8.3 Excellent
Pros: - excellent location, right in the centre of Apia, within short walking distance to everything - bed was very comfortable - private bathroom setup is weird but the bathroom itself is nice and clean - clean
Cons: there is a door communicating between the room and the next room. although that door is locked, it is absolutely not soundproof therefore I could hear some guy in the next room snorting all night and their loud TV in the morning
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Services
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pretty central in Apia, which is within walking distance of most places. Staff were helpful - I left early to go diving one morning and they gave me breakfast as takeaway.
Cons: If you have a room facing the street, you do get traffic and other noise.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. This resort has 3 meeting rooms available for events. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms good
Cons: Need Squab on our door lounges. Need more lighting for paths at night . Need better selection of sleeping pillows thin soft hard high etc
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous accomodation, beautiful grounds and very tidy, staff couldn’t do enough for you and the fia fia show was wonderful! Highly recommend.
Cons: Fairly expensive but for a short stay well worth it!
7.5 Good
Pros: Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Napa at the bar and Ciala at the restaurant made us feel very at home. The location and grounds were quite beautiful, and the facilities were very well looked after. We were able to rent a car right at the resort, and Michael made that experience very enjoyable.
Cons: Our transfer was not waiting for us at the airport, which was frustrating at 9:00 pm. About half the time a number of options ran out at dinner, and once only pizza was available. Our 15 minute welcome massage could not be scheduled until our second to last day,
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful especially as my husband has a disability.
Cons: Some infrastructure needs attention e.g. the path to the over the water restaraunt
4.3 Okay
Pros: The water sports (kayak, paddle boarding). There was one amazing chef but he obviously couldn’t work all the time.
Cons: Breakfast was less than average. The fact they advertise a gym, but they go rid of the gym. Spa was broken so couldn’t use. How slow and inefficient the workers are.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Sinalei had me at “adults only”. But it was so much more than I ever expected. The little details + the staff were what made Sinalei so perfect. We stayed in a Garden View Villa, which was nice. Obviously an Ocean View or Beachfront Villa would have been ideal, but the Garden View was still absolutely perfect and more in line with our budget. One of my biggest worries, and usually my greatest disappointments at a hotel is the bed. But not at Sinalei! The bed in our room was so cosy and comfortable, and the pillows were pretty good too. I actually woke up each morning feeling rested and relaxed. The air conditioning helped, and meant that we could actually get a comfortable nights sleep. Our favourite things about Sinalei were; - The super friendly staff (Jerome and Napa in particular) - The standalone villas which were lovely and private - The beautiful resort grounds - The glass roof in our bathroom so you could admire the palms and blue skies while you showered - The spa & the massages over-looking the ocean - The cultural night (the Umu food was delicious!) - The beautiful beaches - Cocktails by the pool - The complimentary afternoon tea that they put on each day - Their house-made breads and baking - And of course I can't forget the lovely dinner set up that they arranged for us for our anniversary - so thoughtful and absolutely beautiful. The whole resort was absolutely perfect! And you can’t fault them for how quickly they made you feel like you were home. I would 100% recommend Sinalei, and Samoa, to anyone. We will absolutely be back!
Cons: I’m not 100% sure who is responsible for payments etc. whether it is booking.com or the resort itself, but I was really disappointed that I ended up being charged an extra $300 - $400 more than our room was listed for on booking.com for some unknown reason. And when I tried to get in touch with the resort to resolve it, they came back to me with a breakdown of what I can only assume was someone else’s room, because it didn’t make any sense for us, and when I went back to them again and said that it looked like someone else’s bill, no one got back to me.
