Excellent 9.0
Pros: We stayed in the room with the outdoor bathtub and it was phenomenal! The room was so beautiful and refreshing’ The staff were super friendly and helpful! I booked excursions in town instead of paying them. Breakfast was pretty good but could use a bit more options. They can provide you with a Shuttle to town or you can hail a cab on the road for cheaper. Photos are truly representative of how pretty this place is! And it’s clean!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Everything, including an excellent breakfast. Super friendly staff
Cons: Great jungle feeling only the noise from the road nearby disturbs a bit.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lots of breakfast options and eggs come from their chickens on the property. They also make their own cream and cheese.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice pool area. Beautiful design of the rooms and the complex in general.
Cons: Noise from the nearby road. Food in the restaurant very good but with exaggerated prices.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Kaana resort is probably the best spot for your money. We got the Balam suite and it exceeded our expectations. It was awesome being able to have breakfast in our sun room listening to the sounds of the forest/garden. It was the perfect home base for a jungle vacation
Cons: Nothing! You need to take a taxi/shuttle to town or to go anywhere but there's enough to do on property that it was not an issue at all.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The cabin is extremely cosy (this does not mean small!) and the private back garden with personal pool and shower is very indulgent. The spa offers one of the best deep tissue massages I have experienced in the world (including Europe and Asia), expert level
Cons: It is difficult to think of something that we didn't like. The private pool was not heated, or a hot tub, but that is just being very spoilt. The internet was spotty at times. Again, not a major issue.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hospitality of the resort was exceptional. The staff sincerely care that you are enjoying your stay.
Cons: My smallest comment would be to expand the menu as choices become limited if you stay 3+ nights.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: So much to like at this resort! The most impressive thing about ka'ana is the customer service. It is second to none. If you go to Belize and are on the mainland you have to stay at Ka'ana.
Cons: No worries you like the whole experience

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Loved the grounds and pool. Location is excellent too!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Really friendly staff great bed
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very good restaurant
Cons: Very loud air conditioning in room
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The room is beautiful and clean, and the facilities and the staff are excellent. We had a wonderful time hanging out by the pool, playing tennis and sitting and relaxing in our patio. It is no wonder Queen Elizabeth stayed here in the 90s. Highly recommend this place and would stay again.
Cons: The only think you consider is the price, but we thought it was worth it!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: All of the staff are super friendly and go above and beyond in customer service! The pool was fanatic and a beautiful area to relax in.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was our anniversary trip and - I left our passports in the room!! Yes I did. We didn't realize it until we got to the airport in Belize City. When I called & spoke to the front desk they found the passports and since the manager was going into Belize City the next day he went to the airport and had them sent to us on Tropic Air to San Pedro. The staff at San Ignacio Resort Hotel are just the best. And, I mean everyone.
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Excellent 10.0
Little town with an remarkable family possessed resort. From your exceptionally to begin with step into the inn with the striking campaign that highlights a amazing circular stairway, lovely woodwork, marble tile floors, and a clearing see to the well designated rooms, this resort will make an extraordinary impression. Cherished the pool region, tennis court, iguana cultivate on premises, a tree found off the eatery deck highlighting three assortments of Toucans and a endless collection of other feathered creatures, and to beat it off an outstandingly inviting and supportive staff. We were able to walk to town and visit the ruins a brief remove absent. We had a small inconvenience with the WiFi but there was a computer center accessible as well. They had a spa on property where I got a facial like I've never had some time recently - I might have eaten all the items utilized on my confront so no stresses for unforgiving chemicals. Decent indoor bar region with music and a full benefit eatery including prime cuts of meat. As it were 4 miles from the Guatemalan border and central to most of the great tours offered for cave tubing, cave canoeing, ATM and other expansive Mayan destroy locales, wilderness trips, etc. In our supposition, this was the put to remain in San Ignacio. Our four days there went rapidly and we had a awesome time.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The food was so good. The restaurant is known for its steak but even the pizza was good. The staff is amazing, they somehow remember your name. It's incredible. The location is nice as its within walking distance to town & Cahal Pech Mayan Ruin the tour guide at the ruin was very informative. We stayed in the Regal room and it was very nice.
