Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely hotel, absolutely. The view from room was excellent, no need to go most famous places to enjoy Nagasaki night view. The breakfast was good. The staff was very nice. Shuttle bus once an hour from Nagasaki station is convenient (trust me you won't enjoy the way by foot).
Cons: There is no Onsen but you have a lovely bathtub in wood in your room. The only one disappointed thing was that it was too cold in the room and in the hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Truly special
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Panaromic and top view of Nagasaki Service and food
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfasts. We stayed three nights and enjoyed three different beautiful sets of breakfast.
Cons: Shuttle Bus Frequency...better to have shuttle bus every half an hour rather than an hour.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and helped us with our luggage when we arrived at the accommodation. Also, the very spacious and quiet rooms rooms looked out to a rather nice city view.
Cons: Didn't really enjoy having food cooked in the room because the smell lingered on in the room for our stay.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Authentic Japanese style room. With nice view over look the city. Traditional public bath and nice food.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great location & view!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It’s perched on the top of a hill overlooking the whole harbour - the views are mesmerising and worth every ten. On top of that, the room was spacious and calming, and the staff were simply lovely: kind and thoughtful and attentive. It was an amazing experience!
Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.

Excellent 10.0
I stayed here for three nights. It’s a small very warm and friendly place. The beds are really comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is close to the station/bus terminal and walking distance to all the sights. I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was amazing! The staff is super friendly and they speak English :) They can give you recommendations about what to do in Nagasaki. The small cafe that they have in the first floor is so cute and delicious! The muffins, sandwiches and cookies are beyond good! We were very lucky me and my friend were the only guests that night :) Just to let people know, if you are traveling with a huge or heavy suitcase it's gonna be difficult to take that to any floor, because the stairs are kind of tight and inconvenient. However, we just travel with a backpack and we didn't have any problem.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lovely, intimate vibe and friendly staff. Breakfast sandwich was delicious!
Excellent 10.0
Their place is quaint and the hosts are excellent. It's clean, quiet and walking distance to the station and 26 Martyrs.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast sandwich and soup and delicious, and if you’re leaving early in the morning they will make a packed version for you. They even included a very thoughtful note with mine. The cabins are comfortable and have a good amount of space for storing your bags. Everything is kept very clean.
Cons: The only negative was the light pollution - the sliding plastic doors to the cabins let in light both from outside, and from other cabins. On my last night some of the other guests left their lights on all night long, making it difficult for me to sleep.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great breakfast ❤️ great staff and location.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very cute
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good location. Walk from Nagasaki station about 10 minute, Staff very friendly and take care. Room very nice and Clean. Many facilities in our room:))
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff is really friendly, the sandwiches are very good and their recommendations, in drawings, are a must to follow.
Cons: It is too bad that the doors don't go all the way to the floor and the ceiling, but I must say it didn't trouble me, I had an excellent sleep.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It's listed as a family room, but it also works for groups of friends. The location was perfect, located a few mins walk from the station. It's located in the basement, so there's a private entrance. The beds were comfortable, and the divider in between gives a decent amount of privacy for both sides. The staff was very nice and there's a whole cafe on the second floor. The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking and there's a big dining room table which was really nice.
Cons: You have to climb a bit of a hill to get there, so be prepared when carrying heavy luggage. The toilet is located across the hall from the main room, which is only a minor inconvenience. Also, the shower has a kind of rustic feel, but overall it was a nice place to stay!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: A warm welcome awaited us in this cozy hostel. Located only minutes from the Nagasaki railway station, and trams, we found it well positioned for our short stay. The staff were lovely and helpful, offering suggestions as to how to see the city in a short time and also recommending restaurants, including where to try the famous Nagasaki Champon noodle soup dish. Yum! Our room was located below ground level. It was basic but clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The space was apartment size with two bedrooms, each with beds to sleep three. There was a kitchenette, dining table, couch and the shower room had a washing machine, The toilet was located outside the room, which was a bit weird but fine.
