 is quite challenging for my two year old, the spa in the bathroom does not work, the distance to the snow play area is a bit far... so we need to wait for the shuttle bus every time we want to go to the village center and snow play.
Pros: Breakfast was great, a good variety, and so was dinner. The location was excellent, very close to the ski school and easy to get to the village. It was very warm and cosy. The spa was very hot but good.
Cons: There was a spiral staircase in our suite to go upstairs to the bedrooms. This was not so good for our 3 year old, we were worried constantly about her falling, and she did on the last day. Luckily she didn't injure herself. The bedrooms were tiny, as was the whole suite - so we had to leave a large suitcase in the living area, which was a pain especially as we spent a bit of time in the suite as the 3 year old didn't enjoy going out into the snow as much as we hoped, and the kids play room was okay but not super comfy / cosy to hang around in.
Pros: Loved the location, the kid's playroom, the spa, the breakfast and that it was a nice and quiet place to stay. Loved the items in the room (kitchen, cleaning equipment), the very clever heater / dryer rack for your personal items, like shoes and jackets. the fireplace / heater was gorgeous. Views from the hotel was indeed breathtaking. I was impressed by the way the hotel communicated up front, their information on access, Mt Buller entry, parking, transfer, equipment hire etc was really five star. I had quite some questions and got very timely, helpful and professional answers. Many staff members were smiley and friendly, chatty and kind which does make a great difference.
Cons: I didn't find the place to be very clean. having small kids, I had to go under the furniture for dropped items and I found stuff there that was not ours and should have been picked up with a good vacuum cleaning. The room had a heavy smell as well - as if you would want to cover smoke with some odour refresher. Also, I wasn't impressed by the lack of information at reception on the ski passes. When we asked about half day pass, we were told that they don't sell it and don't know much about it. Proactive way would have been to offer to check it for us - or even better: to know already that Mt Buller discontinued selling such tickets. while we loved the place, I find that it was very expensive and still remain wondering what did cost that much. Not convinced about value for money but it might be that just the fact that you go to Mt Buller cost you big bucks.
Pros: Great location. Very kind stuff. Breakfast. Nice rooms.
Cons: Children can use only the bubble bath (approx 2x3 meter) where the water is very hot and full of chemical and very smelly. They have a 20 meter pool what kids are not allowed to use. This doesn't really makes sense in a hotel where many families are coming with children and kids are always after pool. The food in the Loft bar is not great. We tried 4 mains and none of them was too delicious.
With a stay at Enzian Hotel - Mt Buller in Mount Buller, you'll be on the Strip, within a 10-minute drive of Mount Buller Peak and Village Center. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities.
Pros: Everything from accomodation to location to value for money!!!
Pros: The convenience, the staff were friendly and apparently upgraded us from the one we paid $180 for but is was so small I was wondering how small the original one was .
Cons: The room was small , tiny bathroom and bunk beds that were squeaky, the walls are thin and you can hear everything.
Pros: The Location was amazing. The bathroom was small but ok. The rooms were bigger than expected. Great spot to stay. Would stay there again.
Pros: Comfortable and convenient. A great location. Staff are lovely and very helpful.
Cons: Breakfast could have been a little more than simple cold breakfast. Some common hot food would be good.
Pros: Excellent, had every choice I wanted.
Pros: The location is good though the place is no longer new. You still get value for money.
Cons: The price seems to have gone up considerably for 2020.
Pros: Basic breakfast but plenty of food, fanastic location
Cons: Maybe a choice of hot and cold breakfast
Pros: Location was pretty good, it was clean
Cons: We couldn’t turn our heater down so had to sleep with the window open as it was too hot in the room. Old place
Pros: Small bunk room but light filled, nice compact bathroom. Great restaurant downstairs... best food we found on the mountain. Good wine list, etc. spatchcock & duck excellent.
Cons: Walls were a bit thin.
