Location
Noise from construction and no access to fridge.
Check in/out went very smoothly. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
As other reviewers have noted, a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be highly appreciated.

The front desk and breakfast staff persons were both super helpful and friendly. The street walk up was "am I at the right place?" However once you enter the 5th floor it was wow!

Awesome location, five minutes walk from theMarques de Pombal Metro station, which is under the big fancy roundabout that marks the start of the Avenida de Liberdade. Also very practical for me, as I had a rental car and wanted as little to do with the infamous Lisbon city traffic as possible. I came in on the A2 from the south, merged onto the A5, which goes straight to the aforementioned roundabout, and I only had to make one turn off of that road to get to the parking garage that is like 200 meters from the hotel. Couldn't be more convenient. (This garage charges 25 Euros per day, by the way.) The hotel is located on the 5th floor of the building, and you have to ring the bell and take an elevator up to the reception area, but that was pretty easy to figure out, and once up on the 5th floor, the girl behind the counter was friendly and nice, and I very quickly got settled into my room, which was spacious and newly refurbished. The bed was comfortable, and there was a practical work area as well. Nice shower, but the rest of the bathroom was a little cramped - no matter, though, it worked out very well. Finally, in the morning I got a nice simple breakfast, which was very tasty. I will definitely stay here again next time in Lisbon!
The bathroom was a little cramped and oddly shaped, but other than that, I can't think of much negative about the place. Could be difficult to locate if you didn't pay attention, but shouldn't be a problem, honestly.