Cons: There are stairs everywhere so it wouldn't be a good location for anyone that has a hard time with stairs.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: The hotel was in a great location, which allowed us to explore the area very easily. It sits above the downtown area of San Ignacio, but it is still within walking distance. If you don't feel like walking, then taxis are cheap. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful and the facilities are very comfortable with a great pool and outdoor dining area.
Cons: The hotel was under construction, which definitely took away from the ambiance. We didn't loud experience any early morning construction, but the hotel wasn't looking its best.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was great. I can't think of any improvements. This is a very high-end resort and yet it is also comfortable, keeping the jungle and nature close. The staff made us feel very welcome.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: From the moment you drive into the property you feel like you’re in a jungle oasis. Our hut was upon the hill overlooking the pool, the view took my breath away each time I stepped onto our private balcony, or laid in bed just looking out and taking it all in. The staff, the food, the service were all excellent. I have nothing negative to say. Absolutely 100% recommend staying here!!!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful property in the middle of the Belizean jungle- impeccable service, delicious food, beautiful lodging, great outdoor activities either onsite or close by. If you are going to Belize, you should schedule a few days in the Cayo district to enjoy the nature, adventure, and history. And this is absolutely the place to stay if you can get in.
Cons: This is in a remote area and while the property provides almost everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel, there isn’t air conditioning and it’s hard to keep things dry with brief, periodic rains. They provide quick and inexpensive laundry services, but you should bring plastic bags to store wet shoes (at least during the rainy season).
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Chaa Creek was recommended by a friend, and had a big reputation to live up to - which it did, and more. The property, rooms, staff, and tours were all fabulous for our family. Chaa Creek Lodge and grounds were beyond beautiful, and their tag line “wildly civilized luxury” totally fit. It was a joy to let it all soak in. We loved the infinity pool, which was big enough for my teenagers to have fun goofing around, while adults enjoyed a social drink, or moment of peace. What a great way to end a day of tours! The restaurant ambiance was perfect either inside or out, and we loved the fresh, delicious, well-presented food and drink. We were beyond thrilled with our Macal River View Suites, which was perfect for our family of four. The spacious and luxurious suite of two rooms, two patios, and bathroom; comfortable beds, tall thatched roof; mahogany wood; and, artful decor made me happy and never want to leave. I had been worried about the summer heat, but the fans kept us cool and we slept soundly. But the best part of the lodge was the friendly and helpful staff, who made staying there a true joy. At each point of contact the people were great, from answering my many questions before arrival via chat, to our great overview with welcome drink at check-in, my multiple conversations organizing tours with the knowledgeable, efficient, and patient concierge, the bartenders, wait staff, cleaning staff, and everyone were just great. And finally, our tours were fantastic! Xunantunich was especially lovely with our wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable tour guide. He did a great job of reading his audience, answering our questions, and weaving interesting Mayan stories with nature, world history, and present day - again, exceeding expectations! We also loved the in-site jungle amenities and paths, as well as our casual river tube float down the river. We’re so happy we chose Chaa Creek, and only wish we could have stayed longer!
Cons: N/A
Excellent 9.0
Pros: What an incredible place. Beautiful grounds, great facilities, really good food and wonderful staff. So many activities also, many of which were free. We will be coming back in the future for another stay!
Cons: The only downside is that many of the traditional lodges are without air conditioning since they are basically open air. They are sealed with netting that prevents any bugs from getting in and you really feel like you are sleeping outside in the jungle with all the wonderful noises. There are ceiling fans and other fans if you need them, and after a day or so you get used to the heat.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The rooms are private villas set for n the most beautiful serene spots all over the property, to get the most of the jungle sounds and sights. The staff makes this place special, they are attentive to every need and kind and friendly. From Saul the bartender, to Marcos, Jessie, Myra,Joel, cara and the wait staff, to Leonso, meshak, Alexy, ronell and Miguel- the guides, they are all very knowledgeable and work very long hours to accommodate your every need! Ben and Jessica at concierge were great too, and miss marisella the resident cooking teacher was so sweet! The naturalists are very impressive of their knowledge of birds, sounds, plants and animals and share the information freely. The food was amazing too! I could go on and on! Loved our stay here!
