Excellent 10.0
Pros: The property had beautiful french feel, very clean and an exceptional kind hostess. Perfect place for walking and relaxation
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It's a beautiful place nearby Carcassonne. The swimmingpool in de garden is nice. And we loved the home-made breakfast! The room is also nice and clean. We got information for Carcassonne from the owner. She was very kind!
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Nicely renovated old house in a small town near Carcassonne with beautiful terrace/garden with pool. Very quiet and 10 mins to drive to the the medieval city (Car/Motorbike mandatory). Perfect service and great breakfast with regional products. Host is just perfect!
Cons: Steep stairs up to 2nd floor which is a little difficult with heavy luggage. Older folks or women might have some trouble to bring a larger suitcase up.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Personal touch. Patricia went out of her way to make our short stay memorable. Rooms, breakfast and pool/terrace were outstanding.
Cons: Location. Really need a car as there are no shops/restaurants nearby.
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Room was hot, it was smelly and not appropriate
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Patricia makes great breakfast, house is redone in old style, very elegant with pool

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good location (easy to walk to the fortified part or the of town). Very peaceful place to stay.
Cons: Didn’t realise we had to pay in cash as cards were not accepted.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was excellent - refreshing pool and Juliette was a charming and helpful host. Very good location for all attractions.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect. Lovely host, very clean and comfortable garden room, good breakfast but the location could not have been better for visiting The City.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great French t breakfast, lovely host.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great Location to explore... on site parking, Juliette very helpful, and wonderful breakfast !
Cons: -
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The location is perfect. A peaceful haven within easy walking distance of restaurants, the Citie, the river, the Canal du Midi, the New City. Juliette speaks perfect English and is full of really helpful information on where to eat, what to see etc. Our room was spacious with a view of the castle which was a bit surreal, especially at night. The room has a kettle and you can also make drinks in the dining room, plus buy wine by the bottle/glass on an honesty basis. There is secure off road parking.
Cons: There was very little to dislike. We had a few mosquitos (not the properties fault!). It would perhaps have been nice to have had some freshly chopped fruit at breakfast. Paying similar to an hotel the servicing and replenishing of the room could have been more consistent but I know Juliette would have supplied anything extra if we had asked for it.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: This was a a real delight! We booked a room in the villa and were delighted to find that we were in the garden annexe - our own little pad, close to the main kitchen in the house. The room was fresh, beautifully decorated and laid out and scrupulously clean. Our host was charming and explained everything to us, including how we'd find breakfast in the morning (we were leaving early), how the gate and code worked, what to see in the city and which restaurants we should try. We were only here for one day / one night but it rounded our holiday off wonderfully. We felt comfortable, relaxed and very well looked after.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very comfortable room with spacious bathroom. Nice and helpful staff. Perfect location to visit La cité.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good breakfast nice touch with the home made jams Lovely hosts
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good location, excellent breakfast choice, helpful secure garage space to store bikes
Cons: Very small room but comfortable enough
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Adorable hotel managed by very nice people who will give you a map, pointing out the things to do and recommend restaurants. Our room on the first floor was perfect for us and had a spacious bathroom. The rooftop terrace is a no miss, must be one of the best views of the Cité that you can get, by day sunset and night. And an adorable garden were you can have your breakfast just rounds up the experience perfectly.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Brilliant check in, fantastic staff who gave us lots of support and help with any requests. Breakfast was delightful and served in the garden with views over the old city and the castle. Perfect location to tour the old city.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lovely hotel in a beautiful old street at the bottom of the hill from the historic city of Carcassone. First of all the staff were so nice and welcoming. We were able to book a parking space in their garage which is in the same building as the hotel. With a car full following a 2 week trip, we felt that this was the safest option otherwise there are 2 large car parks a 5 mns walk away. We stayed in the family room on the top floor right next to the panoramic terrace which has a beautiful view of the castle. The room had a little second bedroom for the children which was perfect. Very clean. Breakfast was taken in their lovely courtyard. There is a 10 mns walk up a hill to the old city along some quiet streets. A wide variety of restaurants in the same street but if travelling during high season, strongly recommend you book table in advance as very popular. All in all, highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: As it's in an old building, there is no lift (or so I believe) so if you have difficulty climbing stairs, it may be difficult, especially with suitcases.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast is excellent. Delicious breads, variety of foods and the beautiful garden tables. Go up to terras in the roof, you will see magnificent Carcasson castle and sunrise. No other choice than this hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: WIFI, staff, room, 3rd floor patio view were all great!