So that was very frustrating, being charged more than the advertised price for our room. That would be the only thing that would make me think twice about booking with Sinalei again. We also found that it was really difficult to get accurate information out of the staff. For example, we were told to be at reception at 6.30am to leave for a tour one morning, but when we arrived (early) no one was there. We hung around for about half an hour to see if anyone would show up, before we eventually just gave up and went back to our room. That was incredibly disappointing, as I was really looking forward to that tour. Breakfast was quite nice. If they could work out a better way to keep the flies off though, that would make everything a bit more appetizing. We also found trying to toast bread very frustrating as the toaster was very slow, and there was only one of them. Obviously some parts could do with a small amount of maintenance as well, but you do have to remember that you are in Samoa, and things are a little different over there, to say, somewhere like New Zealand or Australia.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was exceptional in terms of facilities, rooms, customer service. Easy walk down to private beach which has lounge beds and kayaks free for guests. Large private pool right next to the bar. Two restaurants (but same menu). Great buffet breakfast. Easy to hire a car or scooter (you don't even need an international license). About 40 mins drive to To Sua Ocean Trench, with a couple of waterfalls along that drive and beaches beyond it. About a 45 minute drive up to Apia too.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I really liked the layout of the rooms they were so private and no-one walking past, was well thought out. The staff were fantastic as well.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Garden villa was great - very comfy bed, peaceful, great bathroom, good facilities. Breakfasts were awesome (one of the best included breakfasts we've had!). Staff were friendly. No kids allowed so that's a bonus if you want peace and quiet!
Cons: Didn't love the dinner menu - for meat dishes had to choose a two or three course option. Also no other menus available for dinner - like a simple bar snacks menu. Beach wasn't great for snorkelling straight out from resort (so wouldn't pick this resort for snorkelling).
6.3 Good
Cons: No water in the shower on our last night.
Sa'Moana Beach Bungalows - Apia - Building

8.8 Excellent (145 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Sa'Moana Beach Bungalows in Salamumu, you'll be 0.1 mi (0.2 km) from Salamumu Beach and 6.3 mi (10.2 km) from Return to Paradise Beach. Featured amenities include express check-out, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The facilities are superb, loved the outdoor showers! The little peace of beach and the salt water pool are simply gorgeous. The staff was outstanding!
Cons: It’s a little far away from other points of interest, and the road is a bit hard to drive through with a small car, but perfectly doable. Just drive with enough time and patience. The place is so amazing that there’s no many reasons to leave so often!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is located in a beautiful setting. Although 5.5km potholed track is not easy to negotiate, but the place itself would reward that. The location is perfect for a nature lover. The vegetation on the property is very nice and well maintained. The lava pool is awesome and very different from the pools that you normally see in resorts. The staff is extremely helpful, owners employ local people from local villages and they are extremely friendly. We have tried almost all meals from their menu and virtually all were outstanding. Outside shower, walled with a lava stones is amazing. Perfect place for snorkelling - reef is very close to the shore and full of fish and other sea creatures.
Cons: How my payment was handled. As I understand this is an issue between booking.com and the owners. They charge in local currency (WST), but on a booking.com website it is converted in USD and then into NZD (my local currency). There was no option to pay in cash in local currency for the stay which would have saved me about 150 NZD of exchange rate costs and bank costs (3.5% of credit card charge). Consider adding some more chairs or sofas into the bungalow as few of us did not have places to sit in the evening (there were 6 of us in total in one Family bungalow).
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Large house with a beautiful view
Cons: I had some attitude from restaurant one staff but I stemming from a misunderstanding and I think rest of staff were lovely and kind and accommodating
6.3 Good
Pros: We liked the convenience of complementary breakfast, the cool breeze & the relaxed atmosphere
Cons: We were expecting AC. Food was a bit pricey. We had daily room cleaning but necessities weren’t restocked as it was cleanEd. We constantly had to ask for toilet paper, there were 6 of us
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, new bungalows with ceiling fan. Outdoor bathroom. Last 4 km unceiled road, 4wd would be good or really slow driving with a normal car.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: What a gentle and friendly staff. Great holiday with our family. Snorkeling right on the beach, relaxed and genuine atmosphere. Highly recommended for people who want to experience the true Samoan vibe.