Cons: Nothing!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: superb kept property, very convinient rooms, excellent bed quality, very engaged and polite personel, good tour excursions especially the horse riding
Cons: breakfast average ( poor fruit salad), food in general ok but soups are rediculous small
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Some of the things we loved about Chaa Creek were the food, the drinks, the guides and the ease and organization of excursions. Our family of 4 (kids age 9 and 11) did the ATM tour, Caves Branch tubing, Tikal, Xunantunich, and Barton Creek cave canoeing. The property is beautiful. It’s like what you picture when someone says “luxury jungle hideaway”
Cons: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the Lodge at Chaa Creek. It was an expensive splurge for us. But we feel that we got such a high level of service, quality, attention, comfort, and fun in return that it was worth the price tag.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Fantastic eco resort with multiple level$ of lodging. Tours can be pricey but, the level of care and attention to detail validates the cost. The on site activities are a wonderful added value. We also found the staff to be some of the best parts of our experience at Chaa Creek. Would definitely go back.
Cons: We eat a whole foods, plant based, vegan diet. Chaa Creek was extremely accommodating to our requests. Our one suggestion would be to educate the kitchen on the depth of what “whole foods, plant based” means. They would find a very receptive crowd and it would tie in nicely to their eco friendly message.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Wonderful staff, nice visiting during a nice breakfast.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast fresh and tasty every day. Staff very friendly. Manager Ricky very helpful with tours at ATM, Caracol, Tikal in Guatemala and more. Also adviseds about restaurants and things to do. Property very nice with beautiful gardens.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Clean, peaceful & the birds were amazing to watch!
Cons: The mattress was not as comfortable as it could’ve been, but we put down yoga mats and it was fine.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Contact with the staff, they were very sweet and provided loads of information about the place, history and local attractions. Also they were always ready to help with transportation... Breakfasts were awesome!
Good 6.0
Pros: Breakfast is indeed amazing, grounds are beautiful, close to the city and Places to visit.
Cons: WiFi is available only in the main house, the room is adjacent to another room and there’s no windows and the roof is thatched. You can hear the other people next to you, when they shower, talk, etc... it’s feels like camping more than a hotel room. You can hear the noise of the street and an annoying rooster that thinks morning starts at 4 am.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Caballo Blanco and highly recommend it! The property sits atop the town of San Ignacio and has an amazing view. The cabanas and property are meticulously maintained. The breakfast was fantastic and the service was outstanding in every respect. We enjoyed it tremendously and want to return to San Ignacio and stay here again.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The breakfast was delicious and nourishing. Ms Grace did a wonderful job preparing our meals. Ms Lidia was so very helpful as was Mr Ricky. I hope we can stop by again when we pass thru.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff, large rooms, great help in arranging tours and shuttle service.
Cons: It’s about a 20 minute walk from city center, but taxis are inexpensive.
Good 7.5
Pros: Nice place with 6 rooms only, very quiet except the third day when there was a outdoor concert from 9pm to 3am. Not hotel’s fault because nobody in the town could escape from the loud music in that night.
Cons: A lot of bugs. No wifi signal in guest rooms, have to connect wifi in the common room.

Pros: Clean and quiet, centrally located to most things. Value for money.
Cons: The pillows were too flat and did not allow for a goodnight's rest.

Pros: location
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I loved the location and the staff was so friendly and profesional🥰
Cons: Only down side was that on my online reservation stated that my stay was suppose to be less than what i was quoted at the front dest but at the end of the trip it was still worth it
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Located downtown alone the walking mall, street market, restaurants, and tour companies. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean. Great 3 night stay!

Pros: Location is great--right on Burns Avenue downtown and close to a really fantastic fresh market.
Cons: NA

Pros: Nice, clean room and good location.

Everything was good but the beds were SO hard and so uncomfortable!!
Excellent 10.0
Since San Ignacio does not offer thousands of best conclusion inns at sensible cost, Venus Inn appears to be one of the leading choices in town. Rooms are little, but clean and well prepared. Upon entry we have been educated that indeed in spite of the fact that data in our booking does not demonstrate any feast arrange, a little complimentary breakfast is given. Moreover, we may stop our renal car at the protected stopping by the lodging and utilize the swimming pool at its sister inn Midas at no charge. Front work area staff was very neighborly and gave us very many clues where to go to investigate Cayo locale of Belize.
