Excellent 10.0
Pros: This property was beautiful with a very friendly and helpful host, ideal location (less than 10 minutes drive to Carcassonne Airport) lovely garden/swimming pool and an excellent breakfast.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We really loved the garden with the pool. The host was extremely accommodating, she recommended a restaurant in the evening because it was a Sunday and most places were closed. Breakfast was great, the host made her own yogurts.
Cons: Not much to be honest, the rooms are clean, check-in and check out easy.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved our romantic room with a comfortable bed, bath and a lot of space. Also the swimmingpool was really nice. Most of all the hosts Patrica and André are very kind, warm and helpfull. They know the area very well so they gave good advice where to go. At last the breakfast is super good. Every morning there is a homemade cake, fresh fruit and homemade yogurt.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The property had beautiful french feel, very clean and an exceptional kind hostess. Perfect place for walking and relaxation
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It's a beautiful place nearby Carcassonne. The swimmingpool in de garden is nice. And we loved the home-made breakfast! The room is also nice and clean. We got information for Carcassonne from the owner. She was very kind!
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nicely renovated old house in a small town near Carcassonne with beautiful terrace/garden with pool. Very quiet and 10 mins to drive to the the medieval city (Car/Motorbike mandatory). Perfect service and great breakfast with regional products. Host is just perfect!
Cons: Steep stairs up to 2nd floor which is a little difficult with heavy luggage. Older folks or women might have some trouble to bring a larger suitcase up.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Personal touch. Patricia went out of her way to make our short stay memorable. Rooms, breakfast and pool/terrace were outstanding.
Cons: Location. Really need a car as there are no shops/restaurants nearby.

Good 7.0
Pros: The location was exceptional. Juliette was very welcoming and informative about the local attractions. She really was a sweetheart. The shower was good and we enjoyed having a refrigerator in our room.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit less than typical for a B & B of this kind. Not having air conditioning in our room was also disappointing. Some of the other rooms in the main building were air-conditioned, so be sure to specify.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A lovely B&B with a very welcoming host. Lovely location as well.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very friendly host who welcomed us, the room was very well decorated and clean and had a separate toilet from the bathroom. The breakfast was very good with many local products. Also the pool facility and the turtles were great :)
Cons: The house is old and therefore a bit noisy, but don’t let that keep you from going
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Juliette was an excellent host! Breakfast was great.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good location (easy to walk to the fortified part or the of town). Very peaceful place to stay.
Cons: Didn’t realise we had to pay in cash as cards were not accepted.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was excellent - refreshing pool and Juliette was a charming and helpful host. Very good location for all attractions.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect. Lovely host, very clean and comfortable garden room, good breakfast but the location could not have been better for visiting The City.

Cons: nothing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Modern comfortable rooms. Very kind personal
Cons: Everything fine
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Located within walking distance of the castle this property was tucked away at the bottom of the hill within a Beautifully maintained vegetable garden. We had a suite due to our two dogs of which was lovely and spacious with a terrace.
Cons: Limited seating to the restaurant of which we could not get into for dinner. Maybe next time we will book in advance.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast very good. Greeting and explanation excellent
Cons: We were happy with what was on offer
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location - close to the medieval city and excellent restaurants around the hotel. Short walk across the bridge to the new town. Beautiful views from the terrace.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Friendly staff
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The room was big.
Cons: The value, very expensive. The property is not nice, nothing like the pictures. The room was dark, the common areas were messy. Don't recommend.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location, friendliness
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Perfect location, friendly staff and garage to keep the bikes. Big bathroom with great shower (temperature and pressure)
Cons: The mattress was too soft and used, it had a "hole" in the middle of it. It needed to be updated with a more firm one.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room was large and bed very comfortable. Rooftop terrace with amazing view of carcassonne old city!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: everyone was very helpful and the hotel was very homely. a lovely garden where we had a quiet read and indeed, breakfast. excellent location.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: WIFI, staff, room, 3rd floor patio view were all great!
Excellent 8.2
Pros: The staff was cordial and helpful. There is a terrace on the top floor with a spectacular view of the Castle. This alone made the place worth the cost. The rooms were spacious and charmingly decorated. We had a room to sleep 4 ppl and it was comfortable for everyone. I definitely recommend it.
Cons: The air conditioner was not working. The bathroom had a strong sewage-like smell (we kept the window wide open and closed the bedroom door to contain the smell). The breakfast was priced higher than the content's worth.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The room was lovely and spacious; beautifully decorated and full of charm. Breakfast was very nice with extremely tasty bread and homemade jams. The location is very convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the medieval city centre.