Cons: The toilet being located at bottom of stairs from hostel's front entrance.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Master's smile.
Cons: The bathtub wasn't usable.
Good 6.0
Pros: For one night its bearable as we are not fussy. Met the charming and friendly landlady in the morning
Cons: having to pass by graveyards to reach our property, but than again we realized the graves are everywhere in Nagasaki since its the city that was effected by the atomic bombing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: They send me a web with a detail map of their guest house. It's really really helped me so much. They waited for me to came around 8 pm😭 and then one their staff came to in front of my room and greeting me. They even greeting me with Bahasa Indonesia. I'm really happy😭 They even asked me when will i'm gonna check out. They have good books!
Cons: I just surprised that i have to pay 100yen for rental towel😂 but it's not a problem!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good location (especially if you arrive by bus from Shimabara Penisula), trams are near; the room was nice and very cozy
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owner is very good. It’s just like homestay.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: It’s good that they send you the map link on how to get to their place so you wouldn’t get lost. The property is near a shrine where you can go and visit. They also provide free toast, coffee or tea at the common room for breakfast. They provide parking space with payment fee but please do check and inform them first so they can arrange it.
Good 7.0
Pros: The room looked nice. Access to fridge and cooking implements. They did our laundry completely for only 500 yen. Good shower. Very nice owner and his wife.
Cons: The walls were thin, so our loud neighbors at the hostel kept us awake until late. The building was drafty, badly insulated. The lighting kept randomly fluctuating.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Owners were very friendly and accommodating when we asked if we could check in a little late. The location, although a little hidden away, is 5 minutes from a tram stop so super convenient. Very pretty garden on the outside and clean, decently comfy rooms.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very family-like accommodation. Owner and his wife shared one evening with us talking about customs/culture and it was very lovely and most informative. Surrounding of property is very nice. Both owners have good English (especially for japan). Its less than 20mins from train station of foot (lil bit over 30mins with loaded backpacks).
Cons: Its kind of harder to find (check mail/messages - owner sends good guide that we have missed until next day).
Excellent 8.8
Staff are super cool and very helpful. They provide me with all information I need. Good Hostel if want to meet other travellers.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: very welcoming and helpful host. As I was clueless about my next trip in Japan, I got helped by the owner on next destination. Cons: Nil

Good 7.0
Pros: The room was big and confortable.
Cons: I didnt like the breakfast. It was not tasty and very expensive. It said it was a buffet but it is not. You can choose between japanese and western style breakfast and they bring you a tray with food. I choose western style breakfast but it was not tasty at all. I wanted to cancel the breakfast for my second day but they didnt allow me to do that. Very dissapointing.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice space room, car park directly under the hotel, great breakfast. Reminded me of a Marriott-like hotel but at a much more affordable price.
Cons: Loved the hotel but there are hotels closer to the restaurants and bars. Saying that, it’s only 10 min walk so not so much of a negative.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The main lobby was very clean and well decorated. Room was good size arrangement.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Perfect location, parking, view, good breakfast and super friendly staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Huge window with wonderful view.
Excellent 8.4
Property location is central but looks dated. The tram and bus stations are at the hotel’s door step. The hotel is big with a number of restaurants. The rooms are of a good size. However, our room had some food smell when we checked in. The hotel staff just asked us to use the spray in the room to freshen up. They should have done more. As there were 3 of us in the room, the hotel provided the extra bed which was quite uncomfortable. Perhaps they can improve on this, find a better alternative
Excellent 9.7
It is great Hotel. Kind and classic.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Big room, not a pre-fab bathroom, good view. Combini in lobby
Cons: A bit far from everything, but still walkable from train station. There is a team stop in front of the hotel, but you have climb stairs (overpass) to reach it.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Words are not able to describe how great the whole experience is for my family and i in this hotel! It is so great with the Traditional Experience superb spacious room! Free Yukata and Onsen Bath, great breakfast with magneficient view from top of the mountain! It will be the best hotel with this view in Nagasaki! Most friendly staff with great manners! The price is so reasonable for the facilities and experience given to us! Will intentionally go back to Nagasaki just to enjoy this hotel for a few more nights!
