Okay 5.0
Pros: The B&B is well located by the sea, breakfast was good.
Cons: I booked a single room which turned out to be extremely small unfortunately, there was just room for the bed and no much else. This affected my stay, especially as there were several rainy days and spending them indoor wasn't pleasant in such a tiny space. I believe the other rooms were larger and therefore fine.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Easy to find and well located - a short walk to the town centre and with the sea, lido and promenade just across the road. The hosts, Chris and Julie were brilliant - from all the info provided before the stay, to their welcome and beyond. Breakfast was exceptional - good choice of mains, which I worked my way through each day and thoroughly enjoyed them all! Having on site parking was a real bonus.
Cons: The bathroom fan was noisy, but thankfully turned off quickly so not much of an issue.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location, view and the breakfast was excellent. Very nice, helpful owners
Cons: The water pressure in the shower. Seemed difficult to control the shower water temperature as well.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The accommodation and location were superb. Just what we were looking for.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I have never seen such clean windows, a reflection of the whole property. Breakfast choices excellent as was the food. Location close to port for trips to Isles of Scilly. Would definitely stay again, highly recommended
Cons: Everything was excellent so no complaints
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Delicious breakfast and superb location.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fabulous choices at breakfast. Great location just yards from the sea and near plenty of places to eat. Very friendly hosts.
Cons: Everything was great

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was nice served in your own personal dining room next to the bedroom. Room was huge 4 poster bed was really comfortable and everything was done to a high standard.
Cons: Nothing really ... Ideal location to explore Lands End and surrounding area. St Michael's mount was a short drive away. Parking is on street and pot luck though managed to get close to property when we arrived and again when we popped out later in the evening.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I was given the warmest of welcomes and was so comfortable in my room and private breakfast area too. It was spotlessly clean and fresh and I had a delicious breakfast. It was great value for money and the perfect start to my Cornwall trip.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owner really made an effort to adjust to the distancing rules with a little private dining room, the bedroom was spotless and the host was lovely welcoming and friendly
Cons: Nothing reallu
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very attentive and accommodating hosts (without being overbearing). Lovely home, great facilities and very nice breakfast. Highly recommend!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful hosts. Very punctual when replying to messages before our stay. Very accommodating and provided us with pillows and blankets to take with us to the Minak theatre. Incredible breakfast cooked to perfection!! Thanks very much would definitely recommend!!
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: the room size (twin) was really good and we had a separated own living room. The bathroom was actually just a shower cabinet with a toilet in front of the shower cabin. Really small but it was ok for 1 night stay. The breakfast was really lovely and delivered on exact agreed time. The system what Nikki and Jon created to provide breakfast and enjoyable stay during this Covid 19 is really appreciated and worked very well. They are really lovely. They were really flexible and helped us to check in really early and we could leave our luggage at their place just to give us chance to visit an another city. Thank you so much!
Cons: The house was a bit cold because it was already cold outside but the radiators couldn't warm our rooms up. We were a bit cold during the night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really great couple running this B & B. Rooms were extremely clean, well kept and comfortable. Great ensuite shower. Breakfast was also a very good standard. Close to the sea front and the town centre. Just be aware if you have a vehicle as there is no street parking during the day. I used a car park at the top of the road which was only £1.90 for 24 hours and was only a 5 minute walk. Overall very happy with my stay and would recommend to anyone. Thanks Nikki and Jon for you hospitality.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean, spacious, comfortable, luxurious and lovely food.
Cons: Couldn't fault It. Excellent breakfast .
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent location, parking was not an issue at all to our surprise and delight. Breakfast was great - Nikki and John were very accommodating with a vegetarian who doesn't like egg. We breakfasted well every day! Because of covid-19 you get a small suite rather than a room so we had a twin bedded room (all that was left when we booked) and an extra room with a breakfast bar and sofa plus a loo and shower room. If the weather had been miserable we'd have been quite happy in our little kingdom! Due care and attention paid to hygiene etc so we felt quite safe.