Cons: The wi-fi was patchy at best.
Good 7.0
Pros: Facilities. The apartment was very nice and comfy.
Cons: Breakfast was limited. A little bit expensive.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: La Maison Vielle in Carcassonne is possibly the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at, no exaggeration! Located right in the centre of town, between the old and new sections of Carcassonne, this guesthouse offers a perfect starting point to discover this gem in the south of France by foot. The house is run by two sisters who quite obviously put lots of effort and love into it, making us feel at home from the very first time we entered. Our room was very large, immaculately clean and offered the flair of an old country retreat, with delicately chosen bits and pieces of decoration. And the huge and very comfy bed was the icing on the cake! Breakfast is served in a cute and romantic patio, which could just as well be the site of a high class restaurant. We could hardly imagine a better start to the day than by enjoying our morning coffee in the shadow of the old olive tree and with some nice French pastry offered by the superbly forthcoming landlady. We are definitely hoping to come back and have already recommended La Maison Vielle in Carcassonne to many friends! Thank you for this wonderful stay!
Cons: Nothing, really! The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no parking nearby. You can stop to unload your luggage, but be prepared for then having to park the car some 5 walking minutes away.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location and Style.
Cons: Would of been nice to know. Summer months you cannot park outside the Hotel. You have to park at the 2 free car parks 2 mins away. Not a problem, but when you arrive you don’t know this and cause a bit of hassle.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful space! Excellent service and high quality bed, linens, decor. The location is perfect! Just outside the walled city with great restaurants all around.
Cons: The wifi sometimes did not work.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It’s too hard to single out just one thing about this property. I loved EVERYTHING about it! The location was outstanding! The staff was fantastic and the hotel was charming!
Cons: I loved ALL of it!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: A beautiful room with lots of space! The breakfast was exceptional, consisting of lovely homemade cakes and jams.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very good breakfast served by a 1-star Michelin restaurant, hotel is beautiful in the inside and outside as well, staff is kind and helpful, rooms are amazing with nice views, space and bed. Overall I've had an incredible experience and it was one of the best places I've ever stayed.
Cons: The price - If you are only looking for privileged location, keep in mind there are more (and more affordable) options inside the Cité. However, if you dream of visiting Carcassonne like I did and seek a full and unforgettable experience, it is worth every cent.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Luxury in a medieval city. Staff was welcoming and accommodating. We were early so they provided a hot tea and then a tour. Also gave us lunch recommendations which was perfect. Room is large with a nice view and small balcony, we were upgraded. We had dinner in their Michelin star restaurant, extraordinary. They helped arrange a taxi on our way out. Overall great stay.
Cons: It will be expensive so for many understand this might be a one time experience.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: wonderful location - beautiful view. romantic dining on the terrace in the evening
Cons: the food in the Barbacanne was overpriced and very poor. our room was very small.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: This was an incredible hotel in an incredible walled city. The Hotel de la Cite is the only 5-star hotel in Carcassonne and the only hotel actually located within the fortified walls of the city. Our suite was in the newer section of the hotel with a patio that looked upon the city fortifications and the town and countryside beyond. The restaurant was superb. and we cannot recommend this hotel enough.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great place lovely staff good location
Cons: Restaurant was full so could not eat in hotel, and no food during the afternoon which was disappointing as we wanted a snack with our drinks before we went out for dinner, but nothing available in the hotel so had to go into the town and ended up not having dinner
Excellent 10.0
The hotel is one of only two or three that's directly inside the medieval castle in Carcassone. This makes an ideal vantage point for exploring the small city. The inside of the hotel is somewhat dated, but it's still interesting to be staying literally inside a medieval castle. There's a slightly odd small in the lobby area, but the room itself smells fine. The bed is very comfortable, with a strong shower and good bath products. There's a coffee machine, minibar, and complementary chocolates and waters refreshed regularly. TV has international channels including CNN and BBC World. The staff is professional, helpful, and friendly. We had an excellent breakfast on our first day, and the reception team helped us organize a lunch reservation at a nearby winery. My one suggestion for improvement would be in the logistics around arrivals at the property. Google Maps directs you to the wrong place, so you have to call and get the directions. Then, a hotel employee a very charming and welcoming young man meets you at that location and give you two seemingly cryptic choices - you can have the free car par, or the paid one, but both are quite close to each other apparently. We took the free one, which required first following the hotel employee's car to the parking lot, leaving the car there, then getting in his car with our bags and driving directly to the hotel. Apparently it has something to do with the fact that not all cars are allowed inside the castle walls. Instead, I would suggest sending all guests an email with the exact location of the car park in the first place, then offering a phone number to arrange an arrival time, and meeting there directly for an escort to the hotel. Also, for a five star hotel, I'd expect a nicer escort car than the rickety mini-size hatchback we were picked up in.