Cons: Only the road up to this hotel may be a hassle for tourist without their car, we have a car so it is completely fine!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Our room was quite big for just two of us and when we came back from dinner, our futon was already made for us to lay down and relax. We paid for a room that included breakfast and dinner. Dinner was traditional(has sashimi) and tasted good and healthy. Breakfast was a buffet style with traditional Japanese food and western food combined. The night view of the city from the room was very beautiful and onsen was free for hotel guests.
Cons: You have to drive a steep hill to get to the hotel but they also offer a shuttle service from Nagasaki train station. Some old stains on carpets.
Excellent 9.6
Definitely great value for money to stay at this hotel if you are driving as it’s located up in the hill with breathtaking views of Nagasaki city which we could enjoy even at the outdoor onsen! Our family of 6 aged 10 to 81 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We love the 80s nostalgia and the wide breakfast buffet spread (Japanese and western) and oh the pastries! They were heavenly! And the hotel is a short drive to all major attractions and shopping. Will come back.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great view from the top of the mountain.
Cons: Staff doesn’t speak English.
Excellent 8.0
If you self drive like us, you are advised to reach hotel before dark as the road to hotel is super narrow and steep. Initially we thought we came to the end of the road, later just realized the hotel is further uphill. Guess it is the highest hotel in Nagasaki, all rooms have the spectacular million night view of Nagasaki. Mount Inasayama is just opposite to it. The room is very spacious and clean though it is a bit old. The breakfast buffet is fantastic and there are lots of variety of Japanese food and Western pastry.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice breakfast. Breathtaking view from my room and space in my room.
Cons: Driving up the steep road leading to the hotel.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: near the station
Cons: slow internet
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The location is great. 10 minutes away from the peace park. Lots of restaurants near by.
Cons: The rooms look nothing like the pictures. The rooms are definitely outdated. There isn’t enough room in the room to move, it’s like a cube. It has no personality to it.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The convenient place to stay and clean property. Worth for the money 😊
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was absolutely unbeatable! Right across to the station, bus stop only a few steps away, entrance to the overpass for passengers is right at the door, a mall nearby and two convenience stores on each side of the hotel. The breakfast was healthy, balanced, and tasty.
Cons: The breakfast ended too early (9.30) and the check out time was also early (10.00).
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Big room, nice facilities and friendly staff
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location is really good.
Good 6.0
Great location (opposite the Nagasaki station) but the room is dated and the bed and pillows was very uncomfortable.
Excellent 10.0
Very close to JR Nagasaki, room is tidy, value for money
Excellent 8.4
Hotel is opposite tram, bus stop and JR station. Convenience store and restaurant around the hotel. Room is adequate size with comfortable bedding and strong shower. Breakfast is generous with plenty of choices including some western choice. Not the cheapest option but a very convenient and comfortable hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Very convenient for traveler in terms of transportation, dining and sightseeing
Excellent 9.6
Ideally located just across the JR Nagasaki Station. Good value for money with very good breakfast buffet ..
Excellent 8.0
If you are driving, the nearest parking is a slight distance away. The hotel does not have its own car park area.
Excellent 8.0
Love the location next to tram stops and jr nagasaki. Staff was friendly. Check in was convenient and automated but please remember to ding bell if checking out early as the staff would still need to know (we forgot! Sorry for the drama!). Room was quite small but clean and functional. Seems to have an automated and sustainable theme going on but we can't control the heating/cooling in our room so had to resort to leaving the window open... There's a coin laundrette and dryer as well with coin change available at the counter
Excellent 8.8
very good location with acceptable price lawson and family mart are just nearby 強棒麵 and many other restaurants within 5 minutes walking
Good 7.2
Convenience location - hotel is literally short walk away. I travelled by bus to and from the city. Tram stop right outside. Not the most modern but is comfortable for a sort stay.