Cons: Hard to find fault. Personally I like a flat white or latte coffee with my breakfast rather than a cafetiere coffee - so investment in a barrista type coffee machine might be worth considering. The shower and loo had been shoehorned into a small space but we're a small couple but I can see others might struggle. And you had to wash your hands in the bedroom as there was no sink in the shower room and the other sink didn't work.
Excellent 10.0
Nikki was very welcoming & accommodating. Bed was comfy & the room was clean. Woodstock is central to places. On bus route to lands end .l will definitely be back sometime next year. Enjoyed my time at Woodstock. Highly recommend

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast I had was very nice and even though I misheard the time that it was served, the owner still offered a cooked breakfast. Our room was exceptionally clean and very comfy. Myself and my daughter were really happy with every aspect of our stay at Penmorvah. I would highly recommend this guest house to anybody thinking about staying here and I will 100% be booking with them again.
Cons: The distance of the guest house to the harbour. (I have a bad back). To any other able bodied, slightly fitter guests it wouldn't be a problem. The walk through the promenade to the harbour is amazing and really scenic.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Owners friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about area. Bed was very comfortable and so were pillows
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very clean, the Lady cleaned the room everyday. Breakfast was delicious. The owners were very kind and helpful. Close to the sea and town centre.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hosts were the loveliest! We liked our room, it was so comfortable. The guest house is on such a picturesque street surrounded by trees at both sides. The house was so quiet, just like we hoped for a holiday location. Many guest houses claim they serve "continental" breakfast and then you only find yogurt. Well, this was not the case at Penmorvah! I can hands down say they had the best breakfast offerings I've ever come across in a British guest house. They have continental (a few different European types), vegan, vegetarian, and the English breakfast options. I would definitely recommend Penmorvah to anyone I know who travel to Penzance.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was lovely, out host was lovely and we even got a breakfast pack made up for us, as we had an early start.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautifully kept inside and out . Owners are lovely , close to the centre either a walk through the stunning park or the sea front . Breakfast was the best ! Dog friendly ❤️
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved everything about our stay. It's by far the BEST B&B I have ever stayed in. I will definitely be back. It's a beautiful house with exceptional service by the loveliest hosts. Thank you so much for this perfect stay.
Cons: There was nothing to fault. I loved everything.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All was how I expected valuable place
Good 7.0
Pros: Good location
Cons: Small rooms
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The owners were absolutely lovely and made the stay so enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, very accommodating. The room was beautiful and very well appointed. Beds are super comfy and breakfast was amazing. We'll definitely be back! Thanks so much.
Cons: Parking is free, but a bit tricky/limited as it's on the street outside.

Pros: Linda and Steve, the owners were very friendly and helpful. Steve even gave us a lift to Penzance Quay to catch the Scillonian on the rainy morning we left, which was much appreciated. We will definitely stay again.
Cons: Our bedroom was on the top floor, however it was very spacious so that made up for it.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast very well run and you ordered the evening before, so easier all round. Room had everything needed for our stay and even supplied fresh milk, as the wife does not like UHT milk cartons. The whole place was very clean
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: We were well catered for with breakfast including vegetarian sausages. Breakfast was cooked as soon as we came downstairs and was greeted by Alan. The rooms all had internet access and everything was in the room including shampoo, hairdryer and even a bible.
Cons: Maybe a fan in the room as we were very hot at night.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Loads: the location near sea and town centre, my bedroom, view and amenities, breakfast itself, decor, large, comfortable bed 🛌.
Cons: Only the breakfast ambience. A bit of a cross between an aspiring Fawlty Towers and boarding school. Too loud so early, and boss keeps clearing up around people still eating. Also the intercom walls are thin - but that's no one's fault.
Good 7.0
Pros: Very friendly
Cons: Small bathroom
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely breakfast 😋 location amazing, host wonderful.