Excellent 8.5
Pros: LIkes: Fabulous view of the City over the Walls Overall feel of the hotel Comfort of the pillows and bed Best location for staying in the Old City Terrific breakfast Complimentary castle tickets
Cons: Dislikes Car has to be at least 200+ yards from the hotel--no private auto access--they use a small van to take you to the hotel. The room we were in was quite small--the closet door backed up to another needed door--constant banging. Chair for the desk had arms--could not go under the desk--another small room issue Partial glass separator for shower in the bath does a lousy job of keeping water in the tub Needs more electrical outlets--especially around the desk area

Excellent 10.0
Pros: A piece of paradise! A beautiful house decorated with great vintage elegance and classic style. Our room was delightful, comfy bed with attractive painted panels of fruit and shells and swags, matching armchairs, sweeping curtains, mirrors, all coordinated. Warm floorboards kind on the feet (unlike many places). The bathroom was divine! Really stylish, the vintage style sink and mirror also decorated with painted panels of shells etc., all striking and historic-looking, tasteful tiles in stone patterns, it was an ideal bathroom, with shades of Roman baths. The bath itself was lovely and deep, with a slope for the head and armrests inside, excellent water pressure, lots of hot water, filled up in no time, brilliant for relaxing in. The dining room and lounge were also beautifully laid out with a glorious room divider panel, candlesticks, etc., and comfortable chairs. Breakfast was very nice, the coffee some of the nicest I've had in France, real orange juice freshly squeezed, hot fluffy croissants, very fine bread. (Cheese and meats were on offer, but we stick to croissants etc.). The hostess was very kind and brought us seconds, including hot milk for my coffee. Another time we would like to go when it's warmer to try out the garden which looked delightful, and also to have supper there (it smelt delicious). Highly recommended, especially if you care for style, classical elegance, and comfort. Very importantly they welcomed our elderly beloved canine, who very much appreciated the warmth and coziness of the room.
Cons: The door code system is a little tricky if you're not great with such things, but only some people would find it any issue. We can't comment on the parking, as we found off road parking literally next to the house, so didn't need the private parking.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Hotel was 10 mins from old city we arrived early and got straight into our room 😁our hosts gave us maps and excellent instructions for walking to the city. Breakfast was served in an elegant room and was very good. We left our car for a final half day of sightseeing at no extra cost.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike. The colder October weather stopped us from sitting out in the garden
Excellent 9.0
Cons: Great location and very nice hosts! Amazing breakfast!!!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: location, location, location! Close to a main road but not a whisper is heard even in our large en-suite bedroom beside it on the ground floor. Private parking allows guests freedom to drive where they want while both "old" & "new" Carcassonne are within a comfortable and pleasant 20 minutes walk. Our room was large, airy & very comfortable. Breakfast was beautifully served and a lounge with comfortable seating gave space & time to relax, consider plans for going outside even into the garden where there are chairs, shade and a carp pool. Our hosts were the best too!
Cons: Nothing but we understand a pool for humans not carp is being planned so that'd be an "extra" but not missed on our 4 night stay. There is no lift and while our room was on the ground floor the presence of stairs might have to be considered by some though not us.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: From the moment we arrived we all felt very welcome. Even Harper our dog was warmly welcomed and free to roam anywhere she liked. Marianne and Stephane are very kind and relaxed. Breakfast was good. Fruit. Baguette. Croissant. And a boiled egg. Ham, cheese and a glass of fresh orange juice. Simple and more than adequate. Parking is free and on location and the location is perfect. Our room was spacious, classic and clean. Good towels, great shower. What more do you want.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Within walking distance to the cité and many restaurants, and the river, secure parking, efficient and friendly welcome, great breakfast, comfortable bedding in a large tastefully decorated room with double windows so you cannot hear the road noise, and a huge tub for a relaxing bath at the end of the day. A perfect stay.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Hospitable and helpful staff in a wonderful location with a large pool and golf course. An excellent restaurant with good service and mouthwatering desserts. A knowledgeable and friendly sommelier.
Cons: No bathrobes to go to the pool.