Good 6.0
Pros: Nice classic hotel with big rooms and nice amenities but the cleaning was bad. In the bath tub there was still a bunch of hair left which is always off putting. Also the location is quite far out of the city center, and there is nothing at all in a walking distance. You need a car to enjoy your stay.
Good 7.0
Pros: 'old English' style hotel, with lots of Christmas decorations and lights. Entry is really stylish.
Cons: The location of the hotel is a bit far from the centre though not too far from the Atomic bomb museum.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The furniture was fantastic and the hotel was decorated very nicely.
Cons: The room door was a little difficult to unlock.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The inside is very nice. It’s mainly a wedding venue it seems with wedding meal rooms on each floor. The room was nice and confortable.
Cons: It lacks a bit in term of convenience in the room (eg: few outlets) or extra features (eg: bath).
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very english-looking hotel, room is considered big by japanese standards, clean though a little old. Staff were all very polite and courteous. Parking is free!
Cons: none.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: the decor is unique and the room is very posh and roomy.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Quaint and reasonably spacious. Staff was polite. Nice amenities.
Cons: We left the window open and it was a bit noisy at times from the traffic

Excellent 8.8
Pros: It was a little run down, but it didn’t bother us. They had parking for ¥1000 which was very helpful. The breakfast was very good. We’d stayed at an expensive ryokan, and the food here actually tasted better. They have a bath house on 5th floor.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Awesome to look out the back window to see the temples behind us. Loved hearing the bell tolling at the temple. Loved walking down the little street past little restaurants to the train station and department store.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff, the welcoming and the leaving, the breakfast was great, the room was big and with 2 bathrooms, the shared bath on the last floor was perfect. Great location as well!
Cons: Nothing to say. It was a perfect stay.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The location was really close to the train and street car station and so easily accessible to touristy sites.
Cons: Some of my family found the traditional bedding a bit uncomfortable which is why I rated the comfort as only good.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Authentic Japanese style sleeping arrangements as well as an onsen. Delicious Japanese breakfast.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Close to train station, good breakfast
Excellent 8.5

Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very close to museum, comfortable rooms when you pick up a second shikibuton ( mattress futon) Nice owner
Cons: The breakfast was not much , continental style like, but for 500 ¥ I suppose it is ok ;-)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location is very central to Nagasaki, on a quiet street but within reach of good restaurants, close to the train station and to local shrines and museums. Fujiwara-san was very hospitable and helpful, and set us up with a list of local restaurants. The building is modern on the outside but beautifully traditional on the inside.
Cons: Really, we had no complaints. It wasn't cheap, but quality deserves to be paid properly.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The ryokan is fantastic & the owner, Mr fujiwara is really nice, helpful & a wonderful person. He is really dedicated to his ryokan even though he is getting old & its just just amazing. By far my favourite accommodation so far in japan.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location is good, not far from tram station (a bit walking uphill, though). Room is comfy, practical size for a group traveller. Mr. Fujimori san is super nice. Though he doesn't speak fluent English, he tried to explain things. When we arrived, we found him sit in front of the hotel (as if he's waiting for us). Then he led us up to the reception and managed to get our luggage upstairs (as we left for a day tour in the city). One thing to mention about him is that he wrote to me one day before the check-in date asking if I still come or not and few days after check-out he wrote again asking if I arrived home safely. This is so touching :)
Cons: No elevator. If you have big luggage, it might be a bit inconvenient. Boiled water stops at 11:30 pm. If you plan to stay up late at night, shower must be in the next morning.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Nice place, like home, very Japanese home stay experience Host is very nice!
Cons: not very near station, but it's quiet place, so it's acceptable! if carrying luggages, be prepared for the steps to the room.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent everything. Good service and friendly. It feel likes my home.