Cons: Everything was 👍
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were only in Penzance for 2 nights having travelled 400 miles from Lincolnshire to see family. Alan was extremely courteous and helpful and welcomed us into their home. The room was spacious , clean, warm and well decorated as was the rest of the house. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. A short walk into Penzance and close to the promenade. Very friendly hospitable hosts, thank you. We would recommend Chiverton House 100%.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The room was super clean and the breakfast was amazing. Lovely touches such as homemade cake on arrival and a bar of chocolate.
Cons: Nothing. Maybe the steam extractor in the bathroom was on the noisy side but that would be really picking for details.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent choice of breakfasts available with really good products, thank you. Toiletries in the bathroom were fab and bed and sheets first class.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very clean in a great location to explore the area. Fee was Very helpful with local knowledge and the breakfasts were excellent both in choice a bad quality.
Cons: Nothing
Good 7.0
Pros: Fantastic location Lovely room - We had a sea view, everything in the room felt quality, nice big bed, solid furniture. Attention had clearly been paid to making sure the room felt amazing. High standards of cleanliness - Outstanding. Honestly, one of the best experiences I have had. The room was cleaned ever day, no exceptions and to a really high standard.
Cons: Interactions with the host - How to put this. The host is quite strict and if you don't play by her rules (there are a lot of these, for example you have to say what you want for breakfast the next day by a certain time or you can't have certain items) things won't go well for you. For some people that is probably completely fine and that's fair enough. For other people this might be something you can't cope with. Couple of examples to help colour this in: Example 1 - I didn't wear my mask when I came down for breakfast and was publicly told off. Example 2 - While we were there the host kicked someone out and threatened to call the police if they didn't leave. They also hadn't worn a mask when coming down the stairs, but they had also not been wearing shoes. They also got a public telling off and when they tried to argue back (in quite a manipulative way, to be fair) they were given the boot. I'd recommend having a think about how you'd respond to this kind of thing before staying here. As mentioned this might be completely fine for some people, not so much for others.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Myself and my husband stayed here for three nights for our wedding anniversary and had a brilliant time. We absolutely loved Camilla House! We stayed in the Penberth room which was on the top floor and had a lovely sea view. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and a joy to stay in. Fee was an excellent host, she was extremely thoughtful - homemade cake was a lovely touch. She remembered what we toast we liked each morning, whether we had tea or coffee etc, and my husband loved the marmalade. As it was our wedding anniversary on our last day she left a jar of marmalade for him as a gift! The breakfasts were amazing, everything we tried was delicious especially the pancakes! The location is also great, close to everything and lots to do close by. Would totally recommend, thank you Fee for making our stay so enjoyable! Petra and Nick xx
Cons: Nothing we didn’t like!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Our room was just lovely. Comfy, spotlessly clean and beautifully done out. The view was stunning.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at Camilla House! The rooms were very spacious, comfortable and regularly cleaned. The owner was really lovely - she clearly cares about her guests and remembered various elements of our conversations throughout our stay . We especially liked the attention to detail and all the little touches like the chocolate on arrival, homemade cakes, bottled water and lots of choice at breakfast. Thank you for a brilliant stay! We’re sad to have left :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was amazing, few minutes from the sea side. The Host was amazing and friendly. Facilities were extremely clean and comfortable.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast very substantial. Two sittings due 2 Covid-19. Location was excellent, near 2 an excellent Fish & chip shop . Convenient to the town and 10 minutes from the rail station. Nice touches in the room were some home bakes which went down well ! My room overlooked the sea.
Cons: Not so much didn’t like. Wasn’t en suite, so my bathroom was upstairs, which meant a trip to the loo during the night, with supplied dressing gown ! But for just a few nights wasn’t so much of a problem, the house had a lovely character to it.

Cons: I would have liked larger towels and perhaps drinking chocolate on the tray in the bedroom. The bathroom is a little tired. The windows rattled when it was windy, so we wedged them with folded paper. The view is fabulous, but the road is a bit noisy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Large room, very clean, en-suite, large comfy bed, fab view, beautiful 19th century house, fine quality tableware (Wedgewood) and linen, excellent breakfast, Guest parking, friendly, attentive hosts.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderful breakfasts with many choices; hosts Tom and Melanie were kind, knowledgeable, and fun to talk with. Our room was large and sunny, with a spectacular view over Mount Bay. We could easily walk to restaurants in the town and to the beach. We would love to return!