Good 6.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast on the patio. Good selection of tasty food
Cons: We booked this hotel specifically for the restaurant and were told on arrival that it was closed for a private party. Apparently they sent an email, but this was to a work email and I was on vacation, so did not see it. We got pushed off to the bistro. This was noisy, good staff, quite attentive. Starter was OK. We both had steak, which was like shoe leather or old donkey. we skipped dessert. This was a €500 for one night. In my world, that needs to be a special treat that is memorable for the right reasons.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: All staff members were excellent and made us feel so welcome. They really couldn’t have done more for us and were attentive and customer-aware without being irritating. The breakfasts and gourmet meal were superb, and the spaces most relaxing. We loved it and would very much like to come back!

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Comfortable bed. Clean room. Really nice location. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. We were made to feel really welcome.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great room, best shower ever. Good beds, wifi. Very good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Top location very close to the medieval city and the new centre too.
Cons: -
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nice localisation. Clean and recent room. Very nice decoration. Exceptional home-made breakfast. Sympathetic owner.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lovely place with pleasant and accommodating staff, great placement in between the Bastide and the Cité with both within walking distance. Probably one of the nicest hotel rooms I have stayed in so far, had a cool minimalist feel to it.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location is very good next to the old city, and with the street with many bars and good atmosphere. The stuff is very helpful.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Spacious and quiet room, comfy bed, very nice owner who went out of her way to help out when we asked for an extension lead. Centrally located in relation to the old monumental walled town and the new one. Though I would not recommend visiting either on a Sunday as pretty much everything is closed!
Cons: There was no TV in the room, which we thought was rather odd. Some kind of firewall on the Wi-Fi system made streaming TV series and movies on our laptops impossible. The shower head made a weeping noise when the water run through it, but this is really being fussy and we clearly did not mind it!
Excellent 10.0
Both Jacqueline and Fred are the most lovely people I have ever come across. They made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped into their beautiful home. I cannot fault this chateau at all. They absolutely welcome you with open arms from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. Our room was clean, tidy, warm, on a grand scale! The views are spectacular and we went in January. We stayed in a room right at the top and the stairs were a killer all 100 of them so remember to collect everything when you are going out. Very passionate people and glad to have made their acquaintance. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Late check in, good size rooms, comfortable bed, good breakfast
Cons: Nothing at all
Good 7.0
Pros: Location.
Cons: Room was very small for 3 people and the toilet had an unpleasant smell
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff are super helpful and it’s very close to the airport
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very nice and friendly staff Nice pool
Okay 5.0
Pros: Friendly staff Great location next to the airport.
Cons: Very basic restaurant no heating available in the bedrooms
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very well run hotel, good beds, decent breakfast and as good,if not better, than any hotels of this that we have stayed at over the years.
Cons: No issues all good as expected.
Good 7.0
Pros: That it was a huge change from the first hotel. I think the standard i m used to does not realky fit this kind of stay but it was ok.
Cons: I had to leave my first booking to come here. Of course compared to the first one it looked like i moved to the Emirates Palace the only 7 star hotel in the world. joke aside it was ok nothing fancy but at least i could rest after a long day of work.

Okay 5.0
Cons: It was bad for the price. For the price I would expect more spacious room (there was just place for a bed) and better equiped bathroom (f.e. not 1layer toilet paper)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Good 7.0
Pros: Parking I think the bathroom have been the cleanest in our 14 days France road trip.
Cons: Rooms outdated but carefully maintained by man's hand. Once the hotel must have been on high level.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great room with wonderful view from my window. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Breakfast very good. Location was not near La Cite but close enough if you have a car.
Cons: The water pressure. But we were in the 3d floor of an old building
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Since I was traveling by car, having a secure parking was important - hence no complains here
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Old traditional French hotel. Well maintained and confortable. Large, clean rooms.

Okay 5.0
Pros: It was a safe bed after a long drive A workmans budget hotel NOT easy to find from the autoroute once you are in the industrial estate. SIGNAGE needed. Scarey afterdark search for woman alone
Cons: The pillows were mean lumpy bumpy and uncomfortable in the extreme
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Staff kindness, and hotel location.
Cons: Lack of hair-dryer and a second towel. Small breakfast area, and breakfast variety.
Good 7.0
Pros: fantastic for the price
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly helpful staff
Cons: Not clear that no evening meal. No English speaking TV.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: the staff were very friendly and welcoming, we had our dog with us and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was good, and it’s not far from the motorway for onward travel. I would definitely recommend this hotel if your on route and want a bed for the night.
Cons: it would have been nice to maybe have somewhere on site where you could get food at night, rather than go out. The room could have had a kettle where you could make a cup of tea/ coffee, luckily I bought my own kettle, cups, and coffee.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: An experienced management .. it all went well.