Excellent 10.0
The benefit here was amazing and obliging to the fullest. Superb clerks keep the put clean, and the geckos work double-time on keeping the put bug-free. They indeed let us take off additional things behind the counter amid our overnight trip out to Tikal at no cost after we had as of now checked out. Not an ounce of stress that something awful would happen to them. The showcase is specifically behind the lodging where deliver can be obtained for nearly nothing. The staff was too exceptionally accommodating and inviting.
Excellent 10.0
The hotel is right in front of the local bus stop, right in the center of the small town. Easy to find ! Currently under renovation, it's our little flat, work from 8h to 17h make a little noise and the reception and corridors really give the impression of arriving on a construction site. Our room however was clean and spacious and the shared balcony looked out onto the square so rather quiet to sleep. Another small negative point, the place for breakfast on the 2nd floor has no table, so we must eat sitting on the sofa, it's average but we assume that this situation was due to the work. Nothing very serious. The staff is very nice and helpful. We recommend this hotel. Cahal Pech is 20min walk and Xunantunich 15min via local bus + 30min walk across the river by ferry. The market is 2 steps from the hotel.
Excellent 10.0
The Venus lodging may be a part lovelier than the pictures demonstrate. The rooms were immaculately clean. There was development going on whereas I was there and had I not been up early to visit, I think it would have bummed me out. The inn can be troublesome to discover the entrance, fair go to begin with street off the square and it's there. You're in a idealize area, being able to walk to each eatery and visit company and indeed up the hill to the locales. The individuals are exceptionally pleasant. There's a overhang ignoring the square. The 'breakfast' isn't truly anything, but you're feet absent from cafes that have great coffee, in case not the most excellent nourishment.

This is a great place to stay in San Ignacio and I would highly recommend it to anyone! The hotel is located in the heart of the city and is a safe, quiet, and clean place to stay. The owner, Maria, and her staff are very friendly and helpful. Marie has been renovating the place over the past few years so many of the rooms look brand new. Our room had a private and nice bathroom with a great shower with hot and cold water. We were in the heart of San Ignacio and had no problems sleeping at night. Overall I would say the Venus Hotel is a great place to stay.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff is amazing! Everyone was super friendly and worked hard to make sure we had a great stay.
Cons: Nothing. The property is beautiful. The restaurant was good. We had a car and found the location to be perfect for our plans. Easy 5 minute drive in and out of the downtown area.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent location and friendly staff. The onsite restaurant was also great.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I loved the surroundings and the scene. It's very covid-friendly as all of the cabins are spread out into nature. Having a restaurant/bar available was very convenient and allowed less traveling back and forth to the city for food and beverages. The food was quite delicious too. Pool available 24/7 to guests. Also, the customer service was amazing.
Cons: My bathroom faucet was leaking from the handle and messed up the sink with water. One of the fan lights wasn't working either. Those are my only 2 complaints. All around would recommend for another stay.
Good 6.0
Pros: Great pool and bar and very cozy with cottages spread out in nature
Cons: One room two beds for 4 people is tight and very basic interior
Excellent 8.0
Pros: A stay at The Log Cab Inn offers great value for the price you pay. You get to experience the beauty of nature while still being pretty close to town. Small but comfortable cabins offer everything you need for a little personal retreat. The staff is exceptional and super friendly. (Michael was our server and he ensured that we were always comfortable and satisfied)
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very big and well maintain . Beautiful tress
Excellent 9.0
Pros: It was a great night spent. Enjoy the silence and the pool time.
Cons: The time I had to wait for my food. Could be more organize.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: We stayed in one of the bungalows and it was awesome. Two sinks in the room, comfy bed and excellent views. The multiple pools were nice and they had a couple of on site restaurants, their restaurant, a bakery and a sushi restaurant.