7.0 Good
Pros: Amazing setting with ocean views, comfortable sun beds, beautiful infinity pool, and lovely, spacious room. We loved the outside bathroom and ocean view from the room. They also give out free drinking water whenever you need it which was a huge blessing. We loved our lazy days in the grounds reading and snoozing. The photos don’t do justice to how lovely the surroundings are.
Cons: The reception room (also acts as a breakfast room, library, pool room, and bar) is a bad first impression as it’s very dingy, and we had to wait for a while for a receptionist to appear while wearing heavy backpacks on our backs, despite her seeing us enter the building. In fact, the staff in general were lacking and really brought down the feel of the place. None of them seemed to know how things worked and would always have to ask multiple other people before answering a simple question. On our last night we wanted to pay our tab but were told be had to wait till the next day, when the only person that could take payments was there. When the next day arrived someone interrupted us in the middle of our breakfast to tell us we had to pay then because the payment lady had to go out and was waiting for us. On the second day of our stay I was beckoned by one of the cleaners and told she couldn’t clean our room that day because she was too busy. These things are all forgivable - I’m not a complete snob - but taken in the context of what is apparently a 4 star accommodation for which we were paying nearly £90 a night, I really think they could have pulled their fingers out. Every interaction felt like a chore, and that’s not the way it should be when you’re in a relatively nice resort. There was just no atmosphere of service.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and proximity to beach
Cons: The limited vegetarian options and good roasted coffee.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location is stunning. But the sea here is NOT suitable for children. I’m a very strong swimmer but the currents were significant. Not safe for kids on beach without arm length supervision.
Cons: Breakfasts were very meagre. They put out the bare minimum which often means no eggs.... or no fruit .... if you wait long enough more appears. A few spoon fulls at a time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful natural setting. The limited number of guests made it private and uncrowded which we liked. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Food was great!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole place is absolutely stunning, food was incredible, facilities are great, location is amazing! Couldn’t say enough good things about it. 100% THE place to stay on the island!
8.3 Excellent
Cons: The staff.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Overall great location and facilities - operational staff are great, friendly and very helpful. So proud of the local Samoan people they are awesome. Family villas are great - defs need more family rooms available at the Taumeasina
Cons: Need a better process for conversion rates upon arrival esp with booking.com my experience was a nightmare. Tom was amazing and very helpful with it all. Need more consistency with on arrival greeting as well :)
4.5 Okay
Pros: The resort looks very stylish and modern
Cons: The cleaning of the rooms wasn't up to standard. It was hard to relax around the pool with too many children running and screaming jumping into the water- please don't get me wrong I love children having fun but this was a little OTT. We also had a few problems with our room. smashed glass on our bathroom floor that hadn't been cleaned up properly from a broken shower screen, wardrobe door was off it's track and jammed my suitcase behind it overnight so I couldn't access any of my stuff. We report the issues at 5pm on arrival but didn't see any action with work men until 10am the next day.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Rooms clean, bed comfy with duvet covers, clean bathrooms!
Cons: Stayed in two different types of room - standard and villa. They all had a musty smell but given the climate here, it’s somewhat understandable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly. Great food and entertainment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the staff, food and entertainment it was amazing!
Cons: There was nothing that I did not like about the property.
6.8 Good
Cons: The noise from the bar which goes on till 11pm Wednesday through to Sunday night. We were there for two nights and after the first night I complained about the noise. We had paid a lot of money to stay at the resort and unfortunately it didn't match our needs as it's quite a lively resort and we were looking for something a little more peaceful. The second night they also had a concert on the gardens. The hotel itself is lovely but if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place, then this resort is definitely not for you. The manager, I think her name was Lizzy, was awesome! She offered to move us and when we said we would stay for the second night as we had concerns over where she wanted to move us to, she gave us a substantial discount on our room which we really appreciated.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was great, pool was awesome. Island night was fantastic. Overall stay was fantastic.