Cons: None.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fujiwara Ryokan is about 4 minutes walking from the closest streetcar stop and 10 minutes from Nagasaki station. I booked without breakfast and had two different japanese style rooms with shared bathroom and toilet. Both rooms were in very good condition, very clean and spacious with a porch separated by sliding doors where one can hang clothes and store luggage. But most of all I cannot praise enough the hospitality and friendliness of the people that own and run that place. They have made me feel most welcome and at home.
Excellent 10.0
If u want to have a different experience in Nagasaki, please choose this place. Though it will be different from hotels, but it's impressive to me.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A lovely, quaint Japanese Ryokan run by a gracious and extremely friendly 'older' gentleman. Situated in an excellent location between the hubbub of the Nagasaki Station area and the bustling Chinatown. The traditional Japanese accommodation was both comfortable and spacious.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
nice place to stay if you want to experience an authentic Japanese home .Tatami floor & fotun for a bed. Mr. Isamu is a gracious host. Saw to it that his guests are well attended. Welcomed us with hot tea drink, which is a welcome after being out in the cold.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location is excellent - across from the (new) train station (that is being built in Nagasaki) AND right next door to the bus station (this was the shortest distance I have ever had to walk to my hotel after arriving in a city!); I have stayed in many APA hotels in Japan, so I know what to expect - that is: cleanliness, good facilities and amenities - BBC World Service, huge TV screen, microwave and laundry (2nd floor); the bath is deceptively comfortable (looks small, but is not when you get in it); 4 (clothes) hangers in the room; check out = 11...
Cons: I did not like the fact that the window does not open - no fresh air; I had asked for a room with some kind of view - sadly there was a wall directly in front of the window, but you could get a view if you turned and twisted your head; having said that the amenities are great I did have to ask the hotel NOT to provide a new toothbrush, razor, hairbrush every day (let's try to be more EF / eco / green...)...
Excellent 8.4
There is a huge tv, but bath room is very small. It was different to use.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location
Okay 4.0
Pros: Staff are nice. Even though they do not talk much. Location of the hotel is great. Right next to bus terminal and in front of the train station and AMU plaza Shopping Center. They kept my bags not only until the check in time, but also until I headed to the airport after check out. They storage it for 4 h.
Cons: Old and too narrow. There was a spot in the cover of the pillow from the beginning. They did not change the linen after the first night. The toilet was a bit dirty. That is to say, staff cleans it very well but there is mold in some areas and the bath fan and air-conditioning of the room had dust everywhere. I believe there is a lack of maintenance in the entire property. Ah! Before I forget, the smell in the room was not nice.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very close to the station and a convenience store is also close by.
Good 7.0
Pros: The location is good very convenient
Excellent 10.0
We stayed just one night, but found everything super handy and the beds and pillows allowed for a great night's sleep. Rooms are cozy but very well equipped for the small space.
Excellent 10.0
good
Excellent 8.0
Not far from Peace Park. Easy access to train and tram.
Good 7.7
Pros: Location and price. It was very good accommodation just to have a place to sleep over. Staff was very nice too. Price is very reasonable. For price I paid the place is more than what I expected
Cons: Smoking floor was very stink in room and the floor for non smoking guest, glad I had diffuser and oils to Pirify the air!

Good 7.0
Pros: Although the check in was a little surprising with all the rules told in a bit dry manner, I didn't stay on my first impression and actually had good interaction with the family. The bed and pillow were comfortable, the fact that I could prepare my breakfast was a plus point.
Cons: The room was facing the road with heavy traffic and therefore very noisy. I hated the metal door, heavy and noisy too. No very keen about the brown wood with no decorations, quite dark with dim lights. I also would have liked a kettle in the room as several other people mentioned. The bath got problem on my second night but the gentleman fixed it, not sure how it would have been if the guesthouse had been full.
Good 7.0
Pros: Quiet room in a lovely area, friendly staff, comfortable bed.