Cons: I did't love that it wasn't an easy walk to and from town but there's nothing they can change about that other than offer a free shuttle service. It is on a top of a large hill so while you can walk down for 20+ minutes and be in town you definitely don't want to walk up and not at all at night.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The pool
Cons: Food was poor all meals were below average with extra slow service the sushi restaurant was never open.

Pros: The location is great. The idea of the bungalows is cool. The views for sunrise and sunset are nice too.
Cons: The worst thing was that the rooms were very dirty: lizard dung was all over the beds and there were visible streaks of things on the walls. The mesh around the bungalows was falling off (bugs can come in). We had trouble with the keys. The shower head was connected to a loose pipe coming through and the shower was leaking through the tile. The AC also takes a long time to cool off the room, but eventually throughout the night it did cool down.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The food is very good. Especially the pizza. And the staff is very polite and helpful. And the view is splendid.
Cons: Takes a while for the showers to get hot water.
Excellent 10.0
This was such an amazing place to stay while in San Ignacio. Close to town and you have Mayan ruins literally in your backyard. The hotel sits on a hillside overlooking the town. The food is great and reasonably priced.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: The staff at Cahal Pech were so friendly and accommodating, they were like family! The tours they set up for us we great!

Excellent 9.0
Pros: We felt like family. Lucy and William were so friendly and helpful. Very good value if traveling on a budget.
Cons: It's located on a busy street but with the curfew in place, it was very quiet after 9pm.
Good 7.0
Pros: It’s in a relatively good location. Access to nearby locations are easy
Cons: Mosquitos and other similar insects would get in room, seems unavoidable.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Everything was super clean, very big room. Staff was SO friendly. Wifi is very fast in the hallway/kitchen which was great.
Cons: No hot water, but then again, I didn't have hot water anywhere I stayed in Belize.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean, accommodating, good for its price.
Excellent 8.0
Cons: good people.. reasonable price..
Okay 5.0
Pros: Location on main road. Decor the room had.
Cons: No secure parking was available. Bed linens didn't smell clean, had higher expectation. Shower didn't work and noisy exhaust fan in bathroom.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Great kitchen and super friendly staff. Very clean!
Cons: Busy road
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The proprieter Lucy was delightful, helpful. She gave us tour advice, arranged transportation, Restaurant advice. I like the Kitchen that was on the enclosed porch. I liked the privacy from the street. I liked the easy walking distance to what we wanted to see.
Okay 4.0
Cons: We went to check in and no one was available. The entire place was closed and locked. We ended up cancelling our reservation and went to a different resort.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Rumors is definitely my go to place when I’m in Cayo, clean comfortable and affordable.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Facilities, view, safety and staff
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A breathtaking sunset view, 5 min from San Ignacio's downtown. Evening swim in the pool under the shooting stars accompanied by the sounds of the jungle and howling monkeys in the distance... San Ignacio is a wonderful stop on the way from Guatemala to Belize City. And ... Rumors has it that the Resort named this way has it all, including comfortable transportation when needed, friendly staff, accommodating my early "distance work" needs, super yummy breakfast filling me for the remaining leg of the trip and ... the sweetest cat wondering on the site waiting to be pet.
Good 7.0
Pros: It is is conveniently in between towns, close to Mountain Pineridge, and Mayan Temple. The pool was nice. We had problems with reservations but staff was understanding and accommodating to a tired family of 5. Due to covid restrictions there was no restautant service but staff gave tips and accommodate early breakfast to us. We saw a tocun in front of our room :). The staff was extra friendly.
Cons: Hotel was infront of highway so it was noisy The bathroom was small and basic. Toilet door room is right infront of toilet seat and was close to the knee. Service by the pool was ok- they were dsmissive to my son when he went to ask for towels and drinks.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: I love the location and how clean and quite it is.

Okay 4.0
Pros: Grounds were very well kept. All the different fruit trees and other plants were very interesting and calming.
Cons: On arrival there were issues with the bathroom. Basin was leaking which got fixed then toilet started leaking which was never fixed. Intoxicated guys at the bar harassed my friend and I when we attempted to have a drink. Several appliances in the casita did not work. Pool was always over crowded especially in light of the current covid situation. Inside the casita did not look anything like it was displayed online which seems deceptive.