Cons: Staff weren’t friendly, always felt like you had to watch your back as they were ripping people off left, right and centre especially at the wedding we attended. My partner can understand Samoan, when I went up to pay for breakfast my partner heard the staff talking to each other and saying to add $30 onto our bill. Assuming for this money to be pocketed. Our rooms were also not serviced. We were keen to extend our stay using the three day July deal that was going on to then be told that the best thing for us to do is email the general manager. Why the heck would we email the general manager when we are at the damn counter ready to book in. Friends of ours who also asked about the deal were told they could have extend their stay using the deal only to be told within 5 minutes that there was no availability. Everyone that we know who stayed at the resort had a bad experience.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Always great place to stay
Cons: Found the service a bit slow this time with the staff not as good Had to chase them for service especially around the pool
9.5 Excellent
Pros: This was probably the nicest hotel I've ever booked. I was expecting a nice, business-class hotel with way access to attractions. Pleasant surprise to discover it's a resort in it's open right, even without beach access, and the staff was very accommodating.
Cons: There was a minor maintenance issue with the bath tub in the first night, but they sent someone by and cleared it right up.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Substantial buffet breakfast, bungalow rooms are lovely, beautiful hotel all round
Cons: Reception staff probably need a bit more training. The rooms in the main building are no good, the carpet is old and you can still smell the mould from when the hotel flooded. I would only stay in the bungalows.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: - Location was great, walking distance to the shop and the best fresh bread ever!! - Staff were awesome, friendly and helpful - Rooms were comfortable and the bed was like a cloud - breakfast was good, coffee and eggs were the best and so much selection
Cons: - Strong smell in the hallways, smelt like varnish good thing is it was only in the hallways and not in the rooms. - We did have a small issue one morning with a small mouse in the room but the staff dealt with it right away, we left for a couple days to Savai’i and came back to a lovely bowl of fruits

Cons: The room I had was a long way from reception the tiles are very slippery when it rains - Staff need to put down more non slip mats to ensure all guests can reach their rooms safely Some type of entertainment -e.g singers -on weekends would be good for travellers
8.8 Excellent

Pros: Everything was super at this place. The staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful. They organise taxis and get in touch with a car hire company who bring the car to the hotel. The room was really spacious and well equipped with views over the sea. We enjoyed the location in Apia where we could walk to the town. The food and restaurant were very good with many local people turning up to dine. Surroundings and ambience were also very relaxing and pleasant. We would definitely have no hesitation in returning.

Pros: The room was spacious, and the location was convenient for the centre of town and only 1km from Farmer Joe supermarket. The grounds were lovely.
Cons: Our room was very dark and looked over the car park. It was very expensive and not good value for money. Breakfast wasn't very good. It was scrambled eggs, bacon so tough you couldn't cut through it, white bread and small pots of yoghurt with tiny amounts of muesli on top. There was no shelf in the bathroom to put your clothes or toiletries on. The sliding bathroom door came off its track and I had to get my husband to reattach it so I could get out of the bathroom.

4.5 Okay
Pros: Unaware, I need to pay an extra. Besides, reception on arrival was discriminating the way I see. I inquired at the front desk ahead of a white couple but I was been attended to after the couples were attended. It took 20 minutes only upon me following up. This was very embarrassing
Cons: Has to pay for internet
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast atmosphere and food was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to town... very friendly and accommodating....you felt very welcomed.
Cons: Parking was limited.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pool, friendly staff, adequate breakfast, comfy fale
Cons: The packs of dogs in the area are dangerous (though easily avoided by travelling in a cab - it's only 3-5 tala and worth it) and noisy, fighting and barking throughout the night - crazy roosters crowing all night long and a lot of traffic noise makes sleeping in the fale difficult to impossible - bring earplugs! Also the mozzies are the fiercest we encountered in Samoa so make sure you have repellant
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We both enjoyed our stay at Vaimoana Resort
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The house staff were great. Very kind and polite
Cons: The room lacked proper air conditioning The top floor building seems to be leaning towards the back of the property The shower and toilet facilities is not great could do with a major renovation. Insufficient Parking for guests. No television in the room The eggs for breakfast were well over cooked. The senior office assistant may need to work on her personal skills when talking to guests who have concerns .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay in Apia. Lovely staff, nice pool. We tried 2 rooms because we did a last minute booking for a second night a both were great.