Excellent 8.2
Pros: The staff was cordial and helpful. There is a terrace on the top floor with a spectacular view of the Castle. This alone made the place worth the cost. The rooms were spacious and charmingly decorated. We had a room to sleep 4 ppl and it was comfortable for everyone. I definitely recommend it.
Cons: The air conditioner was not working. The bathroom had a strong sewage-like smell (we kept the window wide open and closed the bedroom door to contain the smell). The breakfast was priced higher than the content's worth.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Located within walking distance of the castle this property was tucked away at the bottom of the hill within a Beautifully maintained vegetable garden. We had a suite due to our two dogs of which was lovely and spacious with a terrace.
Cons: Limited seating to the restaurant of which we could not get into for dinner. Maybe next time we will book in advance.
Excellent 9.2
Cons: Wifi was spotty ⁷8
Excellent 9.2
Pros: very modern and comfortable room. big washroom and nice terrace. Great 2 Michelin restaurant
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I liked the room, the staff, the breakfast. I also liked the position,we could get to the citadel quickly.
Cons: Maybe you should change the towels.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Lovely quiet room with every facility thought of. Very clean and comfortable. Only draw back internet did not work at all. The restaurant was the most amazing experience of culinary skill. An exploration of flavours and artistry with food. Exceptional!
Cons: No internet. No view from hotel of Carcassonne city.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Unique opportunity staying in a medieval castle
Cons: Pricing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location!
Cons: Booked out dinner so had to search for a restaurant.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff were first rate, not cookie cutter but fun individuals who went above and beyond. The room was quiet with the most comfortable bed. Slept like the proverbial. Fab public rooms.
Cons: Accommodation a little dated. Food in the restaurant was good but not very exciting.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location. Lovely room with a view of the ancient Carcassone. The hotel was a very modern hotel set back in time. A great experience.Off site Complimentary parking where we were shuttled right to the hotel door.
Cons: Difficult to get to parking.
Good 7.0
Pros: The stunning hotel grounds and surrounding area. Charming staff.
Cons: Breakfast was lovely but the restaurant seemed a bit OTT. We chose not to eat because of unappealing menu. Gizzards and sprays don’t make my mouth water.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: An absolutely stunning hotel located within the walls of the incredible medieval city. This is a one off hotel and an experience for any travellers wanting to get immersed in the rich culture and heritage of Carcassonne. Whilst we've visited before, this was our first stay in this incredible hotel. We were on our way back to our home in France so it was going to be a one night stopover. Within a few minutes we had arranged to stay another night! The hotel, the rooms, the facilities - just superb quality. The staff are also incredible - all very friendly, personable and helpful. We will definitely return!
Cons: Our only tiny gripe is that the bar was a little expensive! €20 for an Old Fashioned and €17 for a glass of bubbly. That said, if you have a cocktail on the terrace, the views make it worth it!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Excellent location in the old town and walking distance to everywhere. Beautiful building, oozing with character and charm. Paid for private parking outside the old city walls was excellent and the awaiting hotel car immediately drove the tight streets to the hotel, and magically our bags appeared in our room. Staff were polite and helpful for all of our most interesting and informative city visit.
Cons: The room, and particularly bathroom, wasn't properly cleaned on both days of our stay, which could easily be seen when the sun shone in. Sloppy.
Good 7.0
Cons: Attention of bar and restaurant staff
Excellent 10.0
Excellent 8.5
Pros: LIkes: Fabulous view of the City over the Walls Overall feel of the hotel Comfort of the pillows and bed Best location for staying in the Old City Terrific breakfast Complimentary castle tickets
Cons: Dislikes Car has to be at least 200+ yards from the hotel--no private auto access--they use a small van to take you to the hotel. The room we were in was quite small--the closet door backed up to another needed door--constant banging. Chair for the desk had arms--could not go under the desk--another small room issue Partial glass separator for shower in the bath does a lousy job of keeping water in the tub Needs more electrical outlets--especially around the desk area

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Location was fantastic, right at the start of the old medieval city but also just a short walk into The Bastide and new town. The whole property was super stylish and spotlessly clean. Really friendly staff
Cons: There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like.
Good 7.0
Pros: Comfortable self-service apartment. Easy access to the medieval city. Air conditioner was a life saver in the heat of summer.