Good 6.8
Pros: good location, quiet
Cons: Lots of little flaws, luke warm hot water, lights out, cracked mirror, missing screen. but overall ok place.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: The cabana was awesome, as well as the staff. Beautiful pool with poolside bar. Centrally located in the heart of San Ignacio.
Cons: No telephones in the rooms. No ice machines at the resort. Also no little mini refrigerators or microwaves in rooms. Also charge to bring a guest to the resort to use the pool even when accompanied by a paying guest
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Location and rooms are great
Cons: No ice for in room or efficiencies
Good 6.0
Pros: The cabana was awesome. Nice pool. Great location. Nice little restaurant and poolside bar.
Cons: Front desk staff was not informative on extra charges. I was charged 15.00 per guest to spend time with us at the pool. That is ridiculous!! I booked the resort based on being able to meet with family and friends and enjoy the facilities at the resort. Didn't expect to be charged daily for that. We did spend money at the poolside bar for food and drinks. It's ashamed to be charged more then a room night to use the facilities. The WiFi is terrible unless you are by the pool or the deluxe rooms above the pool. I had no cellular service so I was dependent on WiFi to check email and communicate back to family in the US. I asked for a room closer to the pool to get reception and I was told that I could pay extra for a deluxe room above the pool. Not!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The tours we booked through the resort were worry free. I had heard from some postings of challenges traveling to Tikal in Guatemala. We simply booked our tour ahead and brought our passports. They took care of everything. We had a great guide, rode in an air conditioned shuttle on both sides of the border and the guide was with us the entire time. On the way back we even had a late lunch in Guatemala where we could pick up some souvenirs. You MUST do this trip. Being only 2 hours from these ruins makes this a must see. Only $135 US PP was also a very fair price. Try breakfast at Pops as well. It's .. right behind the big yellow building in town. It has a very nice pool which we used after a long day of excursions in the heat.
Cons: Breakfast was good at the resort but less of a value then in town. Cabanas are great for 2 but kind of tight with 3. No drinking water in the room. Water was only available at the bar.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Love the location, amenities and staff. This is our second stay and I'm sure we'll be back. All of the Midas' staff is very conscientious but don't push you. Got help when we asked but were able to enjoy our vacation without pressure. Per the locals the temps were exceptionally hot this time so the bartender was willing to turn one of the TVs facing the pool to the NHL playoffs for my husband and son so they could watch the game from the pool. :-) Made their night, maybe the trip. We love the location is close to town, just past the park so we don't hear the town noises at night. Close enough if we want to stay out late, but far enough we were easily able to get away from it when we wanted to and walked everywhere. Oh and BWT bugs love me but it's never been a problem at Midas. That said, we went to dinner at a high end resort just out of town this time and I got eaten alive. Glad we were staying at Midas and not the other PS thought they had some of the best fry jacks in town.
Cons: Enjoyed the pool and it's surroundings, but for the number of people staying there at the time, it seemed loud kind of late at night.
Good 7.7
Pros: Ac was great, nice cafe on the premises, very near town, markets and other good restaurants, very clean. Friendly staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Comfortable pool, great bar and bartender, and cute/comfortable little cabins with beautiful grounds. We stayed here the night before heading up to Tikal and had a great time. The staff were very accommodating and we have no complaints.
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Delmi is the sole reason this resort runs well. Rooms were cute & comfortable. Location perfect. We never had to worry about sightseeing trips . She arranged everything with great guides. Talk about a jewel in the jungle!
Cons: Our room was not as advertised. Delmi made things right by upgrading to a lovely room.
Okay 5.4
Pros: Location was good
Cons: Staff very unhelpful unfriendly
Good 6.0
Pros: Great location-right outside the city so easy access, but away from noise. Staff was very friendly and pool was beautiful.
Cons: Not very impressed with the restaurant set-up. We went during the off season so this may be why it was slow and seemed unprepared. **If you are purchasing through Kayak and notice the Economy standard room-this is a SPARE ROOM. The spare room appeared clean, but we would share a bathroom with the room next door and bathroom/shower was across the hall. The bathroom was brand new and appeared clean, but we did not want to split with others. Also, this area was under loud construction during our visit in Dec 2015. We ended up upgrading to a cabana which was very nice.