Cons: We liked everything, and that is rare for us!
Good 6.7
Pros: view from window of room great
Cons: i booked thinking this was a hotel with full facilities for example evening meal and bar i think its worth knowing that this is a b & b not an hotel
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Superb food and presentation, speedily prepared and with a welcoming and helpful approach.
Cons: Soft background music (perhaps classical?) would have softened the rather quiet atmosphere. Croissants and pastries at breakfast would be a useful supplement.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Breakfast was very well presented and in a pleasant room overlooking the sea.
Cons: Seaview room was a partial seaview, television so small you need binoculars to see it. Supposed to be a double room, only suitable for a single in my opinion. Because the room was small the bed was too, I'm about 5' 11" tall and had to sleep with my feet hanging out of the bottom of the bed. Windows rattled if it was windy - all this could be yours for £125 per night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly knowledgeable staff always happy to help. Comfortable beds, rooms clean . Central location .Did'nt need to use the car ,which made it more relaxing .Breathtaking views from the windows.
Cons: Liked it all.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Very close to the railway & coach station. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of choice.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very lovely, friendly staff. A warm welcoming environment. Room was brilliantly decorated and so cosy. Lamps and classical music on when I arrived which was such a nice touch. Staff found me an extra lamp for my desk too which was great. Shower pressure great and there’s a bath too - with bubble bath supplies! A treat. Delish food and great having the option of lounging in front of the fireplace to defrost from outside. Plenty of couches and tables to work at too. Perfect location right by lots of artsy shops, cafes and restaurants, very short walk to jubilee pool, the boardwalk and the station.
Cons: My main issue was that my room was right by a back alley walkway which meant very little natural light and a lack of privacy. I had only realized it was a walkway when I was getting changed and someone walked past. There was a thin curtain to still let in some light during the day and offer a little privacy but I hadn’t want to close any of the curtains as there was so little natural light as it was. Perhaps don’t use the walkway or at least make it clear on the listing that there’s lack of light and privacy due to that walkway. My other issue was, though I loved the bath and great design of the bathroom, the mold in the grout is getting quite bad in there and it was a bit smelly and off-putting. Needs to be attacked with bleach! Otherwise, really lovely stay. Thanks!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Ideal location, we loved the quirky interior. The staff were extremely friendly & professional , breakfast was exceptional. We would have liked to have tried the evening menu, but ran out of time. Other than that we will return & I would recommend this hotel.
Cons: The only complaint is that the tea, coffee & milk weren’t replaced & the room didn’t appear to be freshened up the following morning & only 1 toilet roll,,,, that wasn’t replaced so we had to request another, the staff were apologetic. The housekeeping needs to be improved
Good 6.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Expensive for what you get, extra charge for dog £15 per night seemed excessive. Vegan meal option poor quality

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good food and a room with a view out to sea.
Cons: The wine list was a little disappointing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: We had the "Panorama" room which provided wonderful double aspect views. One side overlooked Mounts Bay and St. Michael's Mount. The other over Penzance towards the harbour, wonderful. The room was well appointed with a very large comfortable bed but I thought a little bit on the small side, likewise the en suite bathroom. But as I said well decorated and pleasant. The food was very well cooked and we tried both breakfasts and evening meals.
Cons: Nothing in particular that would put you off staying in this hotel. Guests need to be aware the hotel is accessed up a short but fairly steep hill. Maybe not ideal if you are more senior or have trouble walking.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: room staff restaurant
Cons: lack of parking when busy
Excellent 9.0
Pros: good location and quiet.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The breakfast was good, just what u would get for an traditional breakfast
Cons: The prices on the menu, would have been nice to see
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Since covid, they have updated the hotel and it looks great. I love the decor, the feel and the vibe around the place. Due to late arrival, the night Porter rang me prior to my arrival to check all was on track. As I entered, I was greeted by him and he couldn’t do more for me, getting me a beer and a packet of crisps straight away, carrying them up to my room. Breakfast, as always, was lovely.