Cons: I wasn’t that keen on handing my key in every time I went out but I did get used to it, so no big problem. Again, not keen on Hot water only being available a few hours a day , though it didn’t actually cause me problems. I definitely would have liked a kettle in the room, or free hot water in reception for making drinks. I enjoyed my stay, but just feel it wasn’t really value for money - I’m paying less in Hiroshima for a full apartment with endless boiling water and a shower in the room and a TV than I paid for a room with occasional hot water , no shower and no TV in Nagasaki.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was the biggest I've struck in two weeks in Japan. The location was only 50m from the tram station that had access to the train station and also the southern suburbs. Owner was extremely helpful with directions, restaurants, and general information, and he spoke very good English. Also they sold daily passes for the tram system. Private onsen on each floor was great.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Wet room on each floor with good sized bath and privacy. En-suite in room
Cons: Room too minimalist, including nowhere to put cases, no drink making, no cupboards or dressers. No laundry facilities
Okay 5.8
Pros: It’s location was ok
Cons: That there was allocated times that you could shower, the curfew and the tiny lift that we could barely fit in with our bags.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staff were very accommodating and also helpful giving us tips and warnings (since we visited when there was a storm warning).
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Lovely, healthy, filling breakfast prepared lovingly by hostess. Near two major attractions.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast buffet. The view of Nagasaki from the hotel is spectacular. We were given hand sanitizer at check-in. The area around the hotel was nice, and 15min walk to Nagasaki station.
Cons: Onsen was rundown.
Excellent 10.0
We stayed here for 2 nights last Christmas, and the hotel was fantastic. The onsen was very nice, the view from our room, absolutely stunning, and the buffet for breakfast and dinner was expansive. I would highly highly recommend this hotel to any traveler or family coming to Nagasaki.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Everyone in the hotel are really nice and always wanting to help you have a better stay, the views from the hotel both day & night are beautiful since the hotel is located in a hill 1.5 km from the Nagasaki train station. The hotel has a shuttle service to and from the train station the shuttle schedule when I was staying there was 8:10-9:10-10:10 - 17:00-18:00-19:00
Cons: The hotel is not bad, the rooms were to outdated for my taste, the beds are nothing special so don´t expect a great night sleep, the bathroom area was ok. If you miss the bus shuttle to the hotel you will need to pay a taxi (around 1,500 yen) to take you there. The hotel is so far up the hill that there is only one way up and down by foot and that one is quite a climb, I don´t recommend you take this route unless you have no other option, you have to climb around 15 minutes or 300 stairs approx through the local cementary (the path will take you in between hundreds of graves) so if you find that creepy (speccially at night when there is pretty much no lighting on the path) you need to take the shuttle or call a taxi from the hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: we arrived by taxi, and the lady that greeted us was full of energy and welcoming helping us with our luggage from the taxi, the magnificent view from our hotel is so beautiful, the free shuttle to town, the wonderful wonderful sumptuous dinner very satisfying
Cons: none
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Fair price
Cons: The room is a bit old but good overall. The only thing we dislike that it's a bit far and locate in the mountain.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Food
Cons: Parking space limited
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Good view, clean room, delicious food! Nostalgic feeling for Japanese people.
Cons: Nothing
Good 6.3
Pros: View point
Cons: Time for breakfast should be more 7-10am. Check out time very fast. Should be 12.00am.

Okay 5.8
Pros: The reception area was very nice. The staff were lovely. I have family who live next door so it was very convienient to stay here.
Cons: The first room we stayed in was a Japanese style room. The room was lovely with a bay window and lovely view of Nagasaki. However, the tatami mats were old, some were stained and they were different sizes and types. The duvet covers also need to be changed. There is a fitted sheet that is put over the outside of the duvet covers. The covers are old, outdated and look like they need a good wash. The pillows also need to be changed. The second night I requested to change to a Western-style room. We were given 2 single beds, they were small and hard and the corner where the beds are smelt musty. I barely slept. We paid approx NZ$550.00 for 2 nights. That's good money and I would have expected the accomodation to reflect the price. I would not stay at this Hotel again. I can't understand why Hotel Nagasaki charges approx $270.00 per room. It's very over-priced. The breakfast was o.k. The view is lovely.