Excellent 8.5
Pros: Good location that is slightly removed from the town but still close enough to walk to. Took the bus from Belize City that drops off in front of the tourism office and Midas was just close enough to comfortably walk to even with luggage. The restaurant had good food for breakfast but only tried the dinner on the first day when I was too tired to go into town to eat.
Cons: A trail of ants coming out of one of the light switches and a leaky toilet. Also the wifi is only in the common areas (restaurant, bar, and the yard) but I was able to get a working signal by sitting on the balcony.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Room was spacious and comfortable. Nice pool and bar area
Cons: Poor water pressure in shower, no coffe pot in room. Restaraunt not good

Pros: Nice building that shows a lot of British influence from the time it was British Honduras. Had trouble with and the family owned property had staff on hand to take care of it.Felt very safe and was close to town. Walking distance to the market.
Cons: It was what I hoped it would be from the listing I saw on Booking. Had a lot of curb appeal. Would recommend for family or single travelers.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The upstairs veranda was wonderful for socializing with our group. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though basic. The staff was friendly and courteous. The morning coffee was great too.
Cons: The curtain on our room let the light in from the porch light and was harder to fall asleep. We couldn't find the switch. It finally went out about 2 am.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Bing and whole family great .walking distance to town
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location with wonderful surroundings. Close proximity to shops and restaurants and the staff were all super helpful. We had an amazing time.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My stay started with a warm welcome from Bing and his daughter. After being installed in a comfortable, well furnished and cosily decorated room with a bar fridge, I relaxed on the balcony which runs around the upper floor. The house is beautifully colourful and surrounded by a lovely, rambling garden which attracts butterflies and birds (including hummingbirds). There are also chickens, ducks and a turkey wandering around between the trees and flowering shrubs. One of the permanent residents in the park chatted to Bing and me, gave me a taste of some of the produce from his veggie garden and I made friends with his very cute dog. It’s a very friendly and relaxed place. Bing is an expert tailor with what seems to be a thriving (but not noisy) business on the ground floor. He did some very good alterations for me very cheaply. He also gave me a lift to get to a colectivo taxi when I was heading for Guatemala. It is only a 10 minute walk to town with Hode’s Place on the way - a great place to eat and/or have a beer and the very good New French Bakery a little closer to town - over the road from the market where you can buy fresh produce. I did get caught in a very heavy downpour on the way back once but I had a poncho and hiking sandals so it was fun.
Cons: Nothing / Nada!!

Pros: I was expecting very basic space, but the hotel has such a fabulous, funky vibe, very charming! The rooms were very clean and spacious; the AC was very welcome. There was a communal kitchen to use and a rooftop that overlooks the city. A few blocks from the area of embarkation for many tours.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff super friendly, showed me places to go eat and for breakfast and assisted me in booking an airport shuttle
Cons: Internet was most working very well and there was no safe in the room
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff was very courteous and the services really catered to allowing guests a wonderful experience.
Cons: There was no cable tv for some reason.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Spacious room ( 5) and bathroom, good a/c, great roof terrace, lovely kitchen on Second floor for making breakfast.
Cons: Some traffic noise and the inevitable barking dogs. Bring earplugs!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: This hotel is spotless! Staff service is excellent. All were very helpful. The location is close to the downtown core of San Ignacio. Just a bit of a hill to reach it from downtown. Stairs are involved to reach your room. Location also offers Rum tasting, Marie Sharp hot sauce and jams tasting and a cooking class. The chef, William, took 6 of us through a four hour hands on local food cooking class complete with rum drinks and a wonderful Belizean dinner made collectively by our group under his guidance. It was fun and he is emailing the recipes to us all so we can try it at home! Highly recommend this activity!
Cons: The exterior of the building is a little worse for wear but it is the interior and the service that are important!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: You have to take the Rum Tasting Class with Luid.
Excellent 10.0
I was happy with the hotel and would stay there again. It had a good location near the downtown. The aircon and tv stations were good. The staff was attentive, as they fixed any minor issues I encountered at the hotel.