Cons: While there was no noise from the street, the walls are poorly insulated from noise. Voices from adjoining staircase and apartments carry through. Same for courtyard where guests have breakfast.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Spacious and beautifully decorated rooms with large separate shower room (barbicane) or in room shower (Dame Carcas). The Dame Carcas was exceptionally large with high ceilings. We went in August when temperatures were around 39 degrees and both rooms were cool and comfortable ( air conditioning). Lounge and outside dining area were also very cool, atmospheric and evocative of the beauty of the area. Face masks were worn indoors and breakfast served outside. It was easy to maintain social distancing. The location was exceptional, at the foot of the old bridge and right at the start of the restaurants, cafes and shops on the Rue Trivalle, less than 10 minute walk to both the Old City (great view from just outside the door) and New City. The hosts, Catherine and Beatrice, were both very friendly and helpful, and provided helpful suggestions for activities and also recommendations for shopping and dining. This place is a gem!
Cons: A very, very minor point and almost feel bad writing it but breakfast could have been a bit more varied but this is beyond a minor quibble.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location brilliant. A short walk to the Old Medieval City, restaurants and new city. Staff very helpful, pleasant and all spoke English.
Cons: N/A
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The size and decor of the room which contained two lovely comfy chairs + settee. Large walk in shower and good quality shower, shampoo and hand gel. Location was equal distance from Old Cite and New Cite.
Cons: Not having individual tables for breakfast. Only large table seating 10 guests available.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The house is very well located, only 10 minutes walk from the city walls. The bedroom was lovely decorated and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and the breakfast was exceptional. This is definitely a place I will come back to for my next visit.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: good variety for breakfast. Not sure about sharing table with fellow guests first thing in the morning.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Homely atmosphere, tasteful & stylish decor. Catherine was friendly and helpful, thank you :)
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Tasteful furnishings and a great breakfast.

Good 7.0
Pros: The location. Room was clean
Cons: Well, first of all the breakfast was not what I expected for a french hotel. Instant coffee, basic stuff. Really nothing special. No option to pay with a card which for me is very inconvenient.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Elegantly modernized classic building, ideally located between the walled city and the Bastide Saint-Louis. Well sound-proofed room kept out traffic noise. The host was kind enough to wait to greet us outside his normal hours (he's normally not available between 13:00 and 17:00 hrs) and provided helpful sightseeing and dining recommendations.
Good 7.0
Pros: Lovely B&B and big rooms. The bathrooms are lovely too. Looks clean and the beds are comfy. Good for parking too.
Cons: The breakfast wasn't great, as it was inside during Covid we felt a bit uncomfortable sharing a table with other guests. It would've been nicer and safer to eat outside.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location, reasonable price, nice garden and beutiful equipment of the house
Cons: Revolving bed, staff speak very difficult English
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Warm welcome, generous breakfast, large & charming room in an ideal location to walk to dinner...and a beautiful view of the castle from the room...
Good 7.0
Pros: Good location, secure parking, large room good bed, plenty of storage. The lady owner Kindly Did our laundry for a small charge, breakfast good. The female breakfast waitress/cleaner was very attentive, friendly and helpful.
Cons: Stairs to room were a problem as, no help to take luggage (heavy bags to the room) the male host/owner was happy to watch my wife struggle with the luggage as he stood by and watched, therefore I had to carry all 3 heavy cases 1 by 1 as he watched with no offer to help.

Good 6.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast on the patio. Good selection of tasty food
Cons: We booked this hotel specifically for the restaurant and were told on arrival that it was closed for a private party. Apparently they sent an email, but this was to a work email and I was on vacation, so did not see it. We got pushed off to the bistro. This was noisy, good staff, quite attentive. Starter was OK. We both had steak, which was like shoe leather or old donkey. we skipped dessert. This was a €500 for one night. In my world, that needs to be a special treat that is memorable for the right reasons.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: All staff members were excellent and made us feel so welcome. They really couldn’t have done more for us and were attentive and customer-aware without being irritating. The breakfasts and gourmet meal were superb, and the spaces most relaxing. We loved it and would very much like to come back!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Good location ...correct food
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The location is great, the pool, the staff and the cuisine as well!
Cons: Our bathroom and bedroom needed serious renovation
Excellent 9.0
Pros: food superb. breakfast with homemade pastries and jams. gastronomic dinner well worth it.
Good 7.0
Pros: Location and room and excellent staff
Cons: the food could have been better and less expensive
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We loved the pool, including the service provided there. We loved the friendliness and sense of humor of the dining room staff, and the staff behind the reception desk were very helpful. The Michelin star restaurant outdid itself in elegance and style, and the staff were engaging.