Cons: In common with many hotels, its a good idea to take a travel plug for basins and baths.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: It didn't start until 0730 so missed it.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Excellent evening meal
Okay 4.0
Pros: Car parking was straightforward.
Cons: Really disappointed here. 1st impressions were not good with a plaque on the counter declaring "I'm the boss" and even checking in took considerably longer than it should have. I'm not sure what the receptionist was doing but there was no communication with me during this time. External carpet stairwell to the room was matted with what looked like dog hair and filthy. Wooden flooring in the room moved when I moved. Entire bathroom was a tiny one piece plastic module stuck in the corner of the room, something akin to what you would see on a plane. Towels and bedding appeared to be clean but towels had long ago lost all comfort and appeared washed out. Mattress appeared to be sat on top of a plywood box and butted up to the wall with no headboard. Did not feel the price I paid reflected the facilities/comfort of the room. Couldn't wait to check out!
Good 7.0
Pros: This is a small modern hotel in the ZI, ideal for a night before flying from the nearby airport or for accessing Carcassonne from a nearby bus stop. We were made very welcome at reception and the breakfast of cereal, ham, eggs, cheese, bread, croissants, yoghurt, homemade jam and tea, coffee and juice was available from 7.00 and met our needs perfectly. Everything was very clean, reception, dining area and the bedroom and ensuite bathroom, with a comfy bed. Tourist information and maps available at reception.
Cons: The hotel is described as 0. 6 km from Carcassonne airport and therefore we thought we could easily walk there with minimal luggage. However the walk involves crossing two busy main roads without crossing points and therefore was not very safe. Our room seemed a bit stuffy and the ensuite bathroom is tiny, but in fact this is not really a problem for one night only. Despite being advertised as offering food Monday to Friday evenings, there was no dinner available on our Friday evening and also no restaurants open nearby. We had to get supplies from a local supermarket, directed there from reception, again with busy roads to negotiate! Despite all of this, we would use the hotel again.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Breakfast v poor. Tiny rooms - felt like a small cabin on a ship. Hi
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very small and basic accommodation fine for short stay, also very near airport. Delightful hosts, very helpful.
Cons: Fine for the one night stay near the airport we required
Good 7.1
Pros: It is a cheap place to shower and crash. But it not something u won’t to spend time in. More for the all day sight seers. The castle is a must see.
Cons: Smoking happens in rooms and no privacy to have the blinds open on the bottom level to the car park. Otherwise it good for what it is.

Good 6.0
Pros: Self check-in very useful for late arrival
Cons: Door and lock damaged. Could not secure from inside.
Poor 1.0
Pros: the location is not that bad if you are just passing by
Cons: overpriced smelly and tiny room
Good 7.0
Pros: It was clean and big enough for one night, hot powerful shower,
Cons: Road very noisy, maybe better on other side of building.
Good 7.0
Pros: The location is very good for the airport(5 minutes), access to the main motorway system (5 minutes), and closeness of shops and restaurants (2 minutes). Easy check in and departure.
Cons: If your room is on the side of the main road, it can get noisy at times. The shower: if you are on the tall side (I'm 1.9m tall and 105Kg), it can involve a lot of "elbow banging" on the cubicle sides!
Poor 1.0
Pros: Absolutely nothing nothing nothing
Cons: The hotel is called premiere class it should be called the last class. I arrived at 21:30 (the plane was delayed) they simply refused to let me in! The hotel was closed.i never ever heard such a ridiculous rule?????, i got in some how begging for my life. Then got to the room it was smelly .once in you are already out! so small and very hot. The Ac was on heater. Just could not sleep i had to leave the door open-simply unreal. In the morning after a sleepless night When i complained the answer was it is cold now we use the heater Ac no more!!!!! I thought i was the one to decide in what room temperature i would like to enjoy. Anyway; i told them my work said i would have breakfast included and of course they refused. This hotel should not be offered or listed in Booking.Com .the local prison might be a better option
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Absolutely spotless
Cons: More pillows
Good 7.0
Pros: Good value for money. We normally stay in this hotel as it is right in the middle coming from the south of France towards the west. it is very close to the autoroute and it offers all you need to spend the night and continue with your journey afterwards. They allow dogs which comes handy for us as we always travel with our pet.
Cons: Cleanliness could improve.
Good 7.0
Pros: It was great for the location as I was catching early flight
Cons: I thought the breakfast could have been a little bit better from what I could see there where no cereals or milk for coffee so it's bread and jam and yogurt