Pros: Lourdes was a fantastic host, so welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment we met her. She explained everything about the guesthouse so well and helped us with local information about food, tours, transport, sights to see etc which really made our stay more enjoyable. She offered a good laundry service and the room was very clean. Would highly recommend staying here.
Cons: Everything was great, no complaints
Excellent 9.0
Pros: there was a shared kitchen with a fridge... There was hot water in the shower.... It was very close to town and the staff, a family, was very helpful with advice.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: -amazing hospitality -great and quick laundry Service -big and clean bathroom -we were given a very big room
Cons: -nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Friendly helpful staff and can use a communal kitchen for fridge/cooking etc
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The Lady was very helpful
Cons: I had to kill 2 Cockroaches :(
Good 7.0
Pros: The hostess was very friendly and gave good suggestions. She made sure everything was ok and was quite chatty. The room was basic but had everything I needed. Everything is close in San Ignacio, so the guesthouse is in a good location within walking distance to the city centre but away of the busy main street, so you don't get as much noise.
Cons: The fact that there's not a window that shuts per se. It's just a mosquito net and a few glass frames, so the heat comes through during the day, and even with the fan on it sometimes felt like a sauna. Also, there's no sound insulation because of that, so you'll hear the church bells super loud at 6 a.m. and a lot of dogs barking, so wear earplugs.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly host Great location
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Not far from the main street but worth the walk for the quiet evenings.

Pros: Mystic River is amazing! The grounds are stunningly beautiful, the staff couldn’t be nicer or more attentive, or the day tours more exciting. It was so so so nice to get out of the coronavirus world as there are no cases in Belize. I am a single Mom traveling with my 16 year old. I felt safe the whole time. We will definitely return to Mystic River Resort!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff was great..exceptional property
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff are wonderful, very gracious and accommodating. The location is beautiful, you can eat breakfast with Macaus - how amazing is that? We had a wonderful time, I was honestly sorry we had to leave.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was fabulous.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I can’t say enough about the Excellent staff..Nicest people I’ve ever met!!! Beautiful cabins, loved the goats, hiking trails were wonderful, fun river activity, food at the restaurant was great!! I will definitely go back and stay for an entire week.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The property design is absolutely stunning. Cabins are beautiful and very clean; restaurant and bar overlooking the river was spectacular; food was very good. Staff is so so friendly and helpful. Hiking trails were well marked. The canoeing into town of San Ignacio was so peaceful and scenic.
Cons: There is nothing not to like about this place!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This property was a super huge surprise absolutely beautiful peaceful and relaxing.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean, helpful staff, safe
Cons: Did not stay long enough
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The resort feels like a personal jungle retreat. The free river tubing and canoeing were fun. On the property we went for jungle hikes, saw toucans, iguanas, and a monkey. We laid in hammocks over looking the river and ate AMAZING food prepared by the in house chef. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing (or romantic) getaway.
Cons: The property is higher up the hill on the river on a mostly unpaved road. This wasn’t a problem for us, and the staff arrange taxis up and down; it was just an unexpected cost for us.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The communication and location and restaurant and bar in fab location. We stayed in a cloud 9 suite which was quiet and private very modern and clean canoed down to san Ignacio, fab all drivers to and from were very good birds such as Acari toucans, Mot-Mots and Keel Billed Toucans, humming birds and more seen regularly around the property and on the bird table outside the restaurant orchids and planting around the gardens was lovely All the staff were friendly and helpful if a bit rushed on our first night when they were struggling a bit with the amount of people to look after - after that we had great service
Cons: You really are stuck in having to eat on site which makes it more expensive although the food was excellent apart from our first night when there was no room for us to eat in the restaurant so we had to eat in the bar and the food that night wasn’t great. But all other food was excellent. I also had hoped there might be yoga regularly to join in but you have to book and pay for a minimum of 4 people to do it
Excellent 8.0
Pros: It is well run. Staff is efficient and friendly. The grounds are well kept and beautiful.
Cons: The mosquito’s were intolerable. My son and I left covered in bites. It made our stay very challenging. Disappointed in the very limited options available to eat and found it over priced based on what we got. Having said that...they were very accommodating in making an effort to provide something for us as we are vegan.