Cons: Really happy
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A great hotel in a fantastic location with friendly, welcoming staff, great food, great room and a plus that it’s dog friendly! I enjoyed my stay. Thank you!

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good location, close to station. Staff very helpful. Made up a sandwich pack for my breakfast on the train since I had to leave before breakfast time.
Cons: Single bed a little narrow for my liking.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Neat room with all I needed for a weekend stay.
Cons: I could hear conversations very clearly from other rooms, but being at the back of the house I could not hear the street.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly clean lovely Breakfast and a great location
Cons: everything was good
Good 6.0
Pros: The owners were really lovely and it was a cute b&b in an ideal location. They helped with my bags to my room as I had a baby to carry. Breakfast was lovely and they give plenty of options to keep everyone happy.
Cons: The bathroom was dirty, I didn't feel comfortable using it. I think maybe they forgot to clean it.
Good 7.0
Pros: Location was ideal where travel was concerned - Tourist Info, railway station and bus station nearby. Breakfast delicious and plenty of choice.
Cons: Room a bit claustrophobic. Mattress a bit soft for my taste - can't please everyone though. Shower quite high off the floor - a big step up and down to get in and out - need a grab handle somewhere for us older, less mobile, people. Shelf needed in the bathroom for toileteries etc. Couldn't find a decent takeaway anywhere nearby - maybe cos I was there out of season.
Good 7.0
Pros: Comfortable beds and good breakfast. Good value for money.
Good 7.6
As indicated the place was spotless even though they were working on one of the rooms. My problem was with the landlady who is very difficult. You have to check out at 10 which is OK and I asked if at 10.49 I could come back to sit in a corner for a few minutes to deal with an Ebay bid. The landlady was most opposed to this but eventually agreed leaving bad feeling, I even had the feeling she resented her guests.I'll not be going back.
Excellent 9.2
I enjoyed my stay, had a hearty breakfast and found the owners most welcoming. Only a few minutes walk into town and to the ferry to Scilly
Excellent 10.0
Lovely little b&b run by a really nice couple. The room was not huge but well planned with a very comfy bed, plenty of tea and coffee supplies, hair dryer, tv, alarm clock, and lush toiletries. No sea view but you'd find it hard to get anywhere else this close to the front and the centre. Spotlessly clean throughout and a delicious full breakfast served with a smile. Handy pub nearby for meals and many other restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance. We would certainly stay here again next time we visit Penzance.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Close proximity to public transport. Welcoming staff.
Cons: Nothing

Good 6.0
Pros: comfy bed,
Cons: heating was stuck on. shower wasn't thermostatically controlled.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Easy with a code sent in advance (there is no reception/front deck) to access the main door and the bedrooms. Beds really comfortable and a fab night sleep, kettle with tea and coffee (and biscuits!) available. Then short walk the next morning to get the Scillonian.
Good 6.0
Pros: The hotel is quite far from the main city centre and you can’t see anything outside of the window as the windows are not very tall and positioned quite high up on the wall. Despite that, the room was very clean and comfortable. Next to it there is a good Thai restaurant run by Thai people, and about 5 min away there is a very good place that sells fish and chips.
Cons: I could not see anything outside of the window due to their position. And even if I did I could’ve only seen the building in front of the hotel.
Good 7.0
Pros: All reasonable expectations were met.The proximity of a few good pubs was also an added bonus as was the beach.
Cons: The lack of catering facilities. The railway/bus stations were also some distance from the hotel.
Excellent 9.6
It is self check in ( the codes you only get on day of travel) i was abit concerned but fantastic customer service put my mind at rest. Very good location ( aprox 20 mins nice walk along front from bus station ). Lidl next door. Good quality clean room ideal for 1-3 stay