Good 7.5
Pros: The view is great, overseeing the harbour of Nagasaki, large room, got a great souvenir for foot massage
Cons: Our room was assigned on 5th floor, which is the lowest floor of hotel rooms, worst thing is there’re trees in front blocking part of the view which is an unpleasant experience, it’s not matching of description when I made the booking and for the purpose of what I paid for room with city view, the view of lobby is better than rooms. Onsen is rather simple with only one pool available. Staffs were fairly good with limited English communication.
Good 6.7
Pros: Decent place, great view
Cons: Not enough detail about location... up in a high hill, not really walkable even though close. Shouldn’t have to pay ¥1400 for private onsen, should be included in cost.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The staff was very helpful even they cant speak english well.
Cons: Breakfast should be more option

Excellent 8.0
Pros: good breakfast on the top floor
Cons: room is a bit small
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Very friendly service, even with limited English. Good location near the railway station. Quiet and comfortable.
Cons: The place looks a bit worn out and the duvet not impeccably clean as you get used to in Japan (the sheets were clean though)
Excellent 8.0
But there is no remote for TV.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Room was bigger than Japanese standards, and the location is very convenient (5 minutes from Nagasaki station)
Cons: The hotel is a bit old fashioned, but if that doesn't bother you is fine
Excellent 9.2
Pros: It's a typical Japanese business hotel, but it's in a great location for exploring Nagasaki. They give you a clean Yukata and towel everyday.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Easy to find, very good location. Within walking distance from the train and bus station. The surrounding neighbourhood is quiet and there are an abundant of restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable; the bedding was just right, the bathroom was kept clean, and there were sufficient supplies in the bathroom for the one-night traveller. Overall, a very nice stay.
Cons: No real problems with the room, however if you are choosing the "smoking room" option and you're not a smoker, be ware the scent is very strong and lingers in the bedding. Since I chose it (non-smoking was not available at the time), I cannot complain about it.

Poor 1.0
Cons: The staff charged me almost triple the regular price because we had 3 people instead of two even though it was a twin room and it was the same damn room that we were going to stay in basically high way robbery. The staff were rude about it. Also I had Japanese friends that did the same thing and they didn't charge them extra they are racist as hell do not recommend.
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Great location if you want to see the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum and the Peace Park. It’s literally across the street.
Cons: Although it states “non-smoking”, the room reeked of cigarettes and left me breathless all night. Couldn’t get the smell away and left the hotel feeling and smelling like I inhaled a carton. Bidet on the toilet didn’t work.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Menu is good. Location is complicated.
Cons: I booked non smoker room. But Hotel wrote that it tried to set the room as much as possible free from smoking. But the room smells totally of smoking. Not only our room corridor smells of smoking. On the first day Night Wear was not there but on the second day it was on the bed. I ordered no cleaning but the room was cleaned. Until 9 O'clock is the breakfast time. At 9:07 we were instructed to go out the breakfast room.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location
Cons: Room was non smoking but clearly the previous guest(s) had smoked in the room. But it was okay we only stayed for one night
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: Location
Cons: Customer Service
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The perfect location
Good 7.9
Pros: Bigger rooms compared to other hotel rooms in Japan.
Cons: The corridor going to our room has no light.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Big room
Good 7.0
Pros: We loved the location of this hotel. The streetcar stop is just a few blocks away and the peace park is right next door. The staff were extremely helpful and spoke basic English. The size of the room was acceptable for the price paid.
Cons: The bathroom in our room had a terrible smell. We could not even use the bathroom without holding our breath. We also noticed a pretty strong musty smell in the hallway as well as smoke in our room at times. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and we had trouble sleeping on it. The television in the room came with very few channels, and the "free wifi" signal didn't reach our room so we couldn't use it.