Cons: We were disappointed that there was no food available upon evening arrival on Sunday, so we had to go out and find a restaurant.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Lovely place with pleasant and accommodating staff, great placement in between the Bastide and the Cité with both within walking distance. Probably one of the nicest hotel rooms I have stayed in so far, had a cool minimalist feel to it.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location is very good next to the old city, and with the street with many bars and good atmosphere. The stuff is very helpful.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Spacious and quiet room, comfy bed, very nice owner who went out of her way to help out when we asked for an extension lead. Centrally located in relation to the old monumental walled town and the new one. Though I would not recommend visiting either on a Sunday as pretty much everything is closed!
Cons: There was no TV in the room, which we thought was rather odd. Some kind of firewall on the Wi-Fi system made streaming TV series and movies on our laptops impossible. The shower head made a weeping noise when the water run through it, but this is really being fussy and we clearly did not mind it!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect. The food in the restaurant made with inspiration, by nature and with love. Parking in front of the hotel. You can walk to the castle and to the city.
Okay 5.4
Pros: O.K. no warm food
Cons: a little more comfort, perhaps a bed side rug.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Sophie was a fabulous hostess. She went above and beyond to make us welcome. She prepared a very nice vegetarian meal for me, which was not on the menu and allowed us to use one of her TVs to watch a rugby match, which my husband wanted to see. The young man who works with her in the restaurant was very pleasant and helpful as well!
Good 7.9
Pros: Comfortable bed, good pillows and linens, very good breakfast.
Cons: Pretty bare bones, no TV, and unusual (wet) shower.
Good 7.9
Pros: Stayed here before and it is in an excellent location for visiting the old town.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Old traditional French hotel. Well maintained and confortable. Large, clean rooms.
Good 7.0
Pros: The hotel was old fashioned but as an English traveller I prefer that to very modern hotels. It’s location was great for during the day. Staff were friendly. Great parking.
Cons: Shower very old fashioned. Didn’t like the walk back from town after dinner as an older single female. Wish there had been a restaurant on site even just for a Sunday meal as everything closes on a Sunday in France. Staff a bit over zealous on the Covid regulations.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very charming 19th century "hôtel particulier" right at the entrance to the old city centre (straight 10 minutes walk to central main square in the old "bastide" of Carcassone). Clean, good value for money, very welcoming hosts, parking inside or on the street (paid). Good choice for a long weekend stay.
Okay 5.0
Cons: Very small room, around 2km from the Castel, not in the city center. The breakfast was limited without fruits.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very friendly, staff and a nice house with clean rooms and beautiful old furniture. Good breakfast!
Cons: Have been there on weekend and it was quite pricy in comparison to other Hotels.
Good 7.1
Pros: Free parking, dog friendly, comfortable bed and clean room. Staff were friendly and always available.
Cons: Clean but the decor was dated; shower was very feeble; quite expensive for what it was, and breakfast not included in the price; area around the hotel was run down. Now realise we could have booked something closer to the centre/ old city at better value.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Clean and warm and very cold night - -4 and snowing so stayed in the room and read. Helpful staff when I booked in and very helpful for breakfast.
Cons: Nothing - all good.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Room was clean and comfortable. Location excellent as I needed to be close to airport. Did not book breakfast. Did. to plan to eat out in the evening so cannot comment on local facilities but looked very good.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Pets welcome ! 24h and very friendly reception (didn't charge for my very quiet and gentile dog companion). Quiet enough and well placed for a halt when you're traveling. Very good price when you don't have to pay for your pet.
Cons: Apparently, my request for a quiet room had been totally disregarded. Fortunately, the person who received me was very attentive about my request and did is best to compensate.
Good 7.0
Pros: Simple place with the basics - clean compact rooms and a breakfast area downstairs, plus a scrap of grass and trees where you can sit outside in an otherwise industrial location. Helpful staff. Adequate breakfast apart from all the plastic packaging waste from individual portions!
Cons: Bleak location (industrial estate/shopping malls) but convenient for airport (20-min walk does it comfortably). No obvious public transport links from the city or anywhere else - a long and unappealing walk from town (about 3 miles from rail station?) or a taxi (cost me 18 euro in Sept 2020). You could use the airport bus to the airport, if you can find one, and then walk (max 20 mins).
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Gentle and professional staff
Cons: Even though the affordable price, breakfast quite strict
Good 7.0
Pros: Very close to airport, fast food eateries close by. Functional, family rooms. Beds comfortable. Breakfast a bit rudimentary but good coffee and croissant, good for price.