Pros: Staff very friendly. Talofa Patricia was very helpful
Cons: Bathroom space a little small and not set up for tall people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, from the service to the room to the employees.. very profesional, and top notch employees. Everything I expected, they exceeded them! shout out to Patricia Tupuola, who went above and beyond to make sure that my grandma have a great experience with them and she(grandma) sure did that she couldn't stop talking about it. She even call the hotel her HOME when she visits Apia
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect close to the city, the room was very spacious (compared to other hotels/resorts I have stayed at), aircon and fan ceiling a bliss. Staff members super friendly and always willing to lend a help, I would definately stay here again.
Cons: the only downside I have is the fridge we had in our room was not cold enough (we adjusted the settings to make it more cold) however it didn't make a difference so the bottle of waters we had stored in the fridge were pretty much at room temperature
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very convenient and close to everything
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very very comfortable with good views from a big balcony and big beds and a full kitchen and nice bathroom. A short taxi ride away from town with a shop down the road.
Cons: The pool area was very basic and the pool could be better maintained. Some of the staff were not very friendly and seemed to have specific areas of responsibility. Others were okay. We had to request a late checkout as our flight was delayed and we felt the charge was too high considering our room was not booked.
4.5 Okay
Pros: The location and where it’s located.
Cons: No clean sheets daily, beds are wrapped in the same sheets you used the whole stay, same with pillow cases. Ants in the room, Dishes weren’t clean. Bathroom is too small, space is limited in there. Cleaners would knock early in the morning for cleaning but what are they cleaning? Then I would hear them in Samoan talking about how the lights are still on but these people are still sleeping, that’s not their problem. Not really worth the money I paid.
7.5 Good
Pros: Bed very comfortable! Air conditioned room made for a nice adjustment to the humidity. Staff helpful at providing direction and ideas.
Cons: Nothing. Just simple, basic accomodation with good amenities. It is a longer, duller walk than expected but still easily manageable.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great room with everything you could need and great extras in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed.Helpful staff, value for money.
Cons: There was a tropical storm so we couldn't use the pool! Very thin walls, we heard every word of a (long) telephone conversation between grandparents and numerous grandchildren!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Hot showers and comfy bed.
Cons: On arrival we checked in very late and was told by a unfriendly receptionist that we don't have a booking despite the booking was done 2 months in advanced. I also emailed the hotel the day before we flew to Samoa informing them of our late check in. The receptionist then told us after checking the computer that someone moved our booking for the following day. It wasn't until another lady arrived and pointed out the error to her colleague. Our 8 day stay only one person introduced herself and I commended her friendliness and going the extra mile trying to accommodate our room. Patricia should train all the staff there to smile. She was very helpful resetting my mobile phone. Complimentary breakfast We only ate once the day after we arrived. Good selection of breakfast buffett menu except the samoan banana dish was off. Told the waiter about it and she ignored us. Wheetbix was off so we decided to buy our own food. The second time i decided to go and get some hot food from the dining room to use up our complimentary breakfast I specifically told the lady at the desk of my room number and that I'm getting breakfast to take back to the room and she said ok. There was no apprehension or disagreement on her part to explain to me that there's a "policy" about not allowing food in the room. Until I arrived in the room and a supervisor rang to say there's a policy of not allowing food from the breakfast dining area to bring into the room. I was gobsmacked to be told such a ridiculous policy consider there was no information in the room to let the visitors know about the history of the hotel..menu for lunch and dinner etc. There was no explanation of any do's and dont's about eatery in the room consider we had a oven and fridge freezer in the premium room. It was very rude and disrespectful to be treated that way.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly, very helpful. Service was excellent.

7.0 Good
Pros: I had to leave early in the morning so I didnt have breakfast.