Pros: Central location, only 50m from Lydia's lift/snow (but the compromise is the necessity to use the rope tow to get to main mountain). Breakfast provided (basic, but adequate), good ski drying room, friendly staff
Cons: Very small room (bathroom satisfactory, but you can't swing a cat in it, you need to dry outside the bathroom or with the slide door open). Can sleep 3 people, but wouldn't advise it. As with most ski lodging, the sting is the price, which I guess is increasingly hard to whinge about if want central, but was spring.
With a stay at Mt Buller Chalet Hotel & Suites in Mount Buller, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Mount Buller Peak and Village Center. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and luggage storage.
Pros: The location was excellent with our room overlooking the Bourke Street run. There was an onsite shop where we could hire ski equipment and the staff there were very helpful. The hotel pool was heated and there was a sauna as well which was very welcome at the end of the day. The drying cupboard in the room was a bonus.
Cons: Unfortunately, as it was nearly the end of the season, the main restaurant was closed. The only place to eat in the hotel was the Birdcage cafe which had a limited selection. This was more difficult for me as I am coeliac and there were very few gluten free options.
Pros: Access, convenience & staff
Cons: view from ground floor was into popo kitchen stair so the room was a bit dark as we had to keep the blinds closed.
Pros: Large comfy bed. Good storage space. Good facilities, friendly staff.
Cons: Cupboards and room could do with an update. Bathroom tiles were cracked and mildew in corners. Blood on the bathroom door frame and switch. Not much choice in restaurant and coffee was like warm.
Pros: So disappointing. The chalet use to be a beautiful place to stay
Pros: The room is excellent , and this hotel has the best location.
Cons: It’s a 4 stars hotel and I paid so much, but this hotel has no Porter / bellboy! And the lobby itself has steps. So we have to lift up all of our heavy luggages to the front desk.
Pros: Location is arguably best on mountain. Great pool and spa and great sports shop in house.
Cons: Rooms, especially bathrooms getting pretty aged now, and “feature” bar and restaurant both closed for private, noisy functions. Got called day after checking out to let me know that I was overdue to check out that morning (ie I had already checked out a day ago).....overall, it’s not what it used to be, especially given price.
Pros: Closeness to ski lifts
Cons: High price!!
Pros: We stayed at the chalet many years ago and returned. The location is the excellent. You are a few metres from the Bourke Street Lift. You can ski in and Out. The room we had was spacious and clean.
Cons: The Hotel is now a bit outdated. It requires a bit of a refurbishment.
Pros: We liked the closeness to the slopes and village and the pool facilities (although needs freshening up). The reception staff were lovely.
Cons: We didn’t like the shower facilities! The shower curtain was half size meaning water went everywhere - not sure why one was even placed there! It was half size! Therefore the whole bathroom was soaked before you even got in. Secondly, as the shower space was so small, the clammy shower curtain had no where to go but stick on you. Very surprised and disappointed by this. We also went to the café to have dinner around 8pm and asked if they could turn down the music as it was so loud but didn’t and then sat there waiting for service but didn’t get any so left!
Pros: Location and facilities were great. Loved the spa and sauna.
Cons: The breakfast was a little disappointing. Usually prefer a self serve with cereals , toast and toppings and choice to order cooked breakfast as extra.
With a stay at Duck Inn Mt Buller in Mount Buller, you'll be in a national park, within a 10-minute drive of Mount Buller Peak and Village Center. Featured amenities include multilingual staff and luggage storage.
Pros: Very cozy and beautiful view of snow hill
Pros: Fantastic location and really friendly helpful staff - room was perfect size with great balcony.
Cons: The heater was broken and wouldn't turn off so we overheated all night, the bedside lamp didn't work, and the bathroom light switched off every 10sec which left you in the pitch black trying to trigger the light to turn back on.
Cons: The room is so small. In 4 days no one cleaned the room or even change the towels. The rental refused to stop charging me even after I’ve returned the ski equipments. The guy said that it was not allowed by the sistem computer and I should present a medical document for not be charged until the last day of the rental. Bu the way, he received the equipments back and it could have been rented for anyone. So my wife spent two days in the room having anti-inflammatories and ice on her knee but paying for the ski equipments instead. The breakfast was poor. There wasn’t a slice of cheese. The excelent iogurt was an exeption.