late check in, key code
Superb
late check in, key code
Very friendly and helpful staff. Quick response to questions prior to arrival. Clean premises
Bad smell. Seems to be the toilet system. At check-in being asked to sign a form about how to use the toilets gave a bad impression, along with the smell.
Very clean place and nice staff Not far from all touristic places. Excelent breakfast
Location
Location, clean place, kind staff During my stay, one day I felt extremely poor: I was given medications by the staff and they arranged for me to have breakfast in bed They also allowed us to store our luggage while we were having a last walk around the city (before departure) Thank you, you have a very good place to host guests and an extremely welcoming attitude
Absolutely modern rooms, comfy bed and very clean in the fifth floor.
Nice location, friendy staff.
Noisy, breakfast could be better, suite?. It was a normal room.
The staff was really helpful. We loved the location (great means of transportation nearby if you don't want to walk that much to the main attractions). It's near a busy working center, so we found it very safe to walk even at night. The bedroom was large and comfortable.
I thought this was a lovely place to stay. The breakfast is basic but you won't go hungry (don't expect a UK fried breakfast) it consists of fresh breads and cake-type breads, the orange juice is not fresh out of the orange but it's perfectly adequate. It's a very clean establishment. I loved the natural wooden floors. To my mind the water was hotter in the morning when you wanted a shower. My room didn't have a desk and chair but I saw others did (makes a difference if you want to work a little). All in all everything was fine you would be very hard pressed to find something at this price any better. I would certainly go back, and the staff are so pleasant and helpful.
Perhaps hotter water in the evenings - but this certainly is not a huge problem.
I really appreciate our on boarding. The people from the hotel are really kind.
Castilho House has been sparkling clean with warmly staff and breakfast with a lot of variety. It’s located next to the metro station which makes it close to the city center. Even by feet it’s only about half an hour. The only thing I have to complain about is the bed, which was a little to hard in my opinion. But nevertheless I can absolutely recommend Castilho House for a city trip to Lisbon!!! Thank you very much.
The bed was a little to hard in my opinion.
Convenient location, clean room and nice amenities provided. The lady at reception was super friendly and nice. She even left us small snacks since we were leaving very early and wouldn't be able to have breakfast.
The room was small even though we stayed in Prestige Suite. Bathroom is literary a part of the room which is not comfortable at all. I wouldn't recommend it and I would rather stay in a different hotel/guest house.
Nice Location,nice staff,clean, good Location.
Bathroom/Toilette open in-room. Very Noisy to use it.
Very clean, sleek minimalist design, but still very inviting. Bed was quite comfortable, bathroom and shower very high end. Small hotel, only 8 rooms, on the 5th floor of a larger building. Very good breakfast (freshly made coffee, breads, pastries, cheese, meat, yogurt etc) was served in a cozy kitchen area. There was also a small lounge area with a computer for guests to use. We only stayed 1 night, the last of our month in Portugal, and did not really explore the area too much, although it does appear to be more “business” than “tourist” oriented. Close to the metro, only took about 20 minutes to get to the Lisbon airport, which was very convenient. Staff was very friendly and helpful (printed our boarding passes for us). Would recommend.
Everything was fine.
I really loved the breakfast, different kinds of bread, cakes, fruits so you can choose what you like, and can't forget to thank all the workers they were so kind.
The receptionist Bea was very welcoming and helpful. The evening receptionist helped us book a shuttle transfer to the airport for our early morning departure. Since we will not be able to have breakfast at the hotel she made my husband and I a bag each that we could eat on our way to the airport. Although the hotel is situated in an old building, the hotel hallway and rooms were decorated in tasteful contemporary style. Rooms were spotless. Location of the hotel was also great! Highly recommended
A growling sound when we turn on the shower
Excellent service
A little far from historic area 40 min walking but 10 in taxi
Castilho House is a surprise. A charming place hidden in a low profile building, that offers really comfortable and clean rooms. The staff is kind and helpful and the location is very safe and convenient. Restaurants, parks and public transportation are very close to the hotel.
We liked the location and proximity to the downtown and airport We especially liked Sachina the morning staff she was absolutely great went out of her way to accommodate us with a fifteen minutes earlier breakfast as our tours were early. We would recommend this hotel to our travel agent and all our friends.
We have no recommendation at this time
Great location, comfortable room and lovely staff. The breakfast was also very good.it was all
It was all good. Will definitely stay here again
Good room, close to subway
There was a loud noise every time the water was activated.
Very nice apartment and clean, breakfast was also nice and the location was central
Everything was great. It was a real pleaseure to stay at Castilho House. Accomodation is realy nice, very clean and staff is very helpfull. Breakfast was great. It is located near center so it is very near to every sightseeing spot.
This was great value for money, staff were friendly and were great with keeping me up to date with check in and my arrival with their reception hours.
Only small thing was the mattress was a little hard and uncomfortable and it was a little noisy in the mornings. Other then that everything else was great.
The room could no way be considered to be of “deluxe” standard. It had no refrigerator, desk and chair and was small. At best it was a standard room. The clothes hanger support in the door less wardrobe was broken and on our first night the water supply stopped. The keypad lock on the main access door failed and a substitute key became necessary. The cost of €100 per night cannot be justified.
Very nice stuff, clean and comfort.
a little faraway from city center
Great hotel...clean and modern rooms, good breakfast, centraly located. Staff was so kind and helpfull!!
Thank you very much for making our 2 nights in Lissabon Great. Very Nice straff, Great breakfast, comfy beds and Nice room with beautiful interior.
Walking downtown took about 20-30min. Not so bad but after Walking around Lissabon it was a bit heavy for The legs. However, metro was close.
Quiet
Smell in the bathrooom outside that permeated the hallway
Overall a very nice experience, good location and clean, comfy stay. It is an intimate hotel and breakfast was very nice. The checkin process was easy to make on the phone, since we made it there 10 minutes after 9, but we were given the codes to enter.
Breakfast
Not enough selection for bfast. My request for a late checkout was not accepted
Very clean facility, devious breakfast, and polite, helpful staff.
Back in Lisbon after a 2-week car trip around the county, we had the most delightful stay the night before we had to say goodbye to Portugal! Only 8 rooms on one floor, we found it clean, modern, with lots of tasteful decorative touches, and very helpful staff. If we come back to Lisbon and choose not to stay in the older parts of town as we did at the beginning of this stay (glad we did that though since it was our first time), this would easily be our top choice for our base.
Everything was perfect.
Very clean and in good condition, nothing looks worn or old, very professional overall
Coziness/décor of the room and overall facility, quiet location.
Very small elevator.
If you want a short stay in Lisbon, Castilho House offers a very good location and a reasonable breakfast. I would recomment.
Pity there is no possible use of a washing machine, even if it is against payment.
Staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Very attractive room and well-appointed bathroom. Variety and quality of breakfast. Breakfast hours accommodated both early and later risers.
Clearer indyabout access upon initial arrival.
Very good location, nice staff, comfortable bed, clean room
Very small room, hard to be comfortable for longer stay. No additional utilites like kettle available in the room. Would recommend for short stay - weekend.
DANIELLE was first class .helpful in every way a prize member of staff place was excellent. price was excellent
would have liked tea & Coffee in the room
The staffs are really friendly and helpful. They paid attention to details and understood our needs.
Everything was outstanding. Excellent customer service! Recommend it 100%.
New decor, quiet, great breakfast pastries. Staff very helpful and easy to communicate with.
We had a junior superior suite which was quite lovely. However, the bed was a standard double...too small for us as we usually sleep in a king bed.
The staff was kind and the room was clean. Unfortunately we had the health problem and could not eat so much, but there was the several choices for the breakfast.
There was no refrigerator in the room.
Very nice and comfortable room, great service, very clean, good breakfast
The room was very cold as it was December The window was opened each day by e staff and when we returned in the evening the room was freezing
Location ideal and very clean
Bed too hard. Lighting poor. Not enough power sockets for dressing table and bedside units. No tea coffee provision in bedroom.
Castilho House is located at the 5th floor of a very nice building very close to Metro Marquês de Pombal. At Castilho House everything is in its place. the place is perfectly clean, with a very high standard. My room, a double bed, was just perfect. Very clean, elegant, with all the things you need: heating, a.c, tv, soap, shampoo, gel, glasses. The bed was very confortable, very impressed about that. The pillows as well they were very soft and confortable too. The toilet was super: very big shower, towels, and the water was running perfectly. I used also the heating and it worked perfectly too. The staff were very friendly, professional and very helpful. They also speak English and Spanish. In the morning I had breakfast in the kitchen of the Castilho House. There are some nice tables (the kitchen is brand new with a nice style) and the buffet had a lots of food, from fruit, salads, cheese, yougurt, cakes, bread, milk, juices, coffee. The waitress who also speaks Italian, was very friendly, professional and a very nice person. Coffee, by the way, was very good. As I travel every week in different places for work, I would like to hightlight how nice is Castilho House in every single details but also the helpful and nice staff who make the place even better. I would like to thank them for my staying there. Simply super.
Location, welcoming and staff there so helpful
All was good but the breakfast is missin only eggs
nice modern place with elevator very pleasant staff
small bathroom no balcony
Good bed, quiet neighborhood, nice staff
A bit cold and drafty, not ideally soundproofed on the inside
We had a fantastic stay at Castilho House. Great value for money. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Only a suggestion would be for two small bottles of water left in the room each day. Would definitely return and recommend this hotel to others.
found it clean
No tea and coffee making facilities and seemed very perfunctory.
wifi signal inadequate. No spare toilet paper. No power points to charge our mobiles. No coffee/tea facilities in the room.No water provided.Only 3 hangers for clothes ! Window looks out onto a concrete wall covered with airconditioning units. Our table in the breakfast room was next to the waste dustbin! No airco in that room or the "lounge". The only advice from the receptionist was that she was about to expire from heat.
We loved the location. The room was very clean and the staff were efficient and very friendly.
EVERYTHING AOK, STAFF EXTREMELY HELPFUL
THE HILL I HAD TO WALK UP TO GET TO ROOM. GOT ON VERY FRIENDLY TERMS WITH SHOP OWNER AT CORNER SINCE I ALWAYS STOPPED FOR SOMETHING TO DRINK WHEN I GOT TO THE TOP. PROBALY SHOULD LOSE SOME WEIGHT!!!!
Location is very good, the room was clean
Breakfast was quite light for vegetarians, the bathroom is very small
The staff were great, our room was very comfortable.
Need larger signage and breakfast needs to be beefed up a bit.
The staff was more than helpful. Excellent bedding and the cleanest accomodation I've ever been in!
Nice comfortable room with very efficient staff