Cons: Walkway to the hotel is muddy should have a concrete footpath there . No securities on the property to look after the safety of visitors.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly
Cons: Aircon on and off at times
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are nice and clean have the tv aircon also a fan. Bathroom is real clean. Location is nice really love it.
Cons: It would be nice if people have their breakfast in their rooms because of mosquitos or a seperate room for quest morning breakfast. But everything else was perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The place was good.i love everything except no outside lite Infront of our room no free wifi like they said apart from that, the place was good friendly people the boss was lovely,
Cons: More lite around the place at night.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: reallyr really good friendly staff good service
Cons: nothing to say everything is good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The property was very close to the metropolitan area. Close to shops, ample parking space, the staff were so helpful and even lended us a rice cooker to use in our room for the duration of our stay. We were initially supposed to stay at the smaller fale with shared bathroom facilities but got upgraded to the en-suite for $60Tala extra because it was empty. The beds were so comfortable and aircon worked excellent. The staff were always helpful and very friendly! The owner was the best. Modern facilities and great sea view. The rooms are separately built so the noise level from one room is minimal to the other! The place also has a bar which has the best view of the other island resort opposite. Overall, I'd rate this one of the best places to stay in Samoa.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything from the point you turn into taumeasina
Cons: No pool bar

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were xcellent. On the go. Service was champion.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Handy for a walk into town. Aircon good for cool off. Good size room but not serviced during my five day stay. Restaurant food was OK but simple menu eg burgers and chips. Breakfast adequate but very basic, white bread only, empty dishes only re-filled when asked, better than nothing. Good airport pickup service.
Cons: A VERY NOISY Hotel at night, bar/nightclub with loud music and shouts of revellers echoing round the hotel until after midnight most nights. The guided tour they booked was just a taxi and driver who asked me where I wanted to go, not a tour guide. TV reception very poor. Poor selection of brochures and no maps. But found maps and a good meal and Fia Fia show at the Tusi Tala 5 min up the road.
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: They charged us $2 every time they called us a cab. Even though it was the same rate foe 2 or 3 guests, when our daughter got sick and had to stay the night with us on our last night and they charged us an extra $52. The breakfast was mostly out if food and they didn't replenish even when asked. They wanted to charge us half the price of a 24 hour stay for a 2 hour later checkout. They said that WIFI was included but charged us $25 for 2 hours of WiFi. Very rude staff except for the cleaning people. We are both in government in American Samoa and travel to Independent Samoa extensively and they have really missed out on a lot of repeat business from local people.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good location and reasonably priced
Cons: Our room was in the older front part of the hotel close to the bar/restaurant. It was very noisy. Staff arriving at 5.15am talking in very loud voices woke us up.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was great. Thank you for the hospitality! Enjoyed my stay very much!
Cons: Nothing. I loved everything.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The staff were amazing and helpful. Room was spacious and decent. Very good deal for value. We enjoyed the chicken hamburger there. Thank you Millenia. Will def be coming back.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: relaxing place to stay with a great bar and restaurant area. Staff were always helpful
6.8 Good
Pros: Location, close to the town. Happy hour 5-8pmtv
Cons: TV reception very poor
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was awesome. Lobby was very comfortable and clean. I enjoy sitting at the lobby.
Cons: Our bathroom appears that something was leaking and really smells awful. Had to close the toilet cover and the door to prevent the smell coming in to the room. Also, had to spend a few hours on first night to kill mosquitoes in the room. There were quite a lot...made me nervous. The towels were quite old and torn.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The room , area , pool side
Cons: They kept telling us different price range for particular things. Like eg. With how much is left to pay for accommodation, how much it cost to use the taxi that was there. Money wise wasn’t an issues for us . It was just that they were trying to rip us off.

6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was comfy and it was close to the hospital which I was visiting every day. The staff were very nice and helpful. The food from the bar/cafe was also very nice.