Pros: Affordable hotel with good facilities
Cons: Continental breakfast was basic. Fresh fruit and multigrain/fruit toast would have been great.
Pros: Breakfast simple but adequate. Dinner was great - staff very helpful for a birthday celebration
Cons: Checkin - the reception bell did not work
Pros: Room was clean, if very very small and basic.
Cons: Near end of season and the owners closed the restaurant and lounge area without notice. Breakfast was cornflakes and toast, and the remote was missing for the tv. Just... lack of care.
Pros: Breakfast was fine; space very tight. The evening meal was outstanding; great menu and fantastic service. Gear hire all outstanding. The app for Taxi service was also outstanding. Quality of rooms and the venue itself brilliant. Thanks for the hospitality. Cheers Mick
Cons: The big issue of this venue I felt was the very poor changeover option; that is as you arrived on the first-day storage and access to luggage is poor and nowhere to get changed to hit the slopes. Many people arrive early and need to change. Same issue on leaving; gear storage and changing into travel gear to get home was very restrictive.
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: The room was too hot, bathroom was tiny and the restaurant had shut for the season. The included breakfast was very basic.
Cons: en-suite was cramped-towel rail heat adjuster was in the access point to toilet No fridge in room no free internet - really heating didn't seam to work 2nd night room got cold. Breakfast toaster had to be used three times to get toast toasted auto lights on stairs activated to slow
Pros: Easy check in, SUPER comfortable beds and staff are most helpful. I was travelling alone and felt extremely welcome all over the lodge. Excellent drying room.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request).
Pros: Great location and pool.
Cons: Ran out of food for breakfast.
Pros: The Breakfast was ok, pretty basic but at least included in the price. I loved the floor heating, very cosy and the pillows were very good. The location was very good, just a short walk into the village.
Cons: When we arrived late morning we were abit unsure about where to leave our gear and the receptionist wasn't very helpful. We didn't like the noise coming from the bar both nights we stayed. There was a singer performing the first night and you could hear every word he was singing and this went on until 1am. Next night there was just loud music. All we wanted was a good nights sleep, but very hard to get with all the noise. The bathroom definitely needs updating, very 70's tiles.
Pros: location is fabulous wonderful for families!
Pros: Great location right next to Chamois. Recommend for ease of access to slopes and village!
Cons: Overpriced given the condition of facilities and comparatively to other lodges in the same area.
Pros: resturants and game room are very kids friendly
Cons: bed noisy, and bathroom tiles
Cons: The bar is too noisy, cannot sleep
Pros: Breakfast would have been great if they had supplies. When we arrived for breakfast around 7.45am there was no cereal (only one small box of weetbix) , no butter and I had to ask for milk, juice and bread which we were told they had run out. So was a bit disappointing as we were told breakfast was included in our booking.
Cons: Overall the staff, place and location was excellent but a revamp might be in order the place looking a bit tired now.
Pros: The location was great, the ski hire was very handy and accessible, and a very reasonable price. The restaurant on site provided great food from kids meals to steak and pizza.
Cons: The beds were terrible constant squeaking when anyone moved. The toilet cistern constantly leaked. And the room was far too hot & there was no adjustment available. The door lock/handle/latch was very loose. Anyone could’ve pushed our door open.
Pros: Beds are comfortable. Not a luxurious place but nice and cosy, has everything you need for a comfortable family holiday. Not wasteful. Resources used very sensibly.
Cons: Some more varieties and options for breakfast would be good. More fruit would be nice. Weetbix is always good.
Cons: Noise and Weed and Ambivalent management. Spent the night at this backpackers, unfortunately next door to a room full of bong heads who were noisy all night. No management around at all to enforce curfew (the stay at a different location), Would not recommend for a peaceful nights sleep.