Clean rooms, good breakfast
Location was a long way away from the all the action in Lisbon. No refrigerator, kettle etc in rooms and very poor water pressure in shower.
It was the 2nd night in Castihlo house as i booked in the same time 2 different nights/rooms apparently. Much better!! the room was more expensive just with 5 euro but much bigger and no window ...
Location, easy access to old town
There was a big window from room to bathroom and it's not very comfortable as you can see the toilet from the room.
* Very clean room * Easy access to the facility * Location! lot of buses available from close vicinity, metro stop is 500 meters away.
* The parking lot closest to the hotel charges a whopping 19 Euro per night! * Some balcony/window access could have helped. Breathing the direct air conditioning air makes you feel a bit sick.
Very clean and modern small and friendly hotel. Located on the 5th floor - however the lift is an absolute godsend. Lovely choice of continental breakfast Very pleasant staff Reasonable location ...
No tea/coffee making facilities Nowhere to sit in the room - however there was a lounge that we didn't use
Functional for short stay
No tea making facilities

Staff and lication
Good location (close to metro and Hertz car rental) and nice room (good bed, airco, comfortable bathroom).
Would be nice to have coffee/thee making facilities in room or lounge. The rooms are pretty noisy (would recommend people sensitive to this to bring earbuds). There were works going on in the ...
Nice refurbished room and hallways. Tasty breakfast and service minded staff.

All good
Breakfast was amazing, wifi worked perfectly, staff were lovely, location was central and it was so easy to get around
The place was kept clean all the time. Excellent staff service considering all the things they have to do. Comfy. Quiet. Easy access.
For rooms to have complimentary water bottles at least. There's no kettle in the rooms.
The staff was great, everyone super friendly. Very clean accomodations, great location.
The beds were very clean and comfy. The place was just wonderful, especially staff Arlinda.
I liked everything about this place.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly
Everything was very nice
Location, the design of the room
Breakfast is good
No ventilation in the toilet
Room was quiet and confortable. Staff is nice.
Difficult to get the room to adequate temperature. No drinking water in the room.
We had a lovely stay with our 1,5year old boy. A crib for him was ready. It was quiet there. Everything was there what you needed for breakfast. Friendly staff, nothing you asked was too much.