Cons: Difficult to make bed on upper bunk. Undersheet and duvet would be better and unclear how clean blanket was. Should be pre-made. Just about clean enough, crumbs on floor, shower could do with a good scrub in the joints, shower head holder broken. Doors quite noisy so difficult to get to sleep when other arriving.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Great price, clean place, friendly staff
Cons: Nothing

Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Nothing at all. It was by far the poorest hotel we have stayed in. It was very unwelcoming and the facilities were awful.
Cons: The reception and "dining facilities" were across the car park in a separate building. The dining room was closed and food was only available if you collected it and carried it back to your room to eat. The receptionist was curt and aggressive to the point of being rude. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and only one paper cup in the bathroom. There was one plastic chair and a small stool. The bathroom stank of a drain smell which was marginally better by morning. The bed was adequate but one of the bedside tables had stains which my wife wiped away. This was all for a "superior double room". The morning staff were fine but the pre-ordered and prepaid breakfast was not ready as a mistake had been made but was prepared while we were obliged to serve ourselves from a coffee machine. The entire experience was a disgrace and we will think very seriously about using both Kyriad and Booking .com in the future. Both were poor.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Loved the towels, comfortable bedding, the receptionists were very nice and welcome
Cons: Could improve the petit déjeuner selections a little more
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Appalling internet totally unacceptable in the 21st century in fact there was mo internet what so ever during our stay. Careless approach of staff who weren’t bothered to help fix problems. Shabby tired property.
Good 7.0
Pros: very nice personnel, close to airport
Cons: bad smell in bathroom

Good 7.0
Pros: This is a small modern hotel in the ZI, ideal for a night before flying from the nearby airport or for accessing Carcassonne from a nearby bus stop. We were made very welcome at reception and the breakfast of cereal, ham, eggs, cheese, bread, croissants, yoghurt, homemade jam and tea, coffee and juice was available from 7.00 and met our needs perfectly. Everything was very clean, reception, dining area and the bedroom and ensuite bathroom, with a comfy bed. Tourist information and maps available at reception.
Cons: The hotel is described as 0. 6 km from Carcassonne airport and therefore we thought we could easily walk there with minimal luggage. However the walk involves crossing two busy main roads without crossing points and therefore was not very safe. Our room seemed a bit stuffy and the ensuite bathroom is tiny, but in fact this is not really a problem for one night only. Despite being advertised as offering food Monday to Friday evenings, there was no dinner available on our Friday evening and also no restaurants open nearby. We had to get supplies from a local supermarket, directed there from reception, again with busy roads to negotiate! Despite all of this, we would use the hotel again.
Okay 5.0
Pros: Breakfast v poor. Tiny rooms - felt like a small cabin on a ship. Hi
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very small and basic accommodation fine for short stay, also very near airport. Delightful hosts, very helpful.
Cons: Fine for the one night stay near the airport we required
Good 7.1
Pros: It is a cheap place to shower and crash. But it not something u won’t to spend time in. More for the all day sight seers. The castle is a must see.
Cons: Smoking happens in rooms and no privacy to have the blinds open on the bottom level to the car park. Otherwise it good for what it is.
Good 6.3
Cons: Very musty smell in our room.
Good 7.5
Cons: The automatic check in wasn't working, it told you to report to reception but nobody was on reception.

Good 6.0
Pros: Good value for money. Staff very helpful.
Cons: Parking was not secured.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, coffee and camembert cheese were perfect. Owner was very welcoming. Very good to use for airport arrival or departure.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly staff. Easy parking
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The breakfast was adequate and our host pleasant.
Cons: The hotel needs a facelift. There was a smell of cigarette smoke throughout. Most things were inadequate, eg coat hangers, hanging space, decent towels, space generally.
Good 7.1
Pros: I liked it all, I got what I paid for, a bed for the night, good breakfast.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Airport stopover so no time for breakfast - though the restaurant (evening and breakfast) looked good. The welcome was very friendly The room was compact but very comfortable - nice bathroom/shower - good air conditioning + working WiFi. Close to a large shopping mall to avoid airport prices for last minute necessities/pressies. Very close to airport - 10 min walk, no taxi fares! Super affordable but didn't feel cheapo.
Cons: A kettle in the room with a couple of tea bags would have gone down a treat. Otherwise perfect for pre-flight stopover.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great location lovely breakfast manager extremely friendly and helpful lovely relaxed atmosphere would definitely stay again
Cons: Nothing everything was great
Good 6.7
Pros: The price, the staff were friendly, and we had a relaxed and pleasant stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had an evening meal which was good and not expensive.
Cons: Run down condition of the hotel.