Cons: Accommodation very tired with lots of cracked tiles on floor. Cold shower which I believe is normal here, one main light didnt work and then the other one in the room stopped working also. The air con controller didnt work properly but that could have been just the batteries. People in next room playing guitar and singing at 1am. Didnt always feel safe there as not great security with street access to rear accommodation.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel were fantastic (especially Joe the owner), they helped with everything that we needed them to. We felt completely at home during our stay and would 100% recommend to others. The bar is a hub for showing sport on their two TVs, with live music several nights of the week. On a Wednesday night they put on a Polynesian night - it was incredible. We went to another at a different hotel and by far the travellers point was better. Great food, entertainment and singing. Could not have asked for a better host for our time in Samoa, if we were to return we'd stay again.
Cons: Nothing.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The place was okay. Accommodation perfect for those on a budget.
Cons: Room was very hot. Broken air con. You’ll be lucky to find parking when the restaurant is full. Walls are so thin. Overall good when you’re on a budget.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything!! Nothing fancy a great place to stay, if you don’t want to spend a fortune on the other hotels this is the place to be, great hotels and staff what more could you ask for!! Twill definitely come back here!!
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that there was nothing to like!!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room was big but it was hot.
Cons: No one cleaned up. Room was hot.
4.3 Okay
Pros: It was t too far to walk to town, took about twenty minutes
Cons: Room wasn't touched for the 6 days I was there, tea, coffee not replaced although nice lady gave me clean towels. Unfriendly staff, some really rude!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff! Friendly and genuine.
Cons: A bit more variety in the Menu.
3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Unexpected added costs. No admin person ever in the office. Bad customer service. Room not ready. Had to help prepare our own room. Not worth the money!
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable and the food in the evenings from Calliope was great. The staff were obliging except the receptionist who was adamant that I was not going to get the free Wifi even though my voucher stated it was free. She said booking.com often got things wrong - even with the rates.
Cons: I showered in cold water for 4 days before I figured that the shower control was the opposite of the sink. Left hot, right cold. Shower left cold, right hot! When I complained about no hot water I was told that it was solar and that there had been not very sunny days. Perhaps seven days was too long to stay here but the 'free' breakfast was very limited and boring. Although the airconditioner worked well getting to the end of the stay it started making loud noises that woke me up and had to be turned off before I could sleep again. When I had to go to the airport I checked out and found that the hotel's systems would not put through the charge on my credit cards. It declined every card and I had to race to an ATM in Apia and withdraw cash. This, of course, means a fee for the transaction, instantly paying interest and no Airpoints rewards. An expensive and disappointing exercise. Incidentally, my cards were accepted by other companies in Apia.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Liked what I saw and the deal advertised for Travellers' Point hotel in Apia on booking.com and booked it for our final night's stay in Samoa. Entrance/Reception is steps away from the bustle of busy road where parking was provided for our Budget hire vehicle. 3 to 5minutes drive from Apia CBD. Lovely as layout. Tranquil. Swimming pools for toddlers and those older. Unit at ground level was clean. Hot shower, air-con, tv, fridge, tea-making supplies. Had drinks, dinner and breakfast there in the large restaurant. Its tropical so be prepared for mozzies. The cats are gorgeous.
Cons: The lighting in our unit was very poor. Natural light restricted by a very large water tank outside our ranch-slider. I think a very big person would find accessing the shower a bit of a manoeuvre. Walk carefully, expect to deal with unevenness in paving and steps. I got the feeling some staff seemed on edge, kind of uptight.

Samoa Tradition Resort - Apia - Building
20
6.2 Good (22 reviews)
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: The staff were friendly. The Fiafia night was excellent.
Cons: Hotel not expecting us even though we had booked and paid in advance. Room not ready for our arrival and had to wait for them to make up the apartment. Missing louvres in the windows, light bulbs not working, broken light fittings, general state of disrepair and lack of maintenance. Swimming pool was dirty (could not see the bottom) and my son got so many cuts and bruises from rough finishing in the pool that we stopped him from swimming there. I travel a lot, and for the price we paid, this was very poor value for money. I would not recommend it except for the excellent Fiafia night (although you don't have to stay there to go to the Fiafia night)
