Excellent 8.0
Pros: We arrived earlier and they let us checked in 15 minutes before 3pm. The view from the room was magnificent specially at sunset. The staff of the hotel are comfortable to talked to. Room is spacious and have a beautiful toilet. You can use bath privately at the second floor without reservation. Just go and see if its available. Breakfast and dinner were served in a private room first floor which is good specially in this time of pandemic. They even prepared a bassinet for our baby. Staff gave us free champagne after finding out that we were there to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We were very happy. Thank you very much specially to Rica san :)
Cons: Our room was very hot the moment we arrive until night time. I wasn’t able to sleep comfortably. It will be great if they put happy anniversary message on the cake we ordered.
Good 6.3
Pros: Good location; good sized dining rooms, bedrooms, walkways; large food portions; friendly hospitality
Cons: Algae in the individual tub onsen; dirty table linens; rooms feel less than clean.
Excellent 8.8

Pros: The staff was kind and very understanding.
Cons: The staff patience.
Good 7.9
Pros: we go for the Suzuka Circuit, which is 7 minutes from the hotel by car, very easy to access.
Cons: the noise from the air-con unit on the M/Floor made some noise during the sleep time.
Good 6.3
Pros: The bed is comfortable!
Cons: The toilet door is dirty! The restaurant ‘s mat is old, seem dirty!
Good 7.6
A very old hotel - still using key instead of key card to open room door. So you can imagine how old the hotel is. Location is very far away from train station. Bumpy route along the way from the station to the hotel is a torture. Can't imagine what would happen if raining.

Platon Hotel Yokkaichi is conveniently close to the station and has lots of tasty izakaya and restaurants nearby. At a low price, it's satisfactory, but the rooms, furniture, and bed are all quite old.

The hotel is pretty standard but it has everything you need. This room was easily the smallest room I’ve seen in Japan but worked perfectly for an quick overnight trip. The location is extremely convenient as it’s only a five minute walk to the train station and multiple restaurants.

Excellent 9.2
The ryokan is located a bit far from town but nearby is well-equipped with drug store, restaurants and and supermarket. It's good in a way that there aren't too many people in October so one can actually relax and won't be disturbed by crowds and such. Transportation is arranged between the ryokan and the station, which is very helpful. There are also staff that can speak English, Chinese (mandarin) and Japanese, which is essential for tourists that can't speak Japanese. The ryokan isn't a huge one but beautifully designed. There is a small public bath, also private bath that can be booked everyday. Food is amazing. Great for traveling alone and wanting some lone time.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast was delicious. It was served in a small restaurant area and was a set Japanese breakfast (not a buffet) based on fish but with salad too and some other items such as noodles. I especially liked the small fish grilled on burners on the table, but my wife didn't like the fish bones! There was some smoked salmon with dill, which was a treat! Dinner was a kaiseki meal in a private dining room. The first night we sat on the floor, Japanese-style, but at breakfast we had low chairs which were easier. My wife asked if we could have those at dinner the second night, and they did that for us. It was much easier! There was a great view of the sea from our room and a small balcony to stand on. We also had a free shuttle ride to the train station when we left.
Cons: The room was spacious but in need of some redecoration. We had hoped for a bigger balcony to sit out on.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The receptionist is very kind. Called us to say that the view outside was really nice-sunset time. Stars at night from our balcony view are great! The private dinner was amazing! Authentic Japanese food until breakfast. :) thank you!
Cons: Tatami area is a little dusty and balcony can be cleaned.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hospitable and kind staff! Sea facing location! Facilities include onsen too! And gorgeous seafood!!
Cons: Nothing!
Good 6.3
Pros: Great 16plates Japanese fish and seafood meal in half pension included - nice small hot spring bath. Generally good before flight from Nagoya.
Cons: Establishment not so well located and requires refurbishment

Poor 1.0
Pros: nothing.
Cons: everything.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: It was so close to the beach! The smaller Dolphin Beach can be seen to the left, just across the street, and further up to the right is a surfer beach. A very short drive down the road, and you'll be at the main beach. All great choices. The futon beds were super comfortable, and the tea and hot water in the room were a nice touch. There is also a small fridge, and a small lounge area in the room where you can sit and enjoy the view of the ocean directly across the road. The Onsen bath and shower room were amazing. Once in the shower room and all cleaned up, be sure to take the spiral metal staircase up one more floor to the outdoor open-air bath. It was really lovely on a starry night. You can wear the cotton yukata and slippers provided in the room and go directly to the Onsen and showers in comfort. This is a truly old-school Showa-era establishment - not much English, some chintz in the lobby and older furniture throughout, but it's all part of the charm. There's a Family Mart a short walk away where you can stock up on snacks, noodles, beer, etc... Enjoy!
Cons: All good for the property itself. The road out front is quite busy - take care when going for a walk, or when you pull your vehicle out to leave the parking area.
